Sokka prays to Tui and La, Oma and Shu, any spirit that will listen that he is just imagining all of this, that this is just a coincidence. It has to be.
“I’m Zuko,” the boy repeats, and then goes on in a voice that is smooth with repetition, “son of Ursa and Prince Ozai, grandson of Fire Lord Azulon. Prince of the Fire Nation.”
Silence. Sokka wants to laugh, or cry, or scream. He settles for pinching himself, hard. The scene in front of him doesn’t change. So much for his theory of long lost relative.
Or: The Gaang moves on to the Beach House and (temporarily) adds not just one, but two Zukos to their team. No, Sokka doesn’t really know how this happened, either.
