Chapter Text
Wonder Woman, Diana Prince, and Superman, Clark Kent, had a child. Sure Clark was happy with Lois, but what happened with Diana that one night was something that no one talked about.
The two metahumans were together one night. All that happened that one night was enough to make a child. It was a year after Jonatan Samuel Kent was born. When Lois learned about it, she was mad, but she eventually accepted it. Clark and Diana were shocked about what had happened that night and what it led to, but they lived with it. Jon, when he grew up, was happy that he had a little sister.
Marinette Prince-Kent was the child of the two metas. She had inherited flight, invulnerability, superhuman strength, and superhuman speed from both her parents. She had stayed with the two, alternating between houses, for the first five years of her life. She loved her life. She always had something to do and she had an older brother. Since they were close in age, there were hardly any disagreements against the two toddlers.
When she turned six, Diana decided to send her across the world. The new six year old had shown that she was interested in fashion. What was better than to send her to the city of fashion? She was sent to live with a trusting and loving couple that lived in Paris. The couple had gotten her parents' phone numbers, that way they could stay in contact with their baby while she got to live somewhere where her dream thrived.
The couple she lived with, bakers, didn't know about her powers. Her powers didn't show up until something happened that made her show them. At the age of ten, Marinette had discovered that she had flight after she had fallen from something. She expected the fall and then being hurt, but she was surprised to be in the air. When she told her biological family, Diana and Jon had come to help her master her flight, that way she wouldn't just randomly be flying in public. They had disguised it as coming to see their daughter/sister. It worked perfectly.
She discovered her superhuman strength when she was eleven. Her and her friend were bringing bags of flour to her parents. The only problem with it was that they were pretty huge bags. Her friend, Kim, who was one of the strongest people she had known, could barely lift the bag up. When Marinette went to go pick up another bag, she found that it was very light for her. She tried to lift it with one hand while Kim was struggling, and she could, very easily. She was also smart. So when someone was looking, she made it look like she was struggling.
When she was in a race at around eleven, she had realized that she was losing. Instead of giving up, she had pushed through. She, in the end, had beaten everyone. One second she was in the back, the other, she was in the front. She swore that day she would stick to walking and light jogging.
Marinette wasn't really clumsy. Sometimes, she couldn't control her flying. So when that happened, she flew a bit off the ground. She would put herself back quickly, but it was too quick, so she usually fell down. So she had earned the title of being clumsy.
Now how she discovered her invulnerability. To start out with, she had near invulnerability. Even if she wasn't hurt by most things, she could still get hurt. But when she became Ladybug, she became fully invulnerable. Being the true wielder of creation was the reason for this. Tikki's powers had helped her powers. Along with this, she had also discovered her last power. The healing factor.
Since Tikki's powers had helped heal destruction caused, it had somehow got inherited to Marinette. That, and her parent's healing factor, made it activate.
So yeah, she wasn't a normal girl at all. It was a surprise that her host family didn't know about her powers.
Marinette did spend the occasional summer with her biological family. Most breaks, Christmas and Thanksgiving, were also spent with them. During the time that she was with them those days, she annoyed Jon about how she had cooler powers than him. He would argue with her, but they both knew in the end she was right. Marinette had reintroduced her mother with Tikki. Apparently her grandmother was a former wielder. She had introduced her other members of the family. They all loved each other. Marinette, during her trips there, was always reminded that if she needed help with her situation in Paris, she could always tell them and they would go and bring the rest of the Justice League to help out. Her reaction was always a giggle and a thanks.
While she was in school, she had a best friend. Her best friend went on and on about how her favorite reporter was Lois Lane and how she wanted to meet and be like her. Marinette would always laugh and shake her head. Her best friend had no idea that Lois was her step-mom and that she was actually related to Clark Kent. No one in Paris did. She had her name changed when she moved in with the Dupain-Chengs.
She had a crush. His name was Adrien Agreste. He was pretty popular and famous there in Paris. It was mostly because he was a model. He also was the son of Gabriel Agreste. She liked him. She knew he wasn't perfect. She wasn't either. She let her feelings decide what she should do about him. She had the normal crush. When he was around, she let her flight get out of control, so she tripped more. Her face was always red, and she was stuttering her words. She didn't obsess with him. That was just plain creepy. She would be weirded and creeped out if someone did that with her other persona.
