Izuku slowly waked up, yawning as he glanced around the room. He started to panic as he didn't recognize the room he was in until a black cat meowed loudly in his face. "Loki?" Izuku asked as the events of the previous day came back to him. "Hi, Simba," he said as Simba tried to push Loki off of him. He laughed as he scratched the two cats on the head, sitting up. He got up, the two cats jumping off his bed, following him. He walked out of his room and saw Yamada dancing around the kitchen with his headphones on and Aizawa sitting at the dining room table, watching him with an amused smirk on his face.
"Good morning Izuku," Aizawa said as he finally spotted the boy.
"Morning," Izuku replied, yawning as he walked over, sitting down next to Aizawa.
"This is normal," Aizawa said, motioning towards Yamada, who still hadn't realized that Izuku was now in the room. Izuku burst out laughing.
"Izu!" Yamada cheered a couple of minutes later, having finally realized the boy was awake. "I hope you slept well, little listener. We have a busy day ahead of us."
"We do?' Izuku asked, confused.
"Yup! You don't have any room decorations, which is completely unacceptable. So, that means we have to go SHOPPIng," Yamada told him, accidentally activating his quirk only for Aizawa to erase it.
"Really?" Aizawa asked.
"Sorry. I'm just excited," Yamada apologized.
Aizawa rolled his eyes and told Izuku, "if you haven't noticed, Zashi enjoys shopping more than a normal person should."
"Now that's just rude," Yamada said before turning to Izuku, asking, "you like cinnamon rolls?"
"Yeah," Izuku replied as his eyes lit up.
Yamada laughed. "That's good to hear," he said as he took some cinnamon rolls out of the oven and dumped a load of icing on top of them. He brought them to the table, and the three of them ate their breakfast.
"Alright, Izuku, go get dressed, and then we'll head to the mall," Aizawa told him.
Izuku nodded, getting out of his seat and running back to his new room. He dug through his boxes of stuff, finding a pair of black shorts and a white shirt with the word "pants" on it. He walked out of his room, and Yamada took one look at him before bursting into laughter.
"What are you laughing at?" Aizawa asked, walking over to the two of them. He read Izuku's shirt before staring at Izuku in disbelief and saying, "your shirt says pants."
"Yup," Izuku said, giggling at Aizawa's expression.
"Kid, you're amazing," Yamada told him, ruffling his hair.
"You're both idiots," Aizawa said fondly, "Come on, let's go." He threw Yamada the keys before walking off to the car.
"Alright. We're here!" Yamada announced excitedly as he exited the car.
"You're really excited," Izuku said, giggling.
"Of course I am! Shopping is so much fun!" Yamada told him. "So, we need to get you some room decorations, a desk, new electronics, cause yours are old, and then... do we need anything else?"
"You don't have to replace my electronics. They're fine...." Izuku said.
"Kid. You're not going to convince him. He's already made up his mind," Aizawa told him.
"But..." Izuku tried to protest.
"It's fine, Izu. We have 5 jobs between us. We have enough money to spoil you," Yamada said.
"Are you sure?" Izuku asked, "I don't want to be a burden."
"You are not a burden, Kid," Aizawa told him.
"Sho's right. Now come on! We've got shopping to do!" Yamada said, walking towards the mall. Aizawa and Izuku caught up to him, and they walked into the mall together.
"Where to first?" Aizawa asked.
"Decorations," Yamada suggested.
"You gonna want some hero posters?" Aizawa asked.
"Yeah," Izuku replied, blushing lightly.
"Alrighty! To the hero store we go," Yamada announced. They walked over to a hero merch store and walked in. Izuku walked directly over to the wall of posters.
"There's none of you," Izuku said sadly, looking at Aizawa.
"I'm underground. You're never gonna find merch of me, kid," Aizawa told him, making him pout.
"Um... how many can I get?" Izuku asked.
"As many as you want," Yamada told him.
"I think more than ten would be a bit much," Aizawa replied.
"Okay, so ten," Izuku muttered, "definitely the two Present Mic ones, and the Midnight one, the Snipe one, Fat Gum, Miruko, Hawks, Ectoplasm, the Wild Wild Pussycats, and Ryukyu." He grabbed the posters and walked over to Yamada and Aizawa, smiling as he placed them into the cart.
"Hey Izu, look at what I found," Yamada said, smirking at Aizawa.
"Why do I feel like I'm not going to like this?" Aizawa asked.
