You’re Mine

Summary:

“But when you entered my life, when I started to fall in love with you I realized how miserable I’ve been.” Soobin said as he held the older’s hand more tightly, Yeonjun looked at him. “You erased all of my sadness which I didn’t even know I had. You healed my broken heart, you caught me, hyung. For that, I could finally moved on, I could let the past go.”

Sequel to I’m Yours!

Notes:

Finally, here's the second part of I'm Yours, the trip date!
Sorry it took long, I was a little depressed and didn't have the motivation to be honest.

Inspired by Lea Michele's You're Mine!

It's long but I hope you enjoy! <3

Work Text:

It all started when Yeonjun saw the younger next to one of his friends, Hyunjin.

He was all shy, always standing by his boyfriend as he flashed some bunny like smiles to the people around him, not looking at them twice. So insecure...

Yeonjun shouldn’t have developed feelings for his friend’s boyfriend. It was a no no. But he couldn’t stop his heart, Soobin was so cute and precious that he couldn’t stop himself falling for him.

He could’ve move on if Soobin hadn’t showed up everywhere he went. The convenience store that was a block away from his house, the local library he barely went in his life, the cafe he worked at the weekends, the market that he stopped by after his dance practices... It was almost like the universe decided to torture Yeonjun.

The worst thing was, Soobin had never noticed him. The younger was so in love with his boyfriend he never paid attention to the others. That was another sign for him to forget Soobin-which he failed every time he had tried. The younger had become a part of his life that he couldn’t throw away.

Pathetic, right?

But how could he ignore that dazzling feeling whenever he saw Soobin’s dimpled smile, the light and joy it had? Yeonjun fell in love with him more and more while watching him afar, knowing him little by little. The younger had affected him so strongly that every time they got closer than ten meters his brain gave a short circuit. One time they accidentally bumped into each other at the convenient store, Yeonjun couldn’t speak for the rest of the day. He was completely sure that there was only Soobin for him, he didn’t want anybody else. If only he had found Soobin before Hyunjin...

Pathetic, indeed.

However, after a few months Soobin started to lose his happiness, Yeonjun could see. The younger wouldn’t smile like he used to do, he wouldn’t wave at random babies he saw. He wouldn't play with the neighborhood kids at the park, he wouldn't come to the cafe as frequent as before. He wouldn’t stop in the middle of the sidewalk to pet a stray animal, he wouldn’t chitchat with the librarian as he helped her.

There would always be a tired look on his face like he couldn’t sleep at nights, his puffy eyes could be seen very clearly. He was more quiet than before, always looking down.

Not soon after, Yeonjun learned that Hyunjin cheated on Soobin.

If there wasn’t Beomgyu to stop him at that time, Yeonjun would’ve beat him like a piece of meat.

Yeonjun wanted to go to Soobin, he wanted to wrap his wounds and heal his broken heart so bad. He wanted to put back that dimpled smile he adored so much on his lips again. He wanted to make him happy, cherish him and give the love he deserved.

But Soobin seemed so closed towards everyone, Yeonjun couldn’t find courage to approach him. Even after two years. He hopelessly waited for the universe to help him.

Luckily, the universe did pitied him.

Yeonjun hadn’t thought he would see Soobin at the camp field which Beomgyu begged him to go with him.

He wasn’t going to, he had a flight at that night and he wasn’t in the mood for skating. It wasn’t like he wasn’t happy for his cousin who he grew up with, he felt happy that his hyung and his significant other could finally be together.

However, the wedding only reminded him his one-sided love and how he was a coward who couldn’t speak to his crush even after two years, waiting for some miracle to happen.

So, he wanted to stay at his apartment, maybe reversing his assignments before the spring break was over and watch variety shows.

But Beomgyu was so persistent that he found himself on the driver seat, giving a lift to the younger.

“I’ll drop you off and then I’ll go, okay?” Yeonjun said, taking a turn to right. Beomgyu didn’t speak but Yeonjun could see his grin which made him more frustrated.

He entered the parking lot, found an empty spot and parked his jeep. He turned his head and gestured the younger to get off. “C’mon, why are you waiting?” He said, a little annoyed.

“Are you really going to let me set the tent alone, are you that cruel, hyung?” Beomgyu said, pouting.

At that moment, Yeonjun understood something wasn’t right. His friend was hiding something from him, he could read it on his face now.

“Beomgyu, spill it or else I’ll drive to the airport without waiting you to get off and I won’t care how you go back home.” He said, eyes piercing the younger.

“Okay, okay.” Beomgyu said, knowing he would do it without hesitation. “Huening Kai said to me that he will be here with his friends.” He waited for a response-which was just a confused look.

“You know, Huening Kai from my music club, the cute dongsaeng I told you before. And his friends, Taehyun who I have a huge crush on for over a year.” He said.

Yeonjun nodded, remembering the names. Especially Taehyun. Beomgyu wouldn’t shut up if he started to talk about him once. He understood why Beomgyu was so willing to come here but he still didn’t know why he was here.

“And?” Yeonjun said, waiting for him to continue. He was running out of patience.

“And Soobin hyung.”

Oh, that made sense.

Yeonjun squeezed the wheel, not telling anything for a while. It could be his chance, if he was lucky he could finally introduce himself to Soobin and maybe they could get closer a little. It could be the day that his waiting ended.

“Beomgyu-ya, I am not sure.” He said, sighing. He hated to be like this, hopeless and pathetic. He used to have the confidence, the courage and other things that was needed.