She had her friends in her class. And her enemy. Nino and Luka who would make music and she would usually be one of the firsts to hear it. Juleka, who went to her whenever she was insecure and whenever she wanted to hang out with someone. Nathaniel and Alix, who hung out with her whenever they wanted to make art. Kim, who was her childhood best friend and would just want to hang just because. Mylene and Ivan, who would always thank her for being one of the reasons they were together. Rose, who would want to hang out with one of the nicest people in their class. Max, whenever he wanted someone to play a game with. Sabrina, who secretly hung out with the girl whenever Chloe was being too high and mighty. And there was Chloe. The girl who somehow knew exactly who she was. She would bully her just because of it. Even if she never said exactly who she was, she would say, 'you know exactly why.' Whenever they were alone, she would never say Dupain-Cheng. She didn't even say the girl's name. Just tried to insult her in every way she could think of.
Now the key word in everything is the word, had. She had a best friend. She had a crush. She had friends. Now, all she had was Kagami, her bio family, and her friends that were well known. She barely had her host family. Slowly, they were being fed lies by her classmates and former friends outside the class.
The reason for all of this was because of one person, Lila Rossi. Rossi had lied her way to the top. Told ridiculous things to her former friends, and they believed every single thing that came out of her mouth. They took in her words like it was water. It just hurt her to see that her friends, at the time, had fallen for lies that could hugely affect their futures. She had tried and tried, but she had failed. Everyone had hated her. Lila was manipulating everyone she knew and was getting away with it. Chloe was still bullying her for who she was. It was overwhelming.
During these times, she would go out as Ladybug. She could use her powers without having to hide them. She could fly and feel the wind that blows in her face. She had ran around for the fun of it, since she had nothing better to do.
When she wasn't doing that, she was talking to Diana or the Kents. She was hardly seen outside of school. And if she was, she was always out with Kagami. Her or another guy that looked her age.
Anyone who had seen her, always did something. Adrien, Luka, and Nino would give her the disappointed looks. Luka had stopped reading people's melodies, wanting to know them before judging their melodies. Adrien was oblivious to everything, and Nino just thought that if everyone thought it, it couldn't have been wrong. Everyone else in her class would always hit her in some way. It was a good thing that they couldn't hurt her, but it hurt her that these people that she used to love would do these things. Lila just watched from the sidelines and smirked. Chloe would just make fun of her for the whole thing. It was exhausting.
But, whenever those things weren't happening. She was pursuing her dreams. She would create clothing and give them to her friends. Well famous ones that is. She had made a website for her clothing. Diana, the Kents, Tsurigis, Jagged, and Clara were the first people to wear and make comments about them. That is what had people talking about her clothing and how great it was. It got so big that Lila and Chloe would lie about being close to them. Marinette felt pride that the two people that she hated, and vice versa, would want to be friends with her, even if they didn't actually know it was her.
During these times, her business grew. Marinette had also grown out of Paris. She had asked if she could return back, and she had gotten a yes. Her caretakers because they wanted her bio parents to help get the girl back to how she was when they first got her. Her bio parents because they had heard what had happened and they wanted her out of there as soon as possible.
She packed and left. She only told very few people. It wasn't like anyone cared about her. She was sent to live with Clark and Lois, Diana coming to visit and enjoy time with her daughter.
So during her time there, she hung out with her family, and she could tell you that it was so much better than communicating over a screen. Some days, she would spend those times hanging out with them. The others were the days she was doing her work for her business. Over time, her business grew. Before she hit twenty, she was already a millionaire.
When she hit twenty, she moved out and went somewhere that wasn't that far away. She had moved to Gotham. Considering she lived halfway across the globe from them, it didn't seem that far to the girl.
She had gotten a place to stay in the nice part of Gotham. She continued her business. One day, she decided she wanted to do something she had never done before. It was something that just popped in her head. She was looking over some businesses nearby and saw some place she wanted to try. She was going to go big and choose one of the most successful places there. She emailed someone from Wayne Enterprises and waited. She didn't expect to hear from them, but she was glad she did it.
But a month later, she got a response back. Obviously forgetting about it, she opened it and was shocked. She had actually gotten them to accept it. Not questioning how, she was ready to go to a meeting to discuss the things for their partnership.
Now this. This was just the beginning. There was much more to this partnership than either of the two sides thought would happen.
