Work Text:
The Fifth gently inserts the caffeinated syringe into his hand. He says it's more effective this way.
Ben thinks his brother is on the drug addict level.
The Fifth thinks Ben is exaggerating too much.
— Is this my last coffee? Soon you will have to jump back into the past after him. – the guy grins, looking at the box and the syringe in his hand. The Sixth rolls his eyes.
— It's too dangerous. I’m scared for you every time you do this.
— Don't be boring, Benny. I've done it so many times.
What happened? What happened here?
Fifth and Ben no longer remember how long they live like this. Everybody died. There is not anyone. Only the rats of time sometimes run in, that's all.
The Fifth was desperate. So many times I tried to change everything... I had to give up my attempts. He would have tried further, until the blood gushed into his head, but the last attempt was delayed. Ben... The Fifth was able to leave the one who was not with them.
The guy squints, glancing sideways at his brother. Bad thoughts are immediately lost when Number Six turns to him, giving him an encouragig smile. It's a bit chilly at night. Number Five would hate to live like that. But he carefully rests his head on someone else's shoulder, covering his eyes.
Falling asleep is too pleasant to think about the cold and another life. So warm. The Fifth gently touches Ben's face as he falls asleep, and looks intently, keeping your eyes open. Runs through hair, cheeks and neck. The Fifth falls asleep.

— Why is it so hot in this chaos today?! – Number Five, annoyed, wipes sweat from his face, throwing stones under your feet.
— Don't call our world that. – says Six with a laugh. – Are we going to try to change it again? Or will we spend the rest of the time here?
— I'm tired of it, Ben. And I don’t want to. I already have everything.
— And the others? Don't you need to save them?
The Fifth looks at him, which is reflected in green, without looking up or blinking.
— I've told. I already have everything. And I'm already used to the ruins. For fifty-eight years.
– And I? You need me? - Ben does not turn away, looking into his eyes as stubbornly and attentively. Number Five comes a little closer. His hair is slightly matted, and his hands are scratched from the past.
— I need you more than I need myself.
The Fifth is rude. The Fifth is persistent. The Fifth is too close.
If he were taller, he would definitely bend down, pushing him against the wall.
But there are no walls.
And the Fifth is low.
It seems that the walls of spiritual morality and the fence from this world also no longer exist.
Fifth grabs Ben by the chin and forces him to bend over. His breathing in his ear makes Sixth tremble.
— Do you need me?
Number Five grins, feeling someone else's lips on his. Number Six feels tears on his face.
