That Went Well

Summary:

After training with his dads, Aizawa and Yamada, for 10 months it's time for Izuku to take the UA Hero Course Entrance Exam.

Work Text:

"Wake up," Izuku heard a voice above him say. He ignored it and snuggled into his blanket more. The voice kept repeating those words over and over again, but Izuku just ignored it. "Okay, let's try this a different way," the voice said before disappearing. It was silent for a minute before freezing cold water was poured onto Izuku's head. Izuku jolted up.

"Hey!" Izuku whined as he saw Aizawa standing above him, holding a large glass that was empty.

"I've been trying to wake you up for the past five minutes. Breakfast is on the table. Come eat. We have to leave soon," Aizawa told him before walking out of the room.

"Why do we have to leave soon?" Izuku asked, walking after him, rubbing at his eyes as he yawned.

"Really?" Aizawa asked.

"What?" Midoiya asked, tilting his head to the side.

"You ready for the entrance exam, Izu?" Yamada asked as the two of them entered the dining room.

Izuku froze. "That's why we have to leave soon," he muttered, making the two laugh. He walked to the table and began eating.

"I have a present," Aizawa said as they began to finish eating.

"A present?" Midoriya asked.

"That's what I said," Aizawa said as he placed a gift bag on the table. Izuku just stared at it, not moving. "Problem Child, presents are normally opened, not stared at," Aizawa told him, making him blush.

Izuku grabbed the bag, opened it, pulled out the paper, and grabbed a dark green capture weapon. He stared at it in shock before looking up at Yamada and Aizawa, both smiling at him. "Is this?" he asked.

"Your own capture weapon? Yes. I cleared it with Nezu, so you can use it at the exam today," Aizawa told him. Izuku got out of his chair and ran over to Aizawa before hugging him. Aizawa hugged back, chuckling at his son.

"Thank you," Midoriya muttered.

"You're welcome," Aizawa told him, ruffling his hair, "now go get changed. We have to leave soon."

Izuku ran off to his room, smiling at the two of them.

Ten minutes later, he was still in his room. "You ready to go, Izu?" Yamada asked.

"One second," Izuku replied. A minute later, he walked out of his bedroom, smiling. He was wearing dark green workout pants, a white workout shirt with the words "hero costume" on it. He had his yellow backpack slung over one shoulder, his present Mic and Eraserhead keychains hanging off it, and he had his capture weapon wrapped around his neck.

"Look at my little hero," Yamada cooed, making Izuku blush.

"It looks good on you, kid," Aizawa said, making the boy smile even brighter.

"We all set?" Yamada asked.

"Yup!" Izuku replied. Aizawa nodded, grabbing his messenger bag and following the two out of the door.

Aizawa, Yamada, and Izuku arrived at UA. They got out of the car and walked into the school. As they entered the teacher's office, all of the heads in the room shot up. Midnight, Vlad King and Snipe were sitting at their desks, while Ectoplasm, Hound Dog, Power Loader, and Cementoss sat on the couches in the room.

"Hey there, Kid!" Snipe said, waving at Izuku

"Hi, snipe!" Midoriya replied, waving back.

"Nice scarf," Snipe said. Midoriya smiled at him as he played with one end of the capture weapon happily.

"Not a scarf," Aizawa muttered.

"There's my favorite nephew!" Midnight said, standing up and opening her arms for a hug.

"Hi, aunt Nemi," Izuku said as he walked over to her and hugged her.

"Aw, he finally gave it to you. Took him long enough," she said as she ended the hug and grabbed one end of his capture weapon smiling down at him.

"Are you ready?" Ectoplasm asked as he walked by and ruffling Izuku's hair.

"Yeah," Izuku replied, batting away Ectoplasm's hand, making him chuckle. Izuku walked over to the couches and sat down next to Hound Dog.

"Did you hear?" Midnight asked as Aizawa and Yamada walked over to their desks.

"Hear what?" Yamada asked excitedly.

