“Good morning,” Rhianna greets, eating a bowl of what seemed to be dissolved Weetabix with Niki’s almond milk.
Niki stares at Rhianna, who is currently scrolling through her phone.
“It’s twenty-three hundred. And is that my milk? With Weetabix?”
Rhianna raises her eyebrows. “Feeling feisty today, Nihachu?”
“Why?” Niki asks, moving to grab a glass for water from the cabinet closest to her before realising that it was the wrong cabinet. She walks over to the correct cabinet and grabs a glass from there.
“Speaking of feisty,” Rhianna replies, “Your Minecraft girlfriend posted a new photo on Twitter.”
Rhianna does a little bit of scrolling before presumably landing on the post that she was searching for. She thrusts her phone towards Niki.
“Here,” she says.
Niki’s eyes glaze over the picture. Puffy is pretty - she’s always pretty, no surprise there. What shocks her is that Puffy is wearing a suit, and her eyes widen on seeing it. Puffy looks really nice in a suit. Like, really nice in a suit. Like ‘Lucy Liu playing Joan in Elementary ’ nice. The way she has her hands tucked into the pockets of her hands is casual but confident, and she has this swagger to her like she’s unshakeable.
“What’s the caption?” Niki asks.
“‘Is this what taking prom photos feels like?’” Rhianna reads after retracting her phone from Niki.
“Oh,” Niki responds, taking tiny sips out of her glass of water.
“That’s all?” Rhianna prods.
“That’s all,” Niki affirms.
Rhianna scrolls a little bit more on her phone. “Minx asked for her hand in marriage.”
“Mhm?” Niki vocalises while drinking a sip of water.
“And… it looks like Puffy said yes,” Rhianna continues, “All caps, with the repetition of ‘s’ several times.”
Niki chokes on her water a little bit.
“Okay?” Niki responds, trying to play it off, “Why are you telling me this?”
Rhianna shrugs. “Thought you’d like to know.”
Niki stares back through the glass of water.
“She looks hot as fuck, by the way,” Rhianna continues, “Might steal your girl if you’re not careful.”
“Shut up, ” Niki retorts, then bursts into laughter. Rhianna starts laughing too and soon their laughter is filling the kitchen, sure to get them a noise complaint.
Two hours later, Niki navigates to Minx's Twitter page on her phone browser.
Minx has a new tweet that isn’t even a minute old yet, so Niki takes a look at it.

Well, Niki can't argue with that. Especially with the picture of Puffy in the suit earlier… it’s definitely a good day to like women.
She replies with the picture of her in the fuckboy pose - the one that makes her think of somebody saying "hey babygirl," and makes her subsequently giggle because it’s so ridiculous.
Minx responds a few minutes later with a black cat with wide eyes. It could be Sylum, one of Minx’s cats, but Niki isn’t quite sure. Niki likes the photo and doesn’t think about the interaction too much after that.