But when it was about Soobin, all of that flew away, leaving him with an empty brain and a horrified heart. He was so scared of losing the tinniest chance to be with Soobin, he couldn’t do anything except sit and wait.

“Hyung.” Beomgyu said, his voice was serious this time. “You’re head over the heels in love with him for two and a half year. Don’t you think it’s time to do something about it?”

Yeonjun knew he was right. He couldn’t live his life like this anymore.

He took out the car key and opened his door without thinking twice, or else he wouldn’t find the courage again.

“Sorry you had to stuck with me for eight hours, Soobin-ah.” Yeonjun said, starting the engine. They couldn’t find a direct flight to Jeju so they were going to take ferry. Which Yeonjun liked more, thus they could spend more time together, alone.

He tried to act cool but his whole body was trembling with excitement and happiness. If Soobin noticed, he didn’t say anything.

“No, hyung. I am sorry you missed your flight last night.” Soobin said, smiling timidly. His dimple showed up, tempting the older to poke it.

“Don’t be.” Yeonjun said, he smiled. He didn’t care about his missed flight even a bit. He didn’t care about driving for hours. He didn’t care about anything except Soobin. “Because I am not.” He whispered.

“I wonder if Kai and Taehyun will be okay?” Soobin whispered to himself, probably trying to change the subject. Yeonjun chuckled as he exited the parking lot.

“Gyu is a responsible guy even if he doesn't look like that, they’ll be fine. Don’t worry.” Yeonjun said. It was so cute that Soobin acted like a mother towards his friends.

Soobin nodded. “It’s not that I don’t trust Beomgyu, I think Taehyun and Kai are still hangover.” He said.

Yeonjun chuckled as last night’s memories filled his head. Even though Soobin had warned his friends over and over again they managed to drink more than two can and the rest of the night was... well, chaotic.

Soobin’s ears got red, probably he was still embarrassed of his friends’ behavior but Yeonjun didn’t mind it at all. He was friends with Beomgyu since their baby ages, he had seen far more worse.

“They were cute.” Yeonjun said, he smiled to Soobin. “And trust me, I would be the one who died from embarrassment if Beomgyu was drunk.”

Soobin seemed to be more relaxed, he smiled shyly as he nodded.

“Hyung, tell me when you’re tired.” The younger said. Yeonjun shook his head. “It’s okay, you just relax.” He said and turned on the radio, one of his favorite songs started to play. Yeonjun smiled. “And enjoy our date.”

Soobin’s ears got red again. Yeonjun thought how many times would it take Soobin to get used to him. Maybe a week? If he was lucky, maybe a few days?

Whether it was soon or later, Yeonjun liked seeing shy Soobin. At least he knew he made the younger flustered.

“Hyung, can we stop by at my house? I can’t attend a wedding wearing casual clothes.” Soobin said. Yeonjun nodded and pointed the navigator with his head. “Enter your address, Soobin-ah.” He said.

Actually, Yeonjun knew where Soobin lived, just two blocks away from his apartment. That was why they crossed paths so many times-which Soobin never realized.

He also knew other things about the younger, with the help of his friend. He knew Soobin studied law, it was his junior year. He knew he could skate and even won a competition in the high school. (Yeonjun decided to ask Soobin on a date when the younger lied about skating, he felt like he had a chance for real.) Soobin liked to bake, Beomgyu had brought him a cookie that Soobin made and it was the most delicious thing Yeonjun ever had eaten.

Yeonjun knew other small things too such as his favorite restaurant and menu, his obsession with ice cream and his favorite flavor, the book he read over and over again, the song he liked to hum, the cardigan he wore the most and more.

But he wasn’t going to tell them at once, he didn’t want to seemed like a stalker which he wasn’t, he was just a good observer.

Soobin entered his address and leaned back to his seat, Yeonjun could see he was getting more comfortable.

“Are you hungry? We didn’t get to chance to have breakfast.” Yeonjun asked as he stopped at the red light. It was early in the morning, six am to be specific, Yeonjun hated making Soobin wake up this early but they had to arrive to the island before the evening.

Soobin nodded. “There are snacks in the drawer, you can have whatever you want.” Yeonjun said, he always kept something to eat in the car so that he wouldn’t pass out after his unexpected dance practices. And he might’ve bought Soobin’s favorites without noticing.

Soobin opened the drawer and took two packets of milk bread and some chocolate. Yeonjun wasn’t surprised by his choice, he smiled as he started driving.

The younger opened one of the packets and split some of the bread. What Yeonjun didn’t expect was that him to reach out the bread to him. “You didn’t eat anything too.” Soobin said. “You need energy to drive, hyung.”

Yeonjun was surprised but he let the younger to feed him as he drove. He remembered how his mother would feed his father like this while they were traveling. He felt like they were already a couple, his heart fastened a little at the thought.

“Ah, there are some crumbs.” Soobin said and wiped the older’s lips with his thumb, his finger lingered longer than it should’ve. Yeonjun’s heart jolted in his chest, he felt his cheeks getting hot. He wasn’t sure if there was something on his lips for real but he was so intoxicated to care. It was just a small touch that Yeonjun didn’t know he was craving for two years.

“Thanks, Soobin-ah.” He said, not taking his eyes off of the road. He knew he was blushing and it was impossible for the younger to not to see. Yeonjun saw his bunny like lips curved into a grin, it was new to him, seeing a bold Soobin-he didn’t complain though.

