“Are – are you scared?” Seonghwa asked softly. Hongjoong nodded and Seonghwa swore that he looked even smaller in that moment. “You are safe here, whatever attacked you out there can’t hurt you,” Seonghwa said.
“Please,” Hongjoong pleaded as he reached out to tug on Seonghwa’s sleeve.
His lower lip trembled and his eyes shone with unshed tears. Seonghwa didn’t know how much of it was for show and how much of it was true, but he knew he wouldn’t sleep well if he left the fairy to sleep alone after all that he had been through. His bed was big enough for the both of them and it had been a while since he shared it with someone. All this could be an elaborate scheme of Hongjoong’s to get in bed with him, but he found that he didn’t really care at this point.
“If you keep your hands to yourself you are more than welcome in my bed,” Seonghwa said sternly.
“I’ll behave, I promise,” Hongjoong said with an impish grin.