Yamada laughed before holding up two Eraserhead keychains and a Present Mic keychain. Izuku grabbed one of the Eraserhead keychains and the Present Mic one, jumping up and down smiling.
"Can I get them, please, please, please?" he asked Aizawa.
"Fine," Aizawa said, making both Izuku and Yamada cheer. "Go grab anything else you want," Aizawa told him and watched as he walked off with Yamada. 10 minutes later, the two of them walked back with a cart full of hero figurines and plushies. "Ready to check out?" he asked them.
"Yup! We've got everything. Right, Izu?" Yamada asked. Izuku nodded his head, making the two adults chuckle. They checked out, walked to the car, and put the bags in the car, before walking back into the mall.
"Where to next?" Aizawa asked.
"Well, we need to get some office supplies, furniture, bedding, and electronics. Where do you wanna go, my lovely little listener?" Yamada asked Izuku.
"Um... furniture," Izuku said.
"Alrighty then, off to the furniture store we go," Yamada announced. They walked over to the furniture store and walked inside.
"What do we need?" Izuku asked.
"A desk, a chair, and this place might even have bedding," Yamada replied.
"You should probably pick a color scheme before we start shopping," Aizawa told Izuku.
"A color scheme? Black and Yellow," Izuku announced, "Present Mic and Eraserhead themed."
"You're so adorable," Yamada said as he hugged his son.
"Alright, black and yellow," Aizawa said, hiding his blushing face in his capture weapon.
They walked through the store and picked out a black desk, a yellow chair, a black bookcase, some black floating shelves, a set of black sheets, a black comforter, a yellow throw blanket, and some yellow throw pillows. They then walked back to their car, dropping off the bags and boxes that the desk and chair came in.
"Where to next. Office supplies or Electronics?" Aizawa asked.
"Office supplies," Izuku replied.
"Leaving the best for last, I see," Yamada said.
"You know, he's not gonna forget, no matter how far you push it back," Aizawa whispered to Izuku, ruffling his hair as they walked to the office supply store.
"Get whatever you want, Izu," Yamada told him.
"Make sure you get some more notebooks. I'm sure Nezu is gonna love that analysis of yours," Aizawa told him. Izuku smiled before walking through the store, dumping notebooks, pencils, and pens into the cart. He added a new bright yellow backpack into the cart, too, smiling at his dad's.
"Oh my gosh, Sho, he's just like you," Yamada muttered after he saw the color of Izuku's backpack, making Aizawa smirk. After checking out at that store, they dropped their bags off again and headed to the last store.
"Alrighty. You ready listeners?" Yamada asked.
"No," they both replied, making Yamada pout.
"Too bad. We need to get the little listener a new laptop, a new phone, and some new headphones," Yamada said, "no arguing, Izu. I want to do this for you. Please?"
"Okay," Izuku said, making Yamada smile.
20 minutes later, the three of them left the store with a new laptop, phone, and Present Mic brand headphones and earphones, smiling.
"Hey, Izu, do you mind if we stop at UA?" Yamada asked, "I left some papers that I promised my little listeners I would grade over the weekend."
Izuku stared at Yamada for a second before whispering, "I get to go to UA?"
Aizawa chuckled, replying, "Yes."
"Awesome," Izuku said. They drove for another 15 minutes before they arrived at the gates of UA. Yamada parked the car before both he and Aizawa got out of it.
"Are you going to sit in the car all day, kid?" Aizawa asked.
"I'm at UA," Izuku whispered.
"Get used to it. This is where you're training," Aizawa told him.
"What?" Izuku asked, shocked.
"Where did you think I was going to train you?" Aizawa asked.
"Uh... Not at UA!" Izuku said.
"Come on, you slowpokes. We've got places to be," Yamada yelled at them.
"We do?" Izuku asked, finally getting out of the car.
"We have one more stop after this. But like always, Zashi has no semblance of time as that place doesn't close any time soon," Aizawa replied. "Come on," he said, beginning to walk off. Izuku scrambled to catch up to him, making Aizawa chuckle.
"So this is a UA door. It's like a normal door but at UA," Yamada explained, teasing Izuku as the three reached the teacher's entrance to the building.
"You're being mean," Izuku told him, pouting, making the two adults laugh. The three of them walked into the building.
Upon reaching the teacher's lounge, Yamada opened the door, saying, "welcome to the UA teachers lounge."