After that Soobin ate his own bread and chocolate, not skipping giving some to the older. They talked, most about music since the radio kept playing their favorite songs. Yeonjun made Soobin laugh with his dad jokes more than once, he was surprised to be honest, Beomgyu and his other friends hated his jokes. But he wanted to keep telling them just to make Soobin laugh, he liked how it sounded. Like two years ago, it was joyful.

They arrived at the younger’s house. Yeonjun parked his jeep and turned to Soobin who smiled at him. “I’ll be right back, hyung. It won’t last more then ten minutes.” Soobin said.

“It’s okay, I think I’ll go to the convenience store to buy something. Take your time, Soobin-ah.” Yeonjun replied as both of them get off the car.

They met after fifteen minutes, Soobin had a small red luggage in his hand, Yeonjun saw it had Mickey Mouse ears. It was so cute.

Soobin followed his eyes and when he realized what he was smiling at, his ears got red again. “I-I couldn’t find another.” He murmured.

Yeonjun laughed as he opened the trunk, he gestured the younger to come. He took the luggage from him. “I didn’t say anything, Soobin-ah.” He said, placing the luggage. He closed the trunk. They got in the car.

“I bought water, a few drinks and more snacks.” Yeonjun pointed at the back as he spoke. Then he realized he forgot to ask what Soobin wanted, he mentally face palmed himself. “If you want anything else I’ll go get it.” He added quickly.

Soobin shook his head. “It’s okay, hyung.” He said. “Thank you.” He added softly.

Soon, Soobin got sleepy. Yeonjun could see his attempts to hold back his yawning. He smiled, everything he did was so cute.

“You can sleep, Soobin-ah.” Yeonjun said, turning down the volume. He might have overheard that Soobin liked to sleep while listening to music on low volume. Was it Taehyun who said to Beomgyu who told Yeonjun? He didn’t remember but it wasn’t important. “I’ll wake you up when I stop for needs.”

Soobin refused at first but his eyes betrayed him, he was soon fast asleep.

Soobin was the one who was sleeping but Yeonjun felt like he was resting. Hearing breathing of the man he loved so much, feeling the said man’s presence next to him, being able to talk to him and heck, taking him on a date for a week! His waiting over two years was finally paid off.

After three hours of driving Yeonjun stopped at a gas station. He needed to refill the tank before taking the ferry.

He looked at Soobin who was still asleep on the passenger seat. His lips was half opened, a few strands were covering his eyes. Yeonjun tried so hard to not to lean and kiss him to wake him up.

He gently shook Soobin’s shoulders, the younger opened his eyes within a second, standing up and yelling “I was just resting my eyes!”.

Yeonjun smiled bitterly. Was Soobin getting enough amount of sleep? He wasn’t overworking himself, right?

“For three hours?” Yeonjun joked. He already regretted stopping now, he could find another gas station for sure. He wished he had let Soobin sleep more.

Soobin blinked a few times, looking at his surroundings. Then he looked at Yeonjun, a timid smile appeared on his lips. “Sorry, hyung. I was dreaming.” He said.

Yeonjun smiled. “It’s okay. I’ll fuel up, you can use the restroom if you want.” He said. Soobin nodded and again they got off of the car together. Yeonjun fulled the tank and paid for it.

When he came back to his car he saw Soobin was talking on the phone next to the car, his face was red. Yeonjun assumed he was talking with one of his friends. There he was again, shy Soobin. He got a little closer to the younger, he wasn't going to listen, he already had to go to driver part where Soobin was standing.

"I swear, Kang Taehyun, if you tease me again I'm going to tell Beomgyu that you have a big fat crush on him since the very beginning of the university!" Soobin spoke a little too loudly.

Well, that was new.

"Try me." Soobin said again. Yeonjun started to think the reason of his blushing might not be the shyness.

Yeonjun coughed. Soobin jolted as he looked at him in shock, he murmured something to his phone and ended the call. He smiled as he scratched his neck. "Did you hear what I said before?" He sounded guilty.

Yeonjun smiled as he opened his door. "All I heard was that my friend's crush liked him back and I don't even know who said that." He winked as he got in, Soobin following him.

The rest of the road was funny, they joked about their friend's "one sided" love. Soobin talked about himself, telling things Yeonjun didn't know. He told so many memories of him, always skipping one, they laughed together at his clumsiness.

When they arrived to the ferry the clock showed ten thirty. Yeonjun bought a ticket for the next headway which was fifteen minutes later.

“Hyung.” Soobin said as he patted the older’s shoulder. They were sitting on a bench while waiting, the weather was good and there weren’t so many people around. It was peaceful, if you asked Yeonjun.

“Hm?” He turned to look at the younger. Soobin pointed his t-shirt. “Aren’t you cold? It’s breezy.” He said timidly, his cheeks were slightly red. Yeonjun wasn’t sure if the younger thought the same thing as him, but he didn’t hesitate to say what was on his mind.

“A little.” He lied. “Maybe if you hug me I will feel warm.” He didn’t care if he was going a little bit fast but he had waited long enough. He was sick of being a coward and now that he knew he had a chance, he didn’t want to hold back anymore. It felt good to gain his confidence once again.

Soobin’s cheeks were painted with a darker shade of red as he sidled to Yeonjun. He took the older’s arm and rested his head to the latter’s shoulder. Yeonjun felt his heart fastened with the action. So simple yet so effective.

