She wasn’t expecting the question, and really she should have. She has after all been very open about the fact that she is a massive Marvel fan and a massive Sebastian fan in past interviews and now that she has a role in Falcon and The Winter Soldier and worked alongside Sebastian and Anthony and all these other amazing people, it makes sense that the interviewer would become a bit curious. Her little crush on Sebastian had become somewhat of a joke among her fans and interviewers loved to ask her about it. Still, it is something else entirely to be asked about a crush when he is in the same interview with you…
“Uh… my crush on Sebastian? Oh god…” she stammers. “Well of course it has been amazing to work next to him. He’s a talented actor. A dream to work with obviously. Everyone on the show is of course.”
Sebastian is looking intrigued. She is pretty sure her face is bright red and meanwhile the interviewer shows her absolutely no mercy. She can already see the headlines tomorrow…
“But you have spoken about this before. In fact, we found this tweet that says if Sebastian Stan shows up at my house I would let him in and make him breakfast. and in your interview with Vogue you mentioned your top celebrity crush is no one other than Sebastian. Is it safe to say you have a soft spot for him?”
She buries her face in her hands. “Oh dear. I mean you could say I do. Like I said working for Marvel is a dream come true and to be working alongside an actor like Sebastian would get any actress or actor excited,” she says.
To her relief Sebastian redirects the interview to another subject and saves her from embarrassing herself further. They make it through the interview pretty well after that and luckily have a little break before the next one.
Sebastian catches her just as she is heading out.
“Are you okay?” he asks. “I’m sorry that guy put you on the spot.”
“It’s okay. I mean it’s gonna be all over the internet whenever this interview comes out but I can live with the embarrassment.”
“For what it’s worth,” Sebastian says, “I am actually kinda flattered you were excited about working with me. I was excited to work with you too.” he smiles at her.
“Really?”
“Your work in that indie film you did was amazing. I watched it like 7 times,” Sebastian admits, his cheeks becoming flushed. “They didn’t ask in the interview but… I kinda have a crush on you too.” he scratches the back of his head. “I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go on a date?”
“I would love to,” she smiles widely.
“Great,” Sebastian says. He takes her hand and kisses the back of her hand gently.
Their break is over and they are called back for the next interview. The next ones are a lot of fun, and having Sebastian by her side for all of this is amazing. She can’t wait to go on their date, she’s sure that will be amazing too.