"Hey, you two," Kayama said as she heard Yamada. She then looked up, wondering who Yamada was talking to, and saw Izuku, "That's a child," she said, pointing at him.
"Congratulations, Nemuri, you can recognize a child," Aizawa deadpanned.
"Shut up, Shota!" Kayama said, glaring at him. "Why do the two of you have a child?" she asked.
"Nemuri meet Izuku Aizawa-Yamada, our son," Aizawa said.
"Since when did you two have a son?" Snipe asked, walking into the room.
"What snipe said!" Kayama said.
"Yesterday," Yamada replied, smiling.
Snipe and Kayama froze, staring at Yamada in shock. "I will admit, that was not the answer I was expecting," Snipe said.
"Hi, Izuku. I'm Nemuri Kayama. You're dad's best friend. You can just call me aunty Nemi, though," Kayama said, waving at the boy from her seat.
"You're the R-Rated Hero: Midnight! And you're Snipe!" Midoriya said in excitement.
"You're so cute," Kayama cooed. "Why was I not notified that I have a nephew?" she asked, turning to glare at Aizawa again.
"You were just 'notified,'" Aizawa told her, causing her to glare at him harder.
"It just happened yesterday, Nemi. We were gonna tell you we just didn't want to overwhelm the little listener," Yamada explained, walking over to his desk. "Alright, I have my papers," Yamada said, grabbing a large stack of papers off his desk.
"Hey, I want more time to meet my nephew!" Midnight whined.
"Just come over for dinner next weekend," Aizawa told her as he walked out of the teacher's lounge. "Alright, we have to stop by Nezu's office before we leave," Aizawa announced as Izuku and Yamada followed him out of the teacher's lounge.
"Nezu as in the principle of UA?" Izuku asked.
"Yes," Aizawa replied.
"I get to meet the principal of UA," Izuku whispered.
"You're such a hero fanboy," Yamada teased, making him blush. They continued to walk towards Nezu's office.
"Um..." Izuku said as the door opened as they approached Nezu's office.
"That's normal," Aizawa told him.
"It gets less creepy, don't worry," Yamada said.
"Good Afternoon Aizawa, Yamada. I hope your weekend is going well," Nezu said as the three walked into his office. Nezu then turned to face Izuku. "And you must be Izuku."
"Yeah," Izuku said nervously, sitting down in between Aizawa and Yamada across from Nezu.
"There's no need to be nervous, Izuku," Nezu told him. "First things first, tea?" he asked.
"I'm good," Aizawa said. Yamada and Izuku agreed with him.
"Alright then, moving on to the second thing, here you go," Nezu said, handing Izuku an ID card. "This will let you into UA, as long as either Yamada or Aizawa are with you. Please don't lose it. We wouldn't want just anyone getting their hands on a UA ID card," he explained. "And the third thing, how do you like your current school?" he asked IZuku.
"Huh?" Izuku asked. The adults just stared at him. "Um, well, it's okay..." he started to say.
"The truth, Izuku," Aizawa said softly, cutting him off.
"Um... No one really likes me," Izuku finally said.
"How would you like it if I were to personally teach you for your last year of middle school?" Nezu asked.
"What?" Izuku asked, surprised and confused.
"I don't take kindly to any form of discrimination. And the discrimination that you have had to face so far in your life has been completely unacceptable. So, if you would like, instead of going back to school, you can come here with Aizawa and Yamada, and I can handle your final year of Junior High," Nezu explained.
"Can I? Really?" Izuku asked, turning to look at Aizawa and Yamada.
"Of course, Izu," Yamada told him.
"Yes, please," Izuku said, turning back to Nezu.
"Great. Are you good to start tomorrow, or would you like another day to get settled?" Nezu asked.
"I can start tomorrow," Izuku replied, excited.
"Alright, then. When you arrive tomorrow, just come up here, and we'll get started. Tomorrow will just consist of some placement tests just to see where you're at, and then we'll make a plan from then," Nezu told him. "Well, I'll let you guys enjoy the rest of your day, and I will see you tomorrow Izuku."
"Bye," Izuku said as he got up with his parents and left the room. As soon as the door closed, Izuku froze, whispering, "Nezu is going to teach me. This is totally a dream." Aizawa smirked, leaning over and pinching him on his arm. "Hey! What was that for?" Izuku asked.
"Just proving you weren't dreaming," Aizawa told him, chuckling.