“Soobin-ah.” Yeonjun said this time. The younger hummed saying he was listening. Yeonjun smiled. “I haven’t felt like this peaceful for a long time.” He whispered just enough for him to hear.

“Me too.” Soobin replied, his voice was low. “I don’t know how you do it, hyung, but thank you.”

They didn’t speak after that. They just sat in a comfortable silent, enjoying each other’s accompany, spending their fifteen minutes like this, peaceful.

Yeonjun slept during the ferry, he was kinda upset for not staying awake but he had been driving for almost five hours and he was going to drive for another half an hour and after that, sigh, he had to help with the wedding.

Soobin woke him up when they arrived at the island. The younger smiled at him. “Good morning, hyung.” He said. Yeonjun replied with a smile, trying to shake off the sleepiness of himself.

“Did you get bored?” He asked and started the engine as the ferry coasted. Soobin shook his head. “I even got a chance to finish my assignment.” He said as the car got off the ferry.

Yeonjun looked at him for a second and turned his eyes to the road again. “Did you bring your homework to our date, Soobin-ah? Am I that boring?” He teased.

“No!” Soobin yelped, ears getting pink once again. “It was an online assignment.” He informed.

Yeonjun chuckled as he took a turn to left. “I’m kidding.” He said. Soobin hummed, there was a small but so adorable pout on his lips.

“Taehyun called me again, by the way.” He said after a few minutes. “Well, it was actually Beomgyu who called from Taehyun’s phone. He said he called you but your phone was off.”

Yeonjun nodded, he hadn’t charged his phone.Maybe it was dead since yesterday, he didn’t know, he didn’t need to look at it. “I’ll call him once we arrived.” He said. “Did he say something urgent?”

Soobin shook his head. “Nothing for you. But he kinda wished me good luck with your family. Should I be concerned, hyung?” He said, his voice was already uneasy. Yeonjun was going to scold Beomgyu for that.

“No, no.” He said quickly. “My family can be really annoying though but not in a bad way.” He added. “They will probably ask so many questions and my mother can talk too much sometimes but I’m sure they’ll love you.”

Soobin didn’t say something, he seemed to be thinking. “I hope so.” He whispered.

After twenty minutes, they finally arrived at their destination, the hotel where the wedding was going to be. The hotel which Yeonjun’s parent owned.

Yeonjun parked his car on his usual spot and turned to the younger who seemed to be nervous. He held Soobin’s, a little shaky, hand. He gave him an assuring smile. “Are you okay?” He said.

Soobin looked at their intertwined hands for a while then he nodded. “I just, remembered a bitter memory.” He whispered and looked up, he smiled.

Yeonjun smiled back and let go of his hand. He couldn’t know what memory it was but he hoped it wasn’t about Hyunjin. That jerk didn’t deserve to be in Soobin’s mind anymore, he had hurt him enough. Yeonjun just wanted Soobin to be happy, with him.

Yeonjun took the luggages from the trunk and locked his car. They walked to the entrance of the hotel.

“Yeonjun-ah, you’re finally here!” His mother greeted them in the reception, she was talking to the receptionist before they had entered.

Yeonjun smiled. “It’s not even five, mom. I don’t think I am late.” He said back as he put the luggages on the ground. But his mother’s attention wasn’t on him anymore.

The woman smiled sweetly when she looked at the taller figure next to his son. She walked towards them with the same smile. “Oh my! So this is Soobin!” She chirped.

Well, Yeonjun’s family knew about his very long timed crush.

Soobin bowed to the woman. “Nice to meet you, Mrs. Choi.” He said with a shy smile. Yeonjun’s mother held him by his shoulder, she gave him a small hug. “Nice to meet you, too. And please, call me auntie, honey.” She said.

Yeonjun had thought Soobin would get tensed by this, after all, they had met just yesterday. It could be overwhelming for the younger. For that he was going to interrupt but he stood still when he saw Soobin.

The younger’s face lit up as his shoulders relaxed. Yeonjun even saw him exhaled in relief. Soobin nodded.

The woman turned his son, Yeonjun could tell she already loved Soobin. “Junnie, go help Taehyung and Jungkook. They’re stuck on the cake flavor since the morning. Your father will go crazy.” She said and turned to other boy. “I’ll escort Soobin to his room. Yeongchul-ssi, please take the luggages. And maybe we will have a cup of tea-oh, you must be hungry, dear! There’s still two hours for hotel’s dinner. What about I take you out to eat instead? We can have Seongge Guk, Okdom Gui or Gogi Guksu. Have you ever tried them? Then I’ll show you around, there are so many things I can tell you about Yeonjun! Did you know he once broke his arm when he was skating. You should’ve seen him, he tried to act like a man, holding his tears. But when he saw me...”

“Mom-!” Yeonjun tried to stop his mother but they were already out of sight, Yeonjun was long forgotten. He heard Soobin’s genuine laughter, at least he was happy.

Yeonjun sighed as he headed to the kitchen. He greeted some of the workers on the way. He heard the voices before even entering the kitchen.

“Isn’t chocolate with vanilla so ropy? Everybody uses this, I don’t want to be like others.” Taehyung said. Yeonjun heard his father’s sigh.

“Taehyung-ah, it is not ropy. It is classic and you had agreed it three months ago.” The baker, Mr. Choi, said. Taehyung was about say something when Yeonjun entered the kitchen and took the attention on himself. He smiled to the three men as he approached to them.