"We get to meet the new staff member Nezu hired," Midnight told them.

"How fun," Aizawa replied, sounding as if he couldn't care less.

Aizawa heard a chuckle from the couches and turned and glared straight at Vlad King. Vlad King just raised his hands in surrender, saying, "I didn't even say anything."

"You laughed," Aizawa asked.

"Must you two always fight?" Hound Dog asked, "Do I need to set up a counseling session for the two of you to work out your issues?"

"Yes!" Izuku replied, laughing.

"No!" Aizawa and Vlad King replied, glaring at Izuku.

"When is the new listener coming? " Yamada asked.

"He should be here within the next 30 minutes," Nezu replied as he walked through the door. " Good Morning, Izuku. How are you today?" he asked, seeing his student sitting on the couch.

"Good morning Nezu. I'm doing good. A little nervous," Izuku replied.

"No being nervous allowed," Yamada said.

"You're going to do amazing," Ectoplasm told him as he walked back over to the couch sitting down across from Izuku.

"You are. There's nothing to be nervous about," Hound dog said.

"You guys are the best," Izuku said, with tears in his eyes as he smiled at them.

Another 30 minutes passed, with them all just hanging out in the teacher's lounge before Nezu's phone went off. He looked over to Izuku before saying, "Well, Izuku. Why don't you head down to the testing area? People should be arriving soon."

"Okay," Izuku said, getting up off the couch.

"Come here, Kid," Aizawa ordered. Izuku walked over to him, and when he was close enough, Aizawa hugged him. "You're going to do amazing, understand?"

"Understood, Dadzawa," Izuku replied, chuckling as he hugged back. They let go, and Izuku was wrapped in another hug.

"We're already so proud of you. So, just do your best, Izu," Yamada told him.

"Thanks, Yamadad," Izuku replied. They broke their hug, and Izuku walked over to the door. "Love you."

"You too, problem child," Aizawa replied.

"Love you too, Izu," Yamada said.

"Aw," Nemuri cooed.

"Shut up, Nemuri," Aizawa muttered, glaring at her.

She burst out laughing at him. "Isn't it a bit early for him to leave?" She asked as she looked at the time.

"Yes," Nezu replied.

"Then why make him?" Ectoplasm asked.

Nezu didn't reply. "Nezu?" Aizawa asked.

"You can't kill him," Nezu told Aizawa and Yamada.

"We're not going to kill our son!" Yamada said, outraged.

"Not Izuku. Our new staff member," Nezu told them.

"Nezu. Who did you hire?" Aizawa asked.

"I am here!" All Might said as he opened the door and stepped into the teacher's office. Everyone in the room turned to look at him.

"Nezu," Aizawa growled.

"All Might?" Power Loader asked.

"Hello, fellow coworkers!" All Might said.

"Nezu, a word, please," Aizawa said as he walked over to the corner of the office.

Nezu followed him, and when he got to the corner, he said, "I will explain later."

"You will explain now," Aizawa told him, "you know what he said to Izuku."

"I know. But..." Nezu said, trying to find the right words before sighing. "Just let me explain later, please, Aizawa."

"Fine," Aizawa growled, walking back over the Yamada. When he got close, Yamada grabbed his hand and squeezed it.

Nezu followed him back to the other teachers. "Before we begin with the exam, All Might here has something to tell you all. Now, this is a national secret, and I expect you all to keep this under wraps," Nezu said before turning to All Might and nodding. All Might transformed into his skinny form. Everyone looked at him with shock written over their faces.

"What?" Power Loader asked.

"Okay, was not expecting that," Snipe said.

"Um...." Ectoplasm whispered.

"You're skinny," Vlad King said.

"A few years ago, I was heavily injured. This is my true form. I can only stay in my hero form for about three hours a day," All Might explained.

"You think that if you teach, Japan will become less reliant on you, making the transition for your downfall easier," Aizawa said.