“What should I name the stream?” Niki asks.
“It doesn’t really matter,” Minx replies, “Just make sure it has our names in it. You have to get that clout. Also, I’m pretty sure this is lore now.”
“Lore?” Puffy questions, reflecting Niki’s sentiment.
“Lore,” Minx responds somberly, “You might want that in the stream title.”
Niki types in “Apparent Lore with JustaMinx and CaptainPuffy!” as her stream title, then edits the title to make it more casual. “Apparent Lore with Minx and Puffy!” The MEE6 bot sends out a ping in her server, making the total pings in her server to be eighteen pings that she hasn’t read quite yet.
Niki checks in her Minecraft tab to see what’s going on, just in case she gets attacked by a mob. She isn’t even in a world, though, so it’s just pointless.
“Where the fuck am I?” Minx says out of the blue, “Where the fuck is this?”
“We haven’t created a world yet?” Puffy asks, sounding just as confused as Niki feels.
“Log onto the Dream SMP,” Minx declares.
Niki does as Minx suggests and logs on. She spawns in her underground library, meaning it will take her a little while to travel to spawn. Puffy is taking Minx on a tour of the Greater Dream SMP, so she’s occupied in the meantime.
After Puffy’s tour and Niki’s arrival to the spawn area, Minx interjects, “So, I heard there was a therapist’s office?”
“There is, yes,” Puffy answers, “I didn’t think you’d like to see the inside of it, but d’ya want to see it now?”
“Sure,” Minx replies, following behind Puffy into the therapy office. Niki shuffles behind them in a single-file line.
Minx walks over the “table” and crouches on top of the stair (that acts as a chair) on the therapist’s side. Puffy and Minx “sit” on the other side.
“This is an intervention,” Minx declares, “Officially. This is an official intervention.”
“For what, exactly?” Niki asks.
“Well,” Minx responds deviously, “There’s the whole relationship thing. It’s kind of fallen to the shit, which is not ideal. You guys were flirting with me, too. Not sure if that’s in character, but you know. You guys need to build a stronger relationship with each other and get together again. The entire world is resting in your guys’ hands.”
There was a beat of silence. They had all discussed this beforehand. Niki had never thought that this would be the way that the two would meet again in canon; then again, she hadn’t put much thought into that before going away to her underground library and plotting to kill Tommy.
“This is a lot to hear,” Puffy replies, “I know that Niki’s tried to reach out, but I had problems with the egg, and I couldn’t respond.”
“You could have just said that,” Niki says softly, “I thought you hated me.”
“I could never hate you,” Puffy assures, “I love you. It’s just - I’ve been trying to fill up all of the creeper holes, trying to fill all of the gaps and keep everyone safe that I didn’t even notice that you weren’t safe. And I’m sorry.”
“You’re just one person,” Niki notes, “You don’t have to save the world. You’re doing more than enough. I was the coward, leaving and trying to kill Tommy. I’m healing now with the S- with a group of friends.”
Minx claps a few times in delight. “Great relationship building! By communicating, you guys are building trust up within each other, and you can make the points that you wish to make even if you haven’t communicated in a while.”
“I don’t know when I’m going to see you again,” Puffy tells Niki worriedly, “It might be weeks or even months. That’s a long time to leave you alone.”
“Do you have any friends that could help you?” Niki questions, “I know that my friends would help me if I had that much going on.”
“I used to,” comes Puffy’s bitter reply.
“Dramatic,” Minx comments from the sidelines, “That really sucks. Maybe you guys can pool your problems together and try to solve them that way?”
Puffy shakes her head. “It won’t work that way for the egg. The more people there are, the worse off everybody will be.”
“We can still try,” Niki suggests hopefully, “And trust me. There’s nothing a stupid little egg could offer that would be better than you.”
“Aww,” Minx coos, “How cute!”
“Thank you, Minx,” Niki says after the streams are done, and Puffy has left the voice chat, “I've gotten so much content today. ”
They still have their facecams on in Discord, but it is a casual affair now. Minx is wiping at her face with a makeup wipe, attempting to get the stubborn mascara off of her eyelashes.
“Are you kidding me?" Minx asks, "Is that all I am to you? Content? I'm hurt. Betrayed. I will never recover from this. You've broken me, Niki.”
“Have you tried using that drama persona for monetization purposes?” Niki jokes.
Minx holds her head in her hands. “I begged like a little fucking dog to get into this damn SMP and this is what I get?”
“I'm so sorry, Minx. You are worth far more than content to me,” Niki apologizes.
"Thank you. I was only tired of this arc not getting any resolution honestly, so I used my high position to help,” Minx admits.
Niki laughs. “You have enough spite to curse an entire pantheon and win.”
“Damn right!” Minx agrees.
“Did you say that you begged like a little dog ?” Niki questions, laughing a little bit.
Minx pouts a little. “I’ll send the group chat the screenshots.”

Niki looks at the computer screen with a wide smile on her face. Sure, her friends are silly. But they’re the ones she’s got and she’s grateful for them. Even when they keep her up at the crack of dawn when she previously resolved to get some sleep.
