Summary
After the British military vessel he's aboard goes down off the coast of Denmark, Ellis Ashmead-Bartlett wakes in a Copenhagen hospital for veterans.
His slow and frustrating convalescence is brightened by the appearance of another patient, the mysterious, intense Jørgen, a freedom fighter, and man of few words.
