"Bakugou, behind you!" Shouto yelled, flames dancing across his arm.
"Don't fuckin' tell me what to do, Half-N-Half!" Katsuki yelled back, though he blasted next to the villain behind him. The villain had flinched and moved away from the place Katsuki blasted.
On their way back from the provisional license classes, Shouto and Katsuki found themselves ambushed by two villains who had been waiting for them. Now, you may be thinking, "Where's Present Mic or All Might?" well, that's the thing. Shouto and Katsuki had found a new route to walk back to the dorms and Shouto told Present Mic and All Might that they would be okay without them. Of course, they protested but Katsuki had simply yelled at them to leave them alone and pushed past Shouto towards the route. Shouto found himself quickly following.
That was, however a horrible mistake.
They found themselves fighting two powerful villains that they just couldn't shake off. They couldn't even properly fight, all they could do was self-defense since they didn't have their licenses. If they really did fight without a license, they'd be kicked from U.A. with no mercy.
So, here they were, regretting a decision that they had made 20 minutes ago while not fighting two villains that were taller than them and more buff.
Their muscles are burning, their breaths going short, body screaming for a break- even if it's a small one- but all they could do was evade every attack. This was starting to get infuriating. They were all running out of stamina and all of them just wanted to get this over with.
So, the villains immediately began cornering Shouto and Katsuki, and the two heroes-in-training had no choice but to back away.
Shouto and Katsuki were breathing heavily, lungs graciously taking in any air possible as they walked backward until their backs finally reached the back of a wall.
Well shit.
Falling.
He's falling.
Oh, he's falling!
Okay, okay, uh- maybe he can brace himself with his ice. That sounds like a good ide- oh shit, the ground is very close.
Wait- who's the person coming towards him? Is that Bakugou? No, Bakugou is shorter. And since when was Bakugou wearing his hero costume? He was in casual wear the last time Shouto checked.
Why is Bakugou coming towards him full speed?
"Wha-" Shouto yells, but his words are immediately choked off when he lands in some other crazy version of Bakugou.
Wait. Was Bakugou always this hot?
"What the fuck?" the crazy version of Bakugou says.
"Ah-" Shouto started, but cut himself off when he took note of the situation. "Oh, shit." he said, immediately jumping out of the strong arms holding him. He couldn't help but feel like he just broke 200 cosmic rules. And so, he ran.
"OI! GET BACK HERE, BRAT!"
"...and so basically, that's what happened." Shouto ended.
The crazy version of Bakugou's eyebrows furrowed and he let out a sigh, muttering something along the lines of "can never stay out of trouble" and rubs between his eyebrows. His brain was still processing the information that Shouto had just told him, so he started with an easy question. "Which road do you remember fighting on?"
"Ah, I believe it was behind an abandoned store on Namiki-dori. All the shops were closed for street cleaning, so Bakugou and I decided to take the shortcut and walk there." Shouto explained, contemplating on whether or not this was a dream. Unfortunately, it was not.
"Got it." the blonde said, clapping his hands together. "C'mon. We're going to my house."
"Eh? Why?" Shouto asked, tilting his head slightly
"If the media sees a younger Shouto standing here, talking to me they're going to go crazy," he explained. "C'mon. We needa find younger me, too but we'll go to my house first."
"Why are we going to your house first? Where's Bakugou?" Shouto asked.
"God, you're so annoying. Just follow me, damn it." the crimson-eyed boy groaned.
Shouto, a bit upset that even future Bakugou was rude sulkily followed him all the way to a house that he had never seen before.
When they made it inside, Shouto was flabbergasted to see a red and white haired man, the same as him, the same hairstyle, same eyes, taller than him, but had a necklace around his neck. The end of the necklace was tucked into his shirt so he couldn't fully see it, but that wasn't Shouto's biggest worry.
Shouto Todoroki met Shouto Todoroki.
Shouto doesn't know if he can stand on both his feet, because standing right in front of him was... him. Well, not exactly him but him. And sitting on the couch is his Bakugou. Shouto doesn't know if he can process all of this because his older self is so much more handsome than him and he's basically towering over him.
"So... there really is a younger me." the older Bakugou sighed, rubbing his temple.
"Don't stress yourself out too much. How do we get them home?" the older Shouto asked.
"Um- Bakugou- or uh- Bakugou-san?" Shouto asked, furrowing his brows. He was still trying to wrap his head around this entire situation.