"Thank God, Yeonjun is here to save the day." Jungkook said as a wide smile appeared on his lips. Yeonjun stood next to his father who seemed so fed up, the adult looked at him asking for a help.

"So, did I understand right? Taehyung hyung doesn't want the vanilla flavor anymore because it's ropy." Yeonjun said. "Classic." His father corrected. Taehyung nodded. "But hyung, you said you wanted the vanilla." The youngest asked.

"I know but I thought about it again. I mean, I don't want a common flavor when my uncle is a worldwide famous baker." Taehyung answered.

"We should be thankful that he didn't change his mind on the wedding day." Jungkook said as he rested his head on his fiance. The older ruffled his hair as he smiled, telling that he was, indeed, right.

"Then," Yeonjun said. "What about hazelnut? Dad, you didn't make anyone your famous hazelnut cake for their wedding, right?"

"Yes, it will be the first." The adult said, relaxing a bit. Yeonjun turned to his cousin, raising his eyebrows. Jungkook lifted his head. "It'll be unique, hyung." He said.

"Okay." Taehyung said after a few seconds. "I like that. Uncle, will you do it?" He asked. The adult crossed his arms. "Of course! It will be the best." He said proudly.

Taehyung looked at his cousin. "By the way, where is your date? Don't tell me you didn't bring him with you." He pointed the youngest, frowning.

Yeonjun sighed. "He came with me, hyung." He said. "But mom stole him."

The others laughed. "Sounds like her." His father said as he patted his shoulder.

Mrs. Choi and Soobin came back just a little after the dinner, when Yeonjun was helping with placing the tables and the sitting plan.

"Hyung." Soobin said as he tapped Yeonjun's shoulder. Yeonjun turned to look at him immediately. He smiled when they met eyes. "You came? How was it?" He asked when he saw the happy expression on the younger's face.

Soobin nodded. "Your mother is so nice and funny." He said. Yeonjun smiled.

"Yeonjun-ah, where do you think-oh? Is this Soobin?" The two young men turned to the newcomer. Soobin greeted Jungkook with a bow.

"Soobin, this my cousin's fiance, Jungkook hyung." Yeonjun introduced them. Jungkook smiled to the tallest. "Nice to meet you, Soobin-ah."

"Do you need anything, hyung?" Yeonjun asked but he hoped there wasn't anything. He just wanted to spend his time with Soobin.

Jungkook opened his mouth to say something but someone else joined them. "Jungkookie, Jin hyung called me. Namjoon hyung's job finished early, they'll be here tomorrow night." Taehyung said and stopped when he saw a new face. Then he smiled widely. "This is Soobin, right?" He said as Soobin bowed.

"I'm gonna put a name tag on you." Yeonjun whispered but Soobin heard him, he giggled. "Nice to meet you, Taehyung hyung." He said with a smile on his face, ignoring Yeonjun.

Taehyung's smile got wider. "Nice to meet you too, I finally got the chance to see you." He said. Soobin looked at Yeonjun who laughed nervously. "We talked about you on the phone yesterday." Yeonjun said, while trying to explain to his cousin that he didn't tell the past two years to Soobin. Luckily, the older got the hint. He nodded. "Yes, I was wondering who made my cousin to want to stay, since yesterday." He added.

Yeonjun saw Jungkook was trying to hold back his laughter and Soobin seemed confused more than ever. Yeonjun tried to give him an assuring smile but he was nervous as hell and he knew it showed. He hoped Soobin wouldn't push it more.

"Yeonjun-ah!" And his father joined them, getting all the attention on him. Yeonjun couldn't decide if he should be happy or not.

"Oh my God." Soobin yelped when he saw the adult. "Is this Robert Choi?" Everyone was taken aback when they heard the adult's international name. Then Yeonjun remembered how much the younger liked baking.

Soobin bowed to the adult, his eyes were sparkling with excitement. He looked at Yeonjun and then the adult again, confusion came back. Yeonjun smiled. "This is my father." He explained and Soobin's eyes got wide. He bowed again, he seemed to be more nervous.

Yeonjun's father smiled to Soobin and reached out his hand. "I am very surprised to find someone who is among your ages knew me." He said as they shook hands.

"I am fond of your recipes, sir." Soobin said. Mr. Choi's eyes sparkled, it must've been the first time he got a compliment from a young person. "I am making Pan Dulce right now. Would you like to join me, Soobin-ah?" He asked.

Soobin nodded but he turned to Yeonjun, he seemed a little guilty. The older smiled at him, even though he wanted to be with Soobin, he wanted him to be happy and cosy while he was here. "It's okay, I have to help hyungs anyway." He said. Soobin smiled at him and headed to the kitchen with his father.

"First mom, now dad." Yeonjun complained. "Who's next?"

"Probably Jin hyung." Taehyung said as he held his cousin's shoulder. Yeonjun looked at him confused. "You said he studies law, right?"

Then it clicked. Kim Seokjin, the most successful lawyer on the industry.

Yeonjun sighed. "How many tables left?" He asked as he followed his cousin.

It was ten thirty when Yeonjun was finished with helping. Now, he was standing nervously in front of the younger's hotel room. Was he asleep?

Still, he knocked on the door. A few seconds later, Soobin opened the door. He smiled when he saw Yeonjun.

"Hi." Yeonjun said. "Are you tired?"