"Uh..." All Might muttered, not knowing how to reply to Aizawa's bluntness.

"That's Aizawa. He's always like that," Vlad King told him, earning him another glare from Aizawa.

Aizawa then turned to Yamada, who hadn't muttered a word since All Might entered the room. "Zashi. You okay there?" Aizawa asked

"I can't work with him. Sho, he hurt Izu," Yamada replied.

"I know. But we have to," Aizawa told him, squeezing his hand.

"You guys gonna be okay?" Midnight asked, walking up to Yamada and Aizawa.

"We'll be fine," Aizawa told her.

"I wanna punch him in the face," Yamada muttered.

"Me too, Hizashi, me too," Midnight said, glaring at the back of All Might's head.

"Well, I'll let you guys get acquainted. Ectoplasm exams start in one hour. Please make sure you are at your classrooms by that time. We want these exams to start on time," Nezu said.

"Of course, sir," Ectoplasm replied as Nezu walked out the door.

Izuku walked through the halls of UA until he reached the room that his written exam would be taken in. He smiled as he walked inside and found his seat, pulling out his newest hero analysis notebook and started writing about the hero fight he and Yamada had seen last night. He wrote in his book for another half hour before the first person walked into his room. He had purple hair that defied gravity and eyebags that were almost as bad as Aizawa's. The boy walked over to the desk to the right of Izuku's. "Hi," Izuku said. The boy nodded at him before sitting in his seat and slamming his head onto the desk. "Um, are you okay?" Izuku asked.

"Unless you have coffee, leave me alone," Hitoshi said.

"I don't have coffee right now, but I know where we can get some if you're up for an adventure," Izuku told him.

Hitoshi stared at him for a second before saying, "I will do anything for coffee. Let's go." The boys both stood up, and Izuku led Hitoshi through UA until they reached a storage closet. "We're at a storage closet," Hitoshi pointed out.

"Just open the door," Izuku told him, giggling. Hitoshi opened the door and gasped. The storage closet was full of coffee, mugs, and a coffee machine.

"Okay. What is this place?" Hitoshi asked.

"One of the UA teachers stashes his coffee here," Izuku explained.

"We won't get in trouble, right?" Hitoshi asked.

"No trouble. He won't even notice," Izuku replied. "Pick a mug and make some coffee. You can't take a hero exam if you're tired," he told him.

Hitoshi smiled at him. "Thanks," he said as he grabbed a cat mug and made himself a coffee. Izuku grabbed a mug with 'problem child' written on it and made himself a coffee. The two of them then walked back to the exam room in silence as they sipped at their coffee. Half of the desks were full when they got back to the room, and one of Ectoplasm's clones stood at the front of the room.

"Really, Izuku?" Ectoplasm asked as he saw the boy with his normal mug full of coffee.

"Yup," Izuku replied, making Ectoplasm chuckle and shake his head.

"Finish it before I hand out the exams. Understood you two?" Ectoplasm asked. The boys both nodded their heads and walked back to their seats, sitting back down.

15 minutes later, the room was full, and Ectoplasm began to explain how the written exam would go. They would be given three hours to complete the test. Ectoplasm walked around and handed out the test, and once everyone had the test, he started the timer, and they all began. Izuku took the test smiling the whole time. It was extremely easy, especially when compared to the hell test's Nezu made him take. The last question was his favorite. They were asked to choose their favorite hero and analyze them. Izuku didn't have just one favorite hero. He had two, his dads, Eraserhead and Present Mic. So, Izuku being Izuku, decided he would analyze both of them instead of just picking one. Halfway through his analysis, he ran out of paper and had to raise his hand. Ectoplasm just chuckled at him and brought over a large stack of paper, ruffling the kid's hair, as he walked away. 1 hour and a half after he started his exam Izuku was done. He walked up to Ectoplasm and handed him his exam.

"You can go wait in the theater, kid," Ectoplasm told him as he took his exam.