"Just Bakugou-san is fine."
"Right, uh. Bakugou-san? Why is... older me here?" the young red-head asked, having to tilt his head up a little bit to properly look at the older red-head.
Bakugou-san and the older fire-user exchanged looks.
"No reason, Shouto... or... er... Shouto-kun?" older Shouto said, crossing his arms and furrowing his brows. "Shouto-kun... it's weird saying that out loud."
"Shut up, Half-N-Half. Alright, let's get this straight. To you, I'm Bakugou-san. The older version of you is Shouto-san. Got it?" Bakugou-san asked, using hand gestures. Todoroki nodded.
"This is fucking stupid! I'm gonna go fucking figure out how to do this shit myself." a voice from the couch said. Bakugou had gotten up and angrily walked over to where the three heroes were talking at the entrance.
"Katsuki, hold on," Bakugou-san said, grabbing his wrist. "We gotta stay together and make sure you aren't seen by anyone. This shit can easily spread everywhere."
"Shut up! I don't need any of your help." Bakugou growled, pushing Bakugou-san off him. "I can do this all myself."
"Shut the hell up, brat! You do fucking need help." Bakugou-san barked.
In front of Bakugou, stood Shouto-san. Shouto-san had to crouch his knees to be eye-level with the younger boy, but he did it anyway. "Bakugou-kun, can you do it for Shouto-kun over there?" Shouto-san asked, pointing to Todoroki. "You gotta get home so that you can k-mmph!" Shouto-san started, but Bakugou-san muffled his voice with the palm of his hand.
"Hah?" Bakugou gruffly growled, eyes darkening in anger.
"I think we need disguises," Todoroki said, jumping into the conversation. "My hair is easily spotted."
"Yeah. But wouldn't our disguises be too big on you guys?" Shouto-san asked.
"We could ask Yaoyorozu." Todoroki proposed. "Surely she'll help us."
"Right. Ponytail... I'll call her." Bakugou-san said, fishing his phone out of his pocket and stepping away for a second. Katsuki angrily huffed and snatched his seat on the couch again.
"So, what's your rank in the hero charts?" Todoroki asked, curiously.
"11th right now. It's pretty good, given that I'm 22." Shouto-san said.
"Really? Wow..." Todoroki said, eyes wide. "What's Bakugou-san's?"
"He's the 14th hero," Shouto-san said.
"14th hero? What the fuck? Am I useless in the future?" Bakugou asked, having overheard the conversation.
"No. 14th is really good," Shouto-san said.
"It's useless if I'm not number one," Bakugou growled, crossing his arms.
"Oi, I'm not useless, you little shit," Bakugou-san said, stomping back into the living room angrily.
"You're not number one. Useless as fuck." Bakugou said, glaring at Bakugou-san.
"Shut the hell up, you little fuck. I'm gonna beat you up until you can't see yourse-" Bakugou-san started, but Shouto-san had grabbed his arm.
"Calm down. When's Yaoyorozu coming?" Shouto-san asked, letting go of Bakugou-san's arm when he calmed down.
"In ten minutes," Bakugou-san answered. "In the meantime, we'll tell you what the fuck happened."
"It was a quirk accident, right?" Shouto-san asked.
"Yes, but no," Todoroki answered.
Shouto-san raised a brow. "Go on..."
"...and that's what happened," Todoroki said, mouth dry from explaining the story 3 times. The new outfit on him was a bit itchy, but he would manage.
"I see. So we just need to get you guys back to Namiki-dori, right?" Yaoyorozu asked.
"I don't know, but I think so. It's too easy, though..." Shouto-san said, thumb and index finger incasing his chin.
"Let's just try it out and if it doesn't work then we can go to Aizawa-san or Tsukauchi-san," Bakugou-san said.
"Alright. Good luck, you four. Call me if you need anything else. Kyouka and I are a bit busy, but I'll try my best." Yaoyorozu smiled, a fist clenched on her chest.
"It's okay, thanks Yaoyorozu," Shouto-san said, shooting her a small smile.
"It's no problem. See you two later," she said, grabbing her purse and walking out the door, closing it behind her.
"Now that that's settled, someone get the brat," Bakugou-san said, clapping his hands together.
"Katsuki, you do realize that the person you just called a brat is you, right?" Shouto-san asked, smiling cheekily.
"No."