Soobin shook his head. "Do you want to come in, hyung?" He asked but Yeonjun shook his head, he wanted to take Soobin on a real date, their first date.

"I want to take you out, if that's okay." He said timidly.

Soobin stayed silent for a while, making Yeonjun more nervous. "Can you give me five minutes, hyung?" The younger said finally. Yeonjun let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding. He nodded. "Then I am waiting at the lobby, don't rush." He said.

When Soobin came to the lobby after two or three minutes, Yeonjun's breath hitched. He looked so handsome with his white turtleneck under a light green shirt and his black jeans. His hair was a little messy but it suited him so well, it was incredible how he managed to do it in that short time.

"You look awesome, Soobin-ah." He said when the younger stood next to him, mesmerized. Soobin smiled. "You too, hyung." He said but Yeonjun knew he didn't, he wore a simple black shirt with ripped jeans. He wished he had dressed better.

"Shall we go?" He asked. Soobin nodded and they left the hotel.

It was a cool spring night, there were some tourist and locals but it was canny. Yeonjun led the way.

They were walking close, his shoulders were touching each other time to time. Yeonjun wanted to hold his hand, so much that his finger tingled. It was worth to try, right?

He slowly grabbed the younger's hand and intertwined their fingers when he didn't pull his hand. Yeonjun's heart was beating so fast. He had always imagined how the younger's hand would feel in his but none of them could compare the real feeling. It was so soft and warm, Yeonjun couldn't even feel the cool breeze coming through his shirt. Neither of them spoke, they just walked in silence, hearts on their mouths, probably.

After a ten minutes walk they arrived to the Light Garden. Yeonjun always liked this place, especially at nights.

"Wow, hyung." Soobin said when they walked in. His eyes were sparkling under the colorful lights, there was a wide smile on his lips. "These are so beautiful!" He said as they roamed around while holding hands. He looked like a child while looking at the lighted statues, giggling with happiness every time they met eyes. So happy, so pure, so pretty... Yeonjun wanted to make this last forever.

After a while they sat down on the grass, it was almost midnight and Soobin seemed to be tired. He rested his head on Yeonjun's shoulder, holding his hand and playing with the older's fingers. Yeonjun thought he could get obsessed with this.

“Hyung.” Soobin whispered, voice low. He took a deep breath before going on. “I’m scared.”

Yeonjun frowned, he turned to look at the younger but he kept his head on his shoulder, not looking up. “Why, Soobin-ah?” He asked, worried.

“Because I’m falling for you, so hard.” Soobin answered, sleepy.

Yeonjun’s worry flew away as his stomach filled with butterflies. Yeonjun was a popular kid, he had heard so many confession from so many people. But none of them made him feel like this, because none of them was Soobin's.

Yeonjun could estimate how frightening for Soobin to love again. His heart had been broken in the worst way, his trust was spent on the wrong person. Of course he was still afraid of falling and experiencing the same pain.

But Yeonjun had promised him for something.

He caressed the younger’s soft hairs with his empty hand. He put a kiss on his head, knowing Soobin was already half asleep. He smelled his shampoo that caused his stomach do things.

“I’ll catch you, Soobin-ah.” He whispered while his lips were still on his head. “I won’t let you get hurt, promise.”

"Ah!" Yeonjun yelled as he sat down on the ground, he held his aching ankle. He hissed when the pain expanded his leg. His cousin and a few workers rushed to him.

Taehyung scrunched down, his eyes were full of worry. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"I sprained my ankle." Yeonjun answered, he was carrying a case of tomatoes to the kitchen and he forgot that one exact bump that had caused him fell since his childhood. "Sorry, hyung." He said, knowing he couldn't help them for a few days, when things were getting harder.

Taehyung slowly hit his shoulder. "What kind of gibberish you're talking about?" He said as he helped him get up, he told one of the workers to take the case to the kitchen.

Then Yeonjun saw Soobin rushed to where he was, a worried look on his face. They met eyes and Yeonjun forgot about his ache, he smiled to the younger as he jogged over to him. Yeonjun could feel his cousin smirking.

"Hyung, are you okay? I heard you tripped over." Soobin said, panting a little. Yeonjun found it endearing how he came here running just to check on him. He nodded. "It's not a thing I am not used to." He said with a little smile.

"Soobin-ah, please take Yeonjun to his room." Taehyung said. Soobin didn't even wait for another second to hold Yeonjun by his waist and assist him to stand. "Don't worry, Taehyung hyung." He said and turned to Yeonjun. "Lean on me, hyung. Don't put your weight on your foot." He said as they started to walk.

Yeonjun smiled foolishly as he let Soobin to lead him to his room. It was two in the afternoon, the weather was warm and the wedding preparations were going well.

Last night, Yeonjun had given a piggyback ride to sleeping Soobin to the hotel, tucking him carefully and making sure he was comfortable. Then he passed out in his room after a very tiring day, finally relaxing knowing that Soobin-the man he was in love with-liked him back. Thus he woke up at eleven, so much later than the breakfast time. However, Soobin had waited for him to have breakfast together, causing the butterflies flutter around in his stomach.

Yeonjun had so many plans for their date, starting today he was going to take Soobin so many places. Like the Camellia Hill, he knew the younger liked flowers. The waterfall Yeonjun liked since his childhood. The Mount Hallasan or Seongsan Ilchulbong, they would walk while enjoying the nice weather, hand in hand. The day before the wedding, when everyone had a rest, he was going to take Soobin to the beach, teach him to swim if he wanted. After the wedding, when he was taking Soobin home, he was going to tell everything to Soobin and ask him to be his boyfriend, finally after more than two years.