"Thanks," Midoriya said, walking back to his desk and grabbing his bag. He smiled at Hitoshi, who smiled back as he walked out of the room.

Izuku walked into the giant UA theater and found his seat.

'All alone,' he thought to himself, closing his eyes and leaning back in his seat.

"Already done, problem child?" Aizawa asked as he and his husband walked up to their son.

Midoriya jumped, falling out of his seat. "Why?" he whined as Aizawa chuckled at him. "You're mean," he said, getting off the ground and sitting back in his seat.

Aizawa just shook his head as he sat next to his son. Yamada sat on the other side of him, asking, "How was the exam?"

"It was awesome. There were a bunch of analysis questions. I had to get more paper from Ecto," Izuku said, smiling. "What are you guys doing here?"

"Getting away from the new staff member," Aizawa replied.

"Who is it?" Izuku asked excitedly.

Aizawa just sighed, running his hand through his hair. "I'll tell you later, okay? Just focus on your exam," he said.

"Okay. Can you tell me anything about the practical?" Izuku asked. Aizawa raised his eyebrows at the boy. "So still a no?" he asked.

"Still a no. You'll find out soon," Yamada told him, laughing as his son pouted.

"There you two are," Midnight said as she walked into the room, making Aizawa groan. "Hi there, Izuku. How was the written exam?"

"Awesome," Izuku replied as Midnight walked up to them.

"Nezu has an announcement for all of the teachers," Midnight told Aizawa.

Aizawa groaned as he got up. "Good luck, kid," he said.

"We love you, Izu," Yamada said as he, Aizawa, and Midnight walked out of the room.

Izuku sat alone for another 45 minutes before kids started entering the theater. An hour and a half after he had arrived, the theater was full, and Yamada walked out onto the stage.

"What's up, UA candidates? Thanks for tunin' into me, your school DJ. C'mon. And let me hear ya!" Yamada said.

"Yeah!" Izuku yelled, causing all of the other examinees in the room to turn and stare at him.

Yamada laughed. "All right, examinee 3901, that's the spirit. Now let's talk about how this practical exam is going to go down. You ready?" Yamada asked.

"Yeah!" Izuku yelled with about 100 other examinees.

Yamada's smile grew as he continued, "Like your application said, today you rockin' boys and girls will be out there conducting ten-minute mock battles in super-hip urban settings. Gird your loins, my friends. After I drop the mic here, you'll head to your specified battle center. Sound good?" Yamada explained as the screen behind him turned on and showed the different battle centers.

"Yeah!" about a quarter of the room yelled.

"Alright, let's check out your targets. There are three types of faux villains in every battle center. You'll earn points based on their level of difficulty, so better choose wisely. Your goal in this trial is to use your quirk to raise your score by shredding these faux villains like a mid-song guitar solo," Yamada said as the screen behind him showed a simulation of a mini Present Mic fighting off the robots that the students would be fighting.

While Yamada was explaining, Izuku began to mutter to himself, "Robots, of course, it has to be robots. There has to be an off switch. Probably in the back of the neck. I wonder if they're programmed not to fire on each other. Hopefully not, that would be an easy way to get points."

"But check it! Make sure you're keeping things heroic. Attacking other examinees is a UA no-no, got it?" Yamada asked.

"Yeah," the examinees yelled. This time about half of them joined in.

"Excuse me, sir, but I have a question," Iida said as he stood up from his seat.

"Hit me!" Yamada yelled.

"On the printout, you've listed four types of villains. Not three. With all respect, if this is an error on official UA materials, it is shameful. We are exemplary students. We expect the best from Japan's most notable school. A mistake such as this won't do. Also, you with the green hair, you've been muttering this entire time. It's distracting to all of those around you. If you can't take this seriously, leave," Iida said, as a spotlight shined on him.

"Hey, hey now, Examinee number 7111, there's no need to call him out in front of everyone. If he was as distracting as you think he is, I'm pretty sure someone would have stopped him earlier. And if we're talking about people being distracting, maybe we should talk about how you interrupted me to ask a question that I was about to answer," Yamada told him.