"Yeah."
"No."
"Alright." Shouto-san sighed, "Shouto-kun, could you get Bakugou?"
"Yeah," Todoroki said, shortly. He was suspicious about the two, but it was probably just nothing.
They made it to Namiki-dori in one piece, avoiding large crowds as much as they could. As stealthily as they allowed themselves to, they sneaked behind a building and walked into an alleyway.
"This is the one," Todoroki said, breaking the focused silence lingering. The sounds of people talking loudly was everywhere, but it still felt eerily quiet.
Bakugou-san nodded. "Where's the exact place that you were when you were sent here?"
"Argh... fuck this shit! Right here!" Bakugou growled, poking his index finger into a cement wall.
"Wait, don't touch th-" Shouto-san started, but almost immediately, Bakugou's hand sunk into the wall.
"What the fu- OW!" Bakugou yelped as the wall began to sink his arm in even further. It began to slowly close in on his bones and Bakugou growled in pain.
"Bakugou!" Todoroki yelled, rushing forwards to him and grabbing his other arm to try and pull him back, but all that happened was his palms stuck to Bakugou's.
"Hold the fuck on!" Bakugou-san growled, pointing to the sign that stood a few feet away from them.
'REVEAL YOUR BIGGEST SECRET' is what the sign said in big, bold letters.
"Fuck you! I don't have any huge secrets!" Bakugou yelled but cried out in pain again when the wall crushed his arm with more strength again.
"Bakugou, just spit it out!" Todoroki said.
Everything was too hot. The pressure was suffocating, the wall slowly crushing his arm was excruciating, the yelps and screams from the three other people. Bakugou just wanted to close his eyes and sleep.
"Bakugou!" Todoroki yelled once again.
"I fucking love you! Okay?! There, I fucking said it!"
"Wha-" Todoroki started but was cut off when the wall pushed the both of them out.
Almost immediately, Bakugou ran away as quickly as he could.
"Where the fuck is he?" Bakugou-san sighed.
"I don't know. Give him some time, Katsuki." Shouto-san said, patting him on the shoulder.
"We need to get them back as quickly as we can. We don't fucking know how this stupid quirk works- if it even is a quirk- so we need to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible." Bakugou-san explains.
"I mean, wouldn't you know where he'd go? He's you." Shouto-san asks, tilting his head in question which makes Bakugou-san's heart flutter but he doesn't say anything.
"I don't fucking know. I never even understood myself when I was in high school." Bakugou-san complained, throwing his hands in the air.
"Um, I might know where he is," Todoroki said, awkwardly.
"Where?" Bakugou-san asks.
"Most likely at UA," Todoroki explains, shifting under the attention of the two adults.
"That does make sense. The tree he always hangs around, right?" Shouto-san asked.
"Yeah. Most likely." Todoroki said, monotonously.
"Let's go, then," Bakugou-san growls, annoyed.
"Bakugou!" Todoroki calls, rushing towards the blonde-haired boy.
Bakugou's head raises towards the voice and panic rushes through him, his eyes wide. On reflex, he gets up from the spot under the tree and bolts away, only for a cold hand to grab his, making him fall back into the ice-user, toppling them both to the ground.
"Fuck! Ouch." Bakugou growls.
"Bakugou, wait- Bakugou," Todoroki says, arms wrapping around his torso to stop him from getting up.
"Fucking- let go of me, Todoroki!" Bakugou barks, thrashing in his grip.
"Bakugou! Bakugou, wait! Bakugou- I like you too!" Todoroki yells.
Almost immediately, Bakugou's limbs go weak and he audibly gasps loudly.
"You mean that?" Bakugou asks, a light blush evident on his cheeks.
"Yeah, I do. I just... I thought you'd never like me back." Todoroki says, rubbing his neck with his palm.
A few loud claps pierce through the air, and Bakugou and Todoroki turn their heads to see Bakugou-san and Shouto-san clapping at them.
"Hey, were we ever that cute?" Shouto-san asks.
"Shut it. We're much cuter than those extras." Bakugou-san growls.
"Katsuki. The people you're calling extras are us." Shouto-san smiles.
"Don't care." Bakugou-san rolls his eyes.
"Eh? What do you mean cuter?" Todoroki asked.
"Should we tell them?" Shouto-san asks, and Bakugou-san just shrugs.
"We're engaged."
.
..
"WHAT?!"