But now, he had to rest for two or three days because of that stupid bump. He wouldn't care about his sprained ankle if he didn't have a dance assignment after the break, he was willing to do everything for Soobin. But his professor would kill him if he went with a wrecked ankle.

Soobin opened the older's room and help him to lay down on his bed, he put a pillow under his ankle for elevation. Then he headed to the door. Yeonjun held his wrist quickly, he didn't want him to leave. He already felt like crap for not being able to take him on the dates like he had planned, he hoped they would spend the time together.

Soobin smiled to him and patted his hand. "I'm gonna bring treatment, hyung." He said and let go of his hand. Yeonjun sighed when he was gone. What he was going to do now?

Before he could drown in his thoughts Soobin came back with a pack of ice and bandages. "I saw auntie." He said as he sat on the bed, he put the ice on Yeonjun's ankle gently, trying not to harm him. "She said that you became so needy when you're hurt." He looked at the older, he giggled. Even Yeonjun wanted to object, his will melted when he heard that angelic sound.

"Then, are you going to take care of me?" Yeonjun asked. Soobin smiled as he nodded. "I'm sorry about yesterday, hyung. I wanted to help you." He said timidly.

Yeonjun shook his head as he smiled genuinely. "I just want you to be comfortable and happy, Soobin-ah." He said, thinking about the past two years, he hated seeing Soobin like that, unhappy, hurt, withdrawn.

Yeonjun’s smile faded when he remembered the reason.

“Soobin-ah.” Yeonjun said, voice getting serious. If he wanted to be with Soobin, be a part of his life, he had to be honest. He was going to wait until the week was over but the sooner the better, right?

“I don’t know if I tell you this right now but the day before wasn’t the first time I saw you.” He said, examining the younger’s face. He was looking down but Yeonjun knew he was listening. Soobin fixed the ice pack that was about to fall. “I am-was, actually, I was Hyunjin’s friend.” Yeonjun said just above a whisper.

Soobin’s expression stayed the same, his shoulders got tense a little. However he didn’t show any other discomfort. Yeonjun knew he couldn’t stop, he had tell everything.

So he did, starting from the first time he had seen him. He told him how he fell in love with him watching him afar. He told him how much he hated seeing him hurt but he couldn’t have courage to go to him.

“I wanted to come to you, I wanted to heal you. But you were healing yourself, you didn’t want anybody, you pushed them away. Thus I was scared, I was scared of losing you before I even had you. I couldn’t bare it, so I waited hopelessly for a miracle.” Yeonjun said, he held the younger’s hand, luckily he didn’t pull back.

“Soobin-ah, I know this is overwhelming for you but I have to say this.” He put his fingers to his chin, making him to look at him. Both of their eyes were sparkling with tears. Oh how Yeonjun wanted to kiss away his tears. “I love you so much, Choi Soobin.”

Soobin opened his mouth to say something but Yeonjun didn’t let him, he still had one thing to say.

“I can wait, I have waited for you for more than two years and I can wait for another thousand years. I know you like me too, but I won’t rush you for anything. Just please.” He said, looking deeply in the younger’s eyes. He could imagine how miserable he looked. “Just don’t push me away, Soobin-ah.”

Yeonjun didn’t expect Soobin to pull him into a hug. So when the younger wrapped his arms around him and buried his face ino his neck, he couldn’t perceive the moment. But his body acted faster than his brain, he held the younger just as thightly as him. He hoped this wasn’t one of his dreams.

“Thank you, Yeonjun hyung.” Soobin whispered. Yeonjun smiled as he pulled the taller body more, capturing him completely, not letting him go. He couldn't ask for more, being able to hold Soobin like that was enough for him. Their heartbeats were blending together, becoming one. He knew Soobin needed a little more time but it was okay. Soobin had found a place for him and it was enough.

The rest of the week passed fast, everyone was busy. Even though Yeonjun couldn't do physical work he did everything he could do while sitting and it was a lot, apparently. At least, Soobin was with him the whole time.

Well, most of the time.

Taehyung was right, Jin indeed stole Soobin. Not because Soobin wanted to learn tips, the adult loved him, they even exchanged numbers for further contact. Yeonjun was happy for Soobin, he could see the sparkles in his eyes.

When they were free, Soobin was always with Yeonjun. He took care of his injury with affection, helped him even though he didn't have to. Although Yeonjun was fine after two days he didn't say anything. He liked walking when Soobin held him by his waist.

They couldn't go on the dates that Yeonjun had in his mind. "We can always do them the next time." Soobin had said when Yeonjun told him about his plans. "We have all the time, hyung."

All the time, Yeonjun repeated in his head. We have it all.

Watching movies together wasn't bad either. Yeonjun would pick the movie while Soobin brought the snacks. They would sit on the bed, hands touching each other. They would talk a little while the movie was still on, then Soobin would fall asleep on Yeonjun's shoulder. Yeonjun would place his head on his lap, to make him more comfortable. He would caress his hair while watching him, the movie long forgotten. Soobin would get redder than a tomato in the mornings when he found himself in Yeonjun's arms, safe and sound.

The wedding day was here. Everything was perfect.

