Work Text:
Soobin hated parties.
The music was pumping in his ears, the room smelled like sweat and alcohol. The house was full of people he had seen once or twice. They seemed to be having fun, dancing carelessly and drinking anything they found in a cup, messing around. He had already lost the sight of his two friends and it was too awkward to stand alone on the corner, hoping that people would ignore him and continue what they were doing.
And the worst part was that he had helped to prepare this party and he was going to help to clean after, too.
Sometimes, he hated how much Beomgyu loved throwing parties and Heuningkai letting him to use his damn enormous house. And he hated how he could never resist Hueningkai’s puppy eyes whenever he asked for help.
He sighed and headed to the upstairs, he knew it was less crowded in here since the first floor was large enough for everyone.
He passed through some of his classmates who gave him a little nod and a few strangers who didn’t even look at his way.
He opened the bathroom door and went in. He washed his face to shrug off the heaviness on himself. He was tired rather than drunk. He was already struggling with the lack of sleep due to his classes and the loud music, which he could still hear, didn’t do good to his aching head.
He squeezed his temples, hoping it would help but nothing changed.
The door suddenly opened, making him startled and hit his head to cabinet a little hardly. He groaned with pain and tried to caress his forehead but as soon as his fingers touched his skin a strong pain covered his body.
“Oh, I am so sorry!” He heard a familiar voice and he felt all of his blood rushed to his face. “I thought it was empty, I didn’t mean to.” Soobin turned his face to look at the boy, when they caught each other’s eyes his heart fastened in his chest.
“Oh, Soobin-ah.” The older said when he recognized him, a kind smile appeared on his beautiful face but it soon disappeared when he saw the sour expression on the younger’s face. He stepped closer. “Are you okay?”
Soobin felt his hand touch his shoulder, throwing chills down on his spine. He was totally sober, he hadn’t drunk even just a drip but it was this one little touch to make him feel so intoxicated. He wanted to speak but suddenly his head was so dizzy he couldn’t find a proper word to say.
It wasn’t anybody else but Choi Yeonjun, his long-timed love. The only reason why he endured these parties.
“Does it hurt so much? Let me look.” He said, tiptoeing to see his forehead clearly. Soobin found it cute.
He obeyed the older and lowered himself, he could feel his heart beating in his ears. The older was close, he was so close that their nose almost brushed each other. His eyes dropped to the older’s lips, those pink, half open and kissable lips. He wanted so bad to lean closer and learn how those pretty lips tasted like. But he couldn’t.
They weren’t strangers but they weren’t friends either. They had come across on the campus for a few times, chitchatted for five minutes or less. They had different types of friends and lessons so it was hard to talk to him more.
The only time he could see the older for a long time was these parties he hated so much. He could watch him dancing, laughing and playing with his friends. If he was lucky enough they would bump into each other and spend the rest of the night together, talking and dancing like fools.
That was why Soobin bared these stupid parties. That was why he helped the preparation. He would always go the shopping by himself, just to make sure they had enough drink and food that Yeonjun loved so much. He would always pick up the music, so that Yeonjun could dance to his favorite songs, happily.
“It doesn’t look bad.” Yeonjun said, making Soobin to get out of his thoughts. Soobin felt the older’s long fingers brushed his hot skin. “Should I kiss it to make it better?” He heard him murmuring.
“Yes.”
The words fell from Soobin’s mouth without his permission. When he realized what he had said he pulled back himself, he turned his head to hide his flushed face. He thought a runaway but the older was blocking the door and there wasn’t any windows that he could fit. Was he strong enough to burry himself on the titles?
But then he heard the older giggled. He hoped Yeonjun was tipsy enough to shrug this off and he wouldn’t remember this in the morning. But Soobin couldn’t smell the alcohol. And a part of him secretly wanted him to be sober.
Yeonjun stepped closer, almost their chests touched each other. Soobin turned back his head and looked him. He tiptoed again.
It was gentle, the older’s lips didn’t even press the hurting spot. A butterfly kiss what they called this? But it was enough to make Soobin weak on the legs, the pain was long forgotten. His heart was beating so fast Soobin feared he was going to die from a heart attack.
“Feels better?” Yeonjun asked, Soobin heard a slightly proud tone in his voice. He couldn’t back up-well, he didn’t want to. He couldn’t do except looking at the older with mesmerized eyes, heart on his mouth. He nodded, he didn’t trust his voice in a situation like this.
“Sorry for startling you in the first place.” Yeonjun said, not breaking the eye contact. His breath brushed over Soobin’s cheeks. He had leaned on the sink, one of his legs were touching the younger’s and his hand rested next to Soobin’s, his pinky finger hooked over the latter’s.
Soobin closed his eyes for a second, trying to gather his senses. He could feel the tension between them. It wasn’t his desperate imagination, right?
Then Soobin remembered why they were in this situation, he couldn’t let himself melt into a muddle because of the little touchs. They didn’t mean anything to the older, probably.