"I'm sorry, please continue," Iida said, bowing and sitting down embarrassed as the spotlight turned off.

"The fourth villain type is worth zero points. That guy's just an obstacle we'll be throwing in your way. There's one in every battle center. Think of it as a hurdle you should try to avoid. It's not that it can't be beaten, but there's... Kind of no point. I recommend my listeners try to ignore it and focus on the ones toppin' the charts," Yamada said, as the screen behind him showed the mini Present Mic figure running away from the zero-pointer. "Well, that's all I got for you today. I'll sign off with a little present. A sample of our school motto! As general, Napoleon Bonaparte once laid down. 'A true hero is one who overcomes life's misfortunes.' Mm-hm. Now that's a tasty soundbite. You ready to go beyond? Let's hear a plus ultra!"

"Plus Ultra!" almost all of the theater yelled.

"Good luck! Hope you practiced hitting more than just books," Yamada said, smiling at the kids before walking away.

'Just calm down, you've got this. Dadzawa's been training you for 10 months. You've got this,' Izuku thought as he played with the ends of his capture weapon, standing in front of his exam area. He looked around, watching all of the other examinees get ready for the exam area. As he looked over the other examinees, he spotted a head of purple gravity-defying hair. 'Hey, there's the boy I got coffee with. I should go wish him good luck!' Izuku thought as he began to walk towards Hitoshi. A hand on his shoulder stopped him from moving towards the boy, and Izuku turned around to see Iida.

"He looks like he's trying to focus on the trials ahead. What are you going to do? Distract him and ruing his chances to succeed?" Iida asked.

"No, o-of course not. I was j-just going to w-wish him good l-luck," Izuku stuttered.

Iida went to reply but was cut off by Yamada shouting, "Right, let's start!" Hearing those words, Izuku took off, running into the exam area. All of the other examinees stood there, not realizing that the exam had started. "What are you guys waiting for? Examinee 3901 has the right idea, Go, go go!" Mic yelled, making the examinees all jump and run after Izuku.

Izuku ran through the main street before running into an alley where a 2 pointer and a 1 pointer were. he wrapped his capture weapon around the 2-pointer and threw it into the 1-pointer, breaking both robots. '3 points,' he thought, smiling as he ran off towards more robots. He ran into another alley where there were 2 3-pointers.

"Target acquired, commencing attack," the two robots announced before firing. At the last second, Izuku wrapped his capture weapon around a fire escape above him and jumped out of the way of the attacks, causing the robots to hit each other, destroying them.

'9 points, now,' Izuku thought. He ran off again. He ran into an alley right as a 1-pointer was about to attack another examinee. Izuku wrapped the examinee in the capture weapon dragging them out of the way before wrapping the 1-pointer in his capture weapon and slamming it into the side of the alley.

"Are you o..." Midoriya began to ask before being cut off.

"What's your problem? That was my robot!" the examinee yelled at him before running off.

"I was just trying to help," Izuku muttered. He then ran off again, running into another alley where Hitoshi was sitting on the floor, his hand in his head. "Hey, purple! Are you okay?" Izuku asked.

"Purple?" Hitoshi asked.

"Your hair," Izuku explained nervously.

Hitoshi just stared at Izuku like he was crazy before shaking his head. "This exam is stupid. How am I supposed to defeat robots without a combative quirk?" he asked.

"Make them fire on each other," Midoriya said.

"Huh?" Hitoshi asked.

"Get in between two robots, and then when they attack duck, so they fire over you and at each other," Midoriya explained, as he started to run off again, waving at Hitoshi. He ran through the exam area, throwing robots into walls and each other with his capture weapon and making them fire on each other, gaining 23 more points, and yanking other examinees out the way of robots or falling rubble until the ground began to shake. "What's happening," he asked before looking around and seeing a giant 0-pointer. "Really, Nezu?" he asked, starting to run away from it before he heard a girl cry out in pain. Hitoshi heard it too and stopped, spotting Ochaco under a pile of rubble. Both boys ran towards her. "Purple!" Izuku cheered as he ran alongside the boy.