"I'm going to get you back," Izuku said, glaring at him.
"I'm so scared," Aizawa said, ruffling the kid's hair.
Izuku stared out the window as they drove out of UA. They drove for another ten minutes before they pulled up to an animal shelter.
"We're at an animal shelter," Izuku said, confused.
Yamada and Aizawa turned to each other, smirking before turning to face Izuku. "I thought about it," Yamada said.
"Huh?" Midoriya asked, confused. The two adults kept staring at him for another minute until a look of understanding crossed Izuku's face. "Wait. Are we getting another cat?" Izuku asked excitedly.
"Yes," Aizawa replied as he got out of the car. He chuckled as he watched Izuku race to get out of the car, tripping over his feet. Aizawa sent out his capture weapon, wrapping Izuku in it before he hit the ground. He helped him right himself before calling back his capture weapon. "Be careful, kid," he said.
"Sorry," Izuku said, blushing, "I'm just really excited."
"That's very obvious little listener," Yamada told him, chuckling as he locked the car. The three of them walked up to the shelter and went inside.
"Hi, welcome to the sunny side animal shelter," Suzuki, the worker at the front desk said, before looking up and recognizing Aizawa. "You got another one for us, Aizawa?" she asked.
"Actually, we were planning on adopting one today, " Aizawa told her.
"That's awesome! I'm pretty sure you know your way around here, so go look around and let me know when you've found the one you want, and we'll get the paperwork filled out," she said.
"Thanks, Suzuki," Aizawa said. The three of them walked over to a door with a sign that read "cats" above it. They walked into the room, and Midoriya gasped as he looked around, seeing cages of cats lining the walls.
"There's so many of them," Izuku whispered, making Aizawa and Yamada chuckle.
"Just walk around and see if any of them feel like the one," Aizawa told him.
"Is that how you found Loki and Simba?" Izuku asked.
"Yup," Yamada replied, smiling at him. Izuku smiled back and began to walk around the room, stopping at all of the cages. After about ten minutes, he walked up to a cage with a white ragdoll kitten with a scar over its left eye.
"Hi," Izuku whispered. The kitten looked up at him before meowing. "You're adorable," Izuku said, holding his hand up to the cage so the kitten could sniff it. The kitten walked up to Izuku's hand and sniffed it before licking it and meowing happily. Izuku turned to look at Yamada and Aizawa, smiling.
"I think someone found his cat," Aizawa said, making Izuku nod his head excitedly. "I'll go get Suzuki, so she can take 'em out of the cage for you." He walked out of the room and returned a minute later with Suzuki.
"So, which cat did you decide on?" Suzuki asked.
"This one," Izuku replied, staring at the kitten, who just stared back.
"She is a cutie, isn't she?" Suzuki asked, walking up to the cage and unlocking it. "See if she'll let you pet her."
Izuku reached out a hand towards the kitten. The kitten meowed happily and pushed its head into Izuku's hand. He chuckled, running his hand through her fur. "Is she okay?" he asked, "her fur is ice cold."
"She's fine. That's just her quirk. She's the only quirked animal we have here."
"She has a quirk?"
"Yeah. We call it cold. She's practically immune to the cold. She could stand outside during a snowstorm and be perfectly fine. The only thing is it makes her feel ice cold. We found her last month. Her family most likely abandoned her because of her quirk. Some people are just cruel," Suzuki told him.
"Can we keep her, please?" Izuku asked, turning to look at Aizawa and Yamada with puppy dog eyes.
"Of course we can," Yamada told him.
"There is one other thing you should know. She's completely blind in her left eye. It shouldn't be that big of a problem seeing as her eyesight in her right eye is perfect, but that does put some people off," Suzuki told them.
"I still want her," Izuku said.
"That's good to hear. We can get started on the paperwork if you're ready. It shouldn't take too long as there are records of you guys adopting two cats and Aizawa bringing us some strays," Suzuki informed them.
Izuku picked up the kitten, who purred softly, making him giggle. "What do you think of the name Elsa?" he asked her. She meowed happily in response. "Elsa it is," He said, laughing.
"I like the Disney theme you went with there, Izuku," Yamada said, sticking his tongue out at Aizawa.
"You're both terrible," Aizawa said, making them laugh. They followed Suzuki out of the cat room and into an office.
Thirty minutes later, they left the shelter, Izuku carrying Elsa in his arms smiling.