“I should go, you can use the bathroom.” He said but he didn’t make a move for leaving, his body decided to not to listen to him. The traitor.
Yeonjun shook his head. “It’s okay, I had come to fix my outfit.” He whispered, looking at the younger with his enchanting eyes. Soobin took a deep breath to calm his racing heart.
Now that Yeonjun drew attention, he looked at the older. He wore a sky blue shirt. Its’ three buttons were undone, exposing his muscular chest. For pants, it was a ripped black jean that wrapped his long legs just right. He had his usual earrings and some rings Soobin had seen a few times. His hair was split into two, a few strands rested on his forehead perfectly. Soobin couldn’t be sure if he had makeup on but either way he looked stunning.
Soobin felt his mouth got dry, he licked his lips out of habit. He shouldn’t have those inappropriate thoughts that were starting to fill his head.
“I don’t think there is something need fixing, hyung.” Soobin blurted out, his voice was low but it was heard clearly.
Yeonjun raised his eyebrows and turned his back to look at the mirror, opening the way out. It might have been the best chance to run but Soobin’s body betrayed him again, not letting him move a muscle. It was almost like he was glued to where he was standing.
“A little lipgloss, maybe.” Yeonjun said, reaching his pocket and taking out a lipgloss. Soobin watched him as he applied the shiny red layer to his plump, already red lips. The layer stood still so perfectly on the older’s tempting lips.
Soobin wanted to ruin it so much.
Soobin knew he should not do the thing in his mind. No matter how much he wanted, it would be rude. He didn’t know what the other was feeling towards him. He would infringe the older’s privacy, kissing him without his permission. He was a gentleman, for god’s sake.
However he couldn’t take his eyes off of the older’s lips, like he was enchanted, he couldn’t rule his body once again. One last thing from the older, he would lose the little control he had on himself.
Yeonjun looked at him from the mirror, a smug smile appeared on his face. “Why are you looking at me like that?” He asked, his voice sounded confident. He turned back, it felt like he was even closer than before. He raised the gloss in his hand.
“Do you want some too?”
Fuck .
Soobin leaned closer, hovering over the older’s lips. He pushed him to the sink, capturing him completely. He took the lipgloss and put it somewhere on the counter. Then he placed his hand on the older’s waist, not letting him go.
He tasted like strawberries, probably because of the lip gloss he just applied.
The tiny part of his brain which succeeded to protect his sanity was screaming with panic. It said him to stop, he had no right to do this. He must’ve been crazy for doing this!
Soobin pulled back quickly, murmuring apologizes over a thousand time in a breath. He wanted to punch himself real hard, he had probably ruined the little friendship they had.
Then he heard Yeonjun laughing, his honey like voice filled his ears, melting his heart. He grabbed the younger’s collar and pulled him closer, Soobin could feel his hot breaths on his cheeks.
“Soobin-ah.” Yeonjun whispered with his husky voice, sending shivers down Soobin’s spine. His long fingers touched his collarbone, caressing it with affection. Soobin saw a sparkle behind his half opened eyes. “I’m telling this in case you didn’t notice.” He leaned closer. “I’m so freaking in love with you.”
Before Soobin could answer, Yeonjun connected their lips again. Soobin exhaled in relief, holding the older more tightly.
A part of him couldn’t believe what was happening, he must’ve been dreaming. There was no way in the hell Yeonjun, the Choi Yeonjun , the most alluring person in the whole university who could have anyone he wanted was in love with Soobin, the nerdy boy from the science faculty.
But the other part of him was aware that he wasn’t dreaming, he could never imagine the taste of the older’s lips this realistic.
He licked the older’s lower lip, the strawberry flavor filled his mouth causing him to smile. Yeonjun parted his lips, slipping his tongue into the younger’s. When the hot and soft muscle met with his own Soobin thought he was going to faint right there.
Soobin pulled back when he needed to breath. His chest was heaving with the older’s, their pounding hearts were bending together.
Soobin half opened his eyes, he lifted his hand and touched the older’s eyebrows. He caressed them gently, feeling how soft they were. He cracked a smile.
He leaned and kiss them, earning a giggle from Yeonjun. He then kissed his eyes, hands going back the older’s waist. He put another kiss to the tip of his nose.
“Soobin-ah, what are you doing?” Yeonjun said giggling. Soobin backed up a little to look at him, he smiled.
“I think you already know.” He whispered, lips brushing his lips. “I love you, hyung.”
Yeonjun wrapped his arms around the younger’s neck, looking at him with a gleam in his eyes. “You’ve waited so long to say this, baby.” He said.
“I didn’t want to ruin what we had.” Soobin said, burying his head into the older’s neck. He inhaled his scent. “Whereas, I’m just a geek.”
Yeonjun chuckled and held his chin, making him look at him. “Then it’s a good thing I’m sapiosexual.” He said, pulling him into another kiss.