"Green. Please tell me you have a plan," Hitoshi said.

"Um..." Izuku replied.

"We're all going to die," Hitoshi said.

"I don't know if there's going to be enough time to get her out, so one of us should help her. The other should try to stop the 0-pointer," Izuku mumbled.

"You want to try and stop that?" Hitoshi asked, looking at Izuku like he was crazy.

"It'll be easy. There's probably a shutdown switch on the back of the neck," Izuku replied.

"You have to get up there first," Hitoshi told him.

"I got this, don't worry. Try to find a pole and lift the rubble of her and then get her out of the way," Midoriya said.

"You're insane, green!" Hitoshi yelled, grabbing a pole off the ground and running towards Ochaco as Izuku took off towards the 0-pointer. Hitoshi ran up to Ochaco. "Hey, need some help?" he asked.

"Please. I can't get this off me," Ochaco replied.

"Alright," Hitoshi said. He placed the pole underneath the rubble and leaned on the pole, raising the rubble enough that Ochaco could move her leg out.

"Thank you," Ochaco told him.

"Of course. Now let's go. Green said he could turn that thing off, but I don't want to chance it," Hitoshi said.

"Wait, someone's trying to..." Uraraka began to say before the 0-pointer switched off.

"Oh, he did it," Hitoshi said, sounding surprised.

"How's he planning on getting down?" Ochaco asked. Hitoshi and Uraraka stared at each other.

"Oh no. What if he falls?" Hitoshi asked worriedly.

"I can help," Uraraka replied, "my quirk's zero gravity."

"That's awesome," Hitoshi told her. "Come one, let's get closer just in case he does."

Izuku ran towards the 0-pointer. 'You've got this, Izuku,' he thought to himself. He used his capture weapon to swing up the side of the 0-pointer until he was at the back of its neck. He landed on the robot and found a button labeled, power down. 'Really, Nezu?' he thought as he pushed the button and the robot switched off. 'That wasn't too bad,' Izuku thought, 'now how do I get down?' He began to think of a way to get down safely when his foot slipped, and he began falling towards the ground. He closed his eyes as the ground approached until he felt himself being slapped. "Huh?" he asked.

"You're insane, green!" Hitoshi said.

"Purple!" Midoriya said happily as Ochaco released her quirk, and he fell the remaining foot to the ground.

Hitoshi and Ocahco collapsed to the ground next to him as they heard Yamada yell, "Times Up, Little Listeners!"

"So, I'd say that went well," Izuku said, smiling at Ochaco and Hitoshi.

"This is what you call well?" Hitoshi asked, staring at Izuku.

"Yup. We're all alive, aren't we?" Izuku asked.

"You just fell off a giant robot! She nearly got crushed by a giant robot!" Hitoshi told him.

"You guys are funny," Ochaco said, giggling.

Izuku smiled at her before his eyes went wide. "Are you okay? How's your leg? Sorry for not asking earlier."

"My leg's alright, thanks for asking. And thanks for coming to save me," Ochaco replied, smiling back at him.

"Thanks for coming to save me!" Izuku said.

"Oh, yeah. I'm Ochaco Uraraka, by the way," Ochaco said.

"Hitoshi Shinso, not purple," Hitoshi muttered.

"I'm Izuku Aizawa-Yamada, not green, but you guys can just call me Izuku," Izuku told them.

"Then you can call me Ochaco," Ochaco said.

Hitoshi sighed before muttering, "Hitoshi."

"Izuku!" the three heard Yamada yell, without his quirk, as he ran up to them.

"Hey, Yamadad," Izuku said, smiling at him.

"Present Mic!" Ochaco and Hitoshi whispered.