"Hi, Yeonjun hyung." Yeonjun turned around when he heard Soobin. This morning he couldn't see him because he had to go with his cousin to take the wedding rings.

"Hi, Soob-" Yeonjun's mouth stopped working when he saw Soobin. For the least, Yeonjun was stunned by the younger's beauty.

Soobin lowered his head as he scratched his neck. "Do I look weird? Auntie wanted to give me a make over and I couldn't say no." He said.

Yeonjun shook his head. "No, you don't look weird." He managed to say. "You look remarkable, Soobin-ah."

The tip of the younger's ear got red as he looked at the older. "You too, hyung. You look gorgeous." He said shyly.

"Wow, Huening, look at these lovebirds." They turned to the newcomers immediately, with red faces. Taehyun and Huening Kai were looking at them with big smiles on their faces. Soobin slowly hit Taehyun's shoulder.

It was already twelve thirty and the ceremony was at one o’clock. It was getting more crowded with every minute.

“Yeonjun hyung, this place is amazing.” Huening Kai said as he examined the garden, the sea could be seen behind the aisle.

“Thank you, Huening-ah. My parents will be so happy to hear that.” Yeonjun said.

“Hi, hyung!” Beomgyu said as he joined them. He stood next to Taehyun, holding his hand. Yeonjun smiled, he might have told Beomgyu that his crush wasn’t one sided.

Yeonjun saw Taehyun’s cheeks getting flushed. Soobin giggled. “Look at the one who called us lovebirds.” He said teasingly. Taehyun murmured a shut up.

”Yeonjun-ah!” Yeonjun turned his back and saw Jungkook who was waving at him behind the kitchen door.

He turned to his friends. “You go settle down, I think they need me for something. I’ll join you later.” He said and headed to kitchen as Soobin led the boys the their table.

Fifteen minutes later Yeonjun sat next to Soobin.

“Jungkook hyung lost his cuff links, but I found them.” He said when he saw the curious looks on him. He smiled at them. “Everything is fine, look, the ceremony is starting!” He whispered with excitement.

It was beautiful, watching his cousin to unite his life with the man he had loved since his childhood. Yeonjun was a close witness to their relationship, he knew what they had been through and they deserved this. They deserved to be happy.

”I wonder who’ll catch the bouquet.” Huening Kai whispered after the vows. Beomgyu whispered something but Yeonjun couldn’t understand what he said.

Then Jungkook rushed to their table. Instead of throwing the bouquet, he gave it to Soobin as he winked at Yeonjun. He rushed back to his, now, husband to start their first dance, leaving Yeonjun and Soobin with red faces, dumbfounded. The crowd cheered as Beomgyu yelled “I told you!” .

Yeonjun looked at Soobin, he smiled shyly as he took the bouquet from the younger’s weak grip. “S-sorry for that.” He said. Soobin shook his head, his lips moved as he was saying it was okay but Yeonjun didn’t hear anything.

“Taehyun-ah, let’s dance.” Beomgyu said as he took his boyfriend’s hand and led him to the dance floor where other couples were dancing.

Before everything went weirder Yeonjun stood up. “I’ll refill your drinks.” He said and rushed to the kitchen even though there was a waitress next to their table.

After he calmed his racing heart he grabbed some grape juice for them and headed back to the table.

He saw a few people next to Soobin, probably trying to take him to dance.

He met eyes with Soobin, he read the help in his eyes. He took his final steps and put down the glasses on the table.

He held Soobin’s shoulder as he smiled to the people. “Sorry ladies and gentlemen,” He said. “But he’s mine.” And he pulled Soobin to the dance floor.

When they started to dance Yeonjun realized what he had just said. “I, uhm, I-” He tried to speak but he didn’t know what to say. They might’ve confessed to each other and acted like a couple already but it wasn’t official, Yeonjun had never asked him to be his boyfriend and for that, he didn’t have the right to say what he had said.

“Sorry, Soobin-ah.” He said finally, exhaling.

Soobin shook his head as he smiled. “Hyung.” He said as their bodies swayed with the slow rhythm. “I wasn’t expecting to fall in love, I was scared. Because it hurted so much when I found out Hyunjin, the man I loved once, had cheated on me.”

Yeonjun lowered his head, he was aware of that but hearing it from Soobin wasn’t easy for him.

Soobin rested his forehead on the older’s, Yeonjun closed his eyes as he took a shaky breath. His heart was pounding. He was so happy that he didn’t care about anything else but Soobin.

“I love you, hyung.” Soobin whispered.

Yeonjun pulled back just enough to look at the younger. He smiled genuinely. “Does that mean you’ll be my boyfriend?” He asked, hopeful.

Soobin giggled as he nodded. “Yes, hyung. I’ll be yo-” Yeonjun couldn’t help himself, he pulled the younger into a kiss before he could finish his sentence.

A loud cheers was heard, Yeonjun picked Huening’s voice from the back. Soobin pulled back and hid his face into Yeonjun’s neck, Yeonjun heard him giggled.

“And about the thing you had said.” Soobin spoke while his face was still buried. “You don’t have to apologize for that.” He finally lifted his head and looked at Yeonjun, his cheeks were red.

“I’m yours, hyung.”

Yeonjun smiled widely as he nodded.

“You’re mine, Soobin-ah.”

Notes:

How was it? I hope I didn’t bore you.

By the way, I was thinking to start a new series. Every part would be like mini series, three or five chapters. And this series would have only the one-shots. What do you say?
