Chapter Text
That morning changed my life. My alarm didn’t go off, so I woke up HALF AN HOUR late! I jumped out of bed, rushing to get ready for school. I pressed play on my favourite playlist, and the opening bars of Hayloft by Mother Mother filled my room. I opened my closet, grabbed out a red flannel, faded band t-shirt, a pair of jeans, my favourite vans, and quickly changed. As I cuffed my jeans and tied my shoelaces, I glanced into the mirror. ‘Today is gonna be a good day.’ I thought to myself. I then continued getting ready for the day. I threw my bright purple hair into a messy bun, put in my favourite self-made earrings, and grabbed my sage green school bag, tossing my school books, my pencil case and my copies of Nevermoor, Wundersmith and Hollowpox into it. I then turned to leave my room. Right as I was about to grab the handle, my mum shouted from downstairs.
“Y/N!”
