   Summary

   A mid-canon retelling of North and South (some BBC, some original Gaskell), taking up from the aftermath of Mrs. Hale's death. As Margaret processes her grief for her mother, Mr. Thornton's anguish only increases when he learns of a new charming mill-owner who befriends the Hale family. Through misunderstandings and angst, they finally learn to see eye to eye. This is a slow burn to their HEA, with plenty of kissing and fluff along the way.