"Are you okay? I was so worried!" Yamada said as he hugged his son.

"I'm fine," Izuku said as he hugged back.

"Problem child," Aizawa's voice was heard from behind them. The four of them turned to see him leaning against the zero-pointers leg a few feet from them.

"Dadzawa," Izuku said, smiling. Aizawa just rolled his eyes and smiled back at him.

Yamada looked between the two of them before sighing and saying, "you guys are weird."

"And you're not?" Izuku asked.

"He's got a point," Aizawa said.

"Oh my gosh!" Hitoshi whispered, making everyone turn to face him. "You're Eraserhead!"

"Oh, yeah! Guys, these are my parents," he said before turning to look at his parents, "these are my friends, Hitoshi and Uraraka!"

"Your dad is Eraserhead," Hitoshi said.

"Yup!" Izuku told him.

Ochaco sat on her couch watching her favorite show when the doorbell rang. She got up and ran to the door finding a letter addressed to her from UA on her doorstep. She ran back to the couch and grabbed her phone, texting her friends.

Space Girl: Guys, I got it!

Space Girl: My letter's here!

Green Bunny: Open it!!!!

Green Bunny: Did you get in!!!!

Green Bunny: Ochaco!!!!

Green Bunny: I need to know!!!!

Purple Cat: Tell us so @Green Bunny can stop spamming my phone

Green Bunny: Hey! Don't @ me!!!!

Ochaco ripped open the letter and pulled out a sheet of paper.

Dear Ochaco Uraraka,

Your exam score will be included with Izuku Midoriya's. Please meet up with him to go over your scores together.

Sorry for any inconvenience,

Nezu

Principal of UA High School

She looked at the letter for another minute before grabbing her phone.

Space Girl: Uh...

Space Gurl: They said my score would be included with Izuku's.

Green Bunny: Huh?

Space Girl: Sent attachment

Purple Cat: That's weird.

Hitoshi sat on his bed, texting his best friends. The doorbell rang, and he groaned, getting up and walking to the door. He opened it, seeing a letter addressed to him from UA. He walked back to his room and sat back on his bed. He opened the envelope, reading the letter inside.

Dear Shinso Hitoshi,

Your exam score will be included with Izuku Midoriya's. Please meet up with him to go over your scores together.

Sorry for any inconvenience,

Nezu

Principal of UA High School

He grabbed his phone, sending a text to his friends.

Purple Cat: I got the same thing

Purple Cat: Sent attachment.

Green Bunny: Let me ask my dads if you guys can come over, cause my letter just arrived.

"Hey, Yamadad?" Izuku asked, standing in the doorway, with his UA letter in hand.

"What's up, little listener?" Yamada asked.

"Can my friends come over?" Izuku asked.

"Course they can," Yamada replied.

"Do we need to pick them up?" Aizawa asked.

"Uh... let me ask," Izuku said.

Green Bunny: They said you guys can come over as long as your parents are good with it

Green Bunny: Do you need a ride?

Space Girl: I do

Space Girl: Also, my parents are good

Purple Cat: Me too

"They both need rides," Izuku said, looking up from his phone.

"Okay, let's go then," Yamada said, grabbing his jacket and the car keys.

"Welcome to my house," Izuku said as the four of them walked into the house.

"Cats," Hitoshi said as he sat down, and the three cats walked up to him. "Loki, Simba, and Elsa, right?" he asked, pointing to the black cat, then the tabby cat, and then the white ragdoll kitten.

"Yup," Izuku replied, giggling.

"Why don't you guys go open the letter. The cats will still be here when you get back, Hitoshi," Aizawa said.

"Come on," Izuku said, walking to his room, his two friends following behind him. Once inside his room, they all sat down on the floor in a circle.

"Go on open it," Ochaco told him. Izuku opened the letter, and a disc fell out. "Uh, what?" she asked as the three of them stared at the disc.

"Press the button!" Yamada yelled from the living room. Izuku leaned forwards and pressed the button on the middle of the disk. A hologram popped up, scaring the three of them. Aizawa and Yamada were seen on the projector.

"Hey, little listeners!" Yamada said, waving.

"Why did I agree to this?" Aizawa asked.

"Ignore grumpy over here," Yamada told the kids, earning a glare from Aizawa.

"Your dad's are hilarious!" Uraraka said, giggling.

"Anyways, we decided to do your exam scores together. Saves time, ya dig?" Yamada asked.

"You all passed," Aizawa said.

"We passed?" Hitoshi asked.

"We all passed!" Uraraka cheered.

"We did it!" Izuku said, tackling his two friends in a hug.

"Sho! We're supposed to explain their scores before we tell them if they passed," Yamada told him.

"Oh, there's more," Hitoshi said.

"That takes too long. I'm getting coffee," Aizawa said, walking off the screen.

"He's so boring. I don't know why you two like him so much," Yamada stage whispered.

"You can't talk. You married me," Aizawa's voice was heard from off-screen.

Uraraka burst out laughing.

"Shut Up, Sho!" Yamada yelled, blushing. "Anyway, Ochaco Uraraka, you passed the written exam with a wonderful 87%. Good job, girl. In the practical exam, you got 28 villain points. Now, this isn't enough to pass, but we're a hero school, so how could we deny someone that embodies the spirit of a hero. We have these awesome things called rescue points. A panel of judges watches the exam and awards points for heroic acts beyond just fighting. And for saving Izuku Aizawa-Yamada, you've been given 40 rescue points, which brings your total to 68 points, tieing for 4th place. Congrats, Girl!" he said, smiling and giving her a thumbs up.

"Go, Ochaco!" Izuku cheered, tackling her into a hug.

"Good Job," Hitoshi told her, smiling at her.

"Thanks, guys," Ochaco replied, hugging Izuku back and smiling at Hitoshi.

He then turned to the side, yelling, "Sho, come back. You have to do Hitoshi's."

"Why?" Aizawa asked.

"He's your fan. You have to be nice to your fans," Yamada told him.

"Fine," Aizawa said, walking back into sight. "Hitoshi Shinso, you passed the written exam with a 91%."

"Good Job!" Yamada said.

"You got 12 villain points and 50 rescue points for assisting in the rescue of Ochaco Uraraka and Izuku Aizawa-Yamada, making your total 62 points," Aizawa told him, sipping his coffee.

"You got 7th place kiddo, good job," Yamada added.

Izuku and Ochaco looked at each other before smiling and tackling Hotoshi into a hug.

"Really?" Hitoshi asked.

"You did it, Hitoshi, you're gonna be a hero!" Izuku told him, making him smile.

"And now, my wonderful sweet Izu. You passed the written exam with a 100%," Yamada said.

"That's the first time to ever happen, kid," Aizawa added.

"And in the practical exam, you got 33 villain points, and for rescuing Ochaco Uraraka and saving many other examinees throughout the exam, you received 60 rescue points," Yamada told him.

"That makes your total 93 points. Congrats, kid, you got first place in both the written and the practical exam," Aizawa told him.

"Go Izuku," Uraraka cheered hugging Izuku.

"You're amazing," Hitoshi said, smiling at Izuku, who smiled back.

"Yeah! My baby's amazing," Yamada cheered.

"All three of you problem children will be in class 1-A. I'll be your homeroom teacher, don't make my life worse than it already is," Aizawa told them.

"Welcome to UA, you three," Yamada said as the projection shut off.

Izuku got up and ran out of his room and into the living room. Ochaco ran after him, while Hitoshi just walked after the two of them, sighing.

"We did it!" Izuku and Ochaco yelled as they ran into the room.

"What they said," Hitoshi muttered as he walked into the room, smiling at his friends.

"My baby and his friends are going to be heroes!" Yamada cheered as he walked over to Izuku and hugged him.
