A Break Would Be Nice

Summary:

“He is your hyung Namjoon.” Yoongi said, tone getting firm. “Don’t talk so disrespectfully. I’m giving you one last warning. Go and apologise now.”

Instead of taking the offer like most probably would, Namjoon did what any grumpy teenager would and gave his hyung the middle finger.

Notes:

Did I disappear for three months? Yes...but I'm back now. I had exams to study for but I finally have some free time so this was created.

Work Text:

Suga sighed comfortably, leaning into the living room couch. Cup of black coffee in one hand and a book in the other, he was ready to spend the morning relaxing and finding inspiration for his next mixtape. He took a long sip and flipped over the book, pen twiddling in his fingers ready to underline anything that catches his eye.

It was an unusually quiet day at their dorm, especially these days. Their new comeback was in its middle stages, songs being finalized and recorded, choreography being memorised and album concept and design being made. On a normal day, Jimin and Hoseok would be up and practicing the choreo, Taehyung would be singing opera to ‘warm up’ and Jin would be stress eating as he tried to distract himself with Weverse. The only people who were in their normal routine was Jungkook and Namjoon.

The former sleeping and the latter at his studio. Yoongi had been contemplating on just getting the leader a bed for his studio on his birthday since he spent as much time there as he did in the dorm.

After a few minutes of silence, he thought he heard a loud thump but he firmly ignored it, deciding it was something outside that he didn’t have to deal with. After all there were a lot of cats in their apartment complex.

“FUCK!”

Suga sighed. Definitely not cats.

He looked over the back of the couch and watched as their leader ran in, hair a rat’s nest and clothes crumpled like he slept in them. Namjoon ran his hands through his hair and frantically looked around the living room.

“Shit, shit.”

It was quite rare sight seeing their usually composed and calm leader - who looked like he was going to talk to you about meditation - in such a frenzy. He didn’t even notice the older rapper as he unlocked his phone and scrolled through it.

“Something wrong Namjoon-ah?” Suga asked, wondering what on earth was going on.

Apparently, RM was in a world of his own because he didn’t even seem to register the existence of the older rapper. Granted Yoongi was barely visible from his slouched position.

“I am literally the worst leader in the world. Sejin-nim is going to murder me.”

The name of their manager piqued Suga’s curiosity. What on earth could Namjoon have done to piss off a man so patient that he wasn’t even the slightest bit ruffled when Jungkook got drunk and started imitating seagulls.

“Namjoon? RM? Kim Namjoon!” Suga tried again, waving his hand over his head. Finally, Namjoon noticed him and looked over.

“Oh, morning hyung.” He greeted and then went back to his phone. “Umm hyung can you wake the others? And maybe pack a bag for a few days?”

Before Yoongi could even process what he said, Namjoon grabbed a phone charger from an end table and gave it a yank, sending all the little nick-knacks flying. The noise wasn’t very loud but a minute later Jin and Hoseok walked into the room.

“Yah its six in the morning. What’s going on?” Jin grumbled, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as Hobi sleepily leaned on the door frame.

“Nothing hyung but can you just pack a bag and meet me here in twenty minutes?” Namjoon responded and turned to Hoseok. “You too.”

He tried to leave; eyes glued to the phone screen but was stopped by in grabbing his bicep. “You're not making any sense Namjoon. Just tell us what’s happing so we can solve it and go back to sleep.” Jin told him, sleepily.

The rapper winced at this and sighed.

“Ok. You know the photobook concept photos we had to shoot?” Everyone nodded remembering the constant pushbacks as other thing got added to their schedule.

“Yeah, well Sejin-hyung told me that they finalized the location and…we need to be in Jeju for it…today.”

He had gotten the e-mail Sejin had sent him yesterday afternoon and he had seen it but it just slipped his mind because he hadn’t seen any of the others for the rest of the day.

“Today?!” Jin turned in a kettle judging by the steam coming out of his ears and this statement defiantly woke up Hoseok. Jin opened his mouth but Namjoon's phone started ring and he hesitantly answered it.

“Hi hyung…yes…no Suga hyung is driving-” The man in question gave him a confused look but didn’t say anything. “Yeah, two hours…ok goodbye.” Hanging up he rubbed his forehead and sighed.

“Of all the irrespon-” Jin started to say but he cut himself off. “Look we don’t have time for this. I’ll wake the maknaes. Everyone else just get ready.”

Yoongi and Hobi went to pack but Namjoon and Jimin stayed behind.”

“Hyung, the maknaes don’t need to come.” Namjoon reminded the older singer.

Jin knew this of course. Just as the group shoots and maknae shoots for this particular concept got over mother nature decided that their summer beach concept needed a heavy dose of rain. But even though he knew that them coming was quite unnecessary, leaving them home alone was well, a bad idea.

“Yes, I know but do you trust Taehyung in the kitchen alone?”

“Hyung we’re grown men. We can handle ourselves.” Jimin told him as he slowly walked over to the two of them, throwing his arms around Jin and yawning sleepily. “Besides sleep is good.”

And while Jin severely doubted this claim he decided to let it go this time. It was too early in the morning for him to want to do anything but sleep.

“Fine. But I want you to wake them up anyway. Come to the living room after we’re done.” Jimin saluted his hyung playfully and bounded off to Jungkook's room.

“Pack quickly Namjoon-ah. We need to leave in another forty minutes if we want to catch the flight.” And with that Jin turned away and made for his room.

Packing quickly was easier said than done. Preparing for a trip they knew about weeks in advance was chaotic enough but now the dorm was in a frenzy. Namjoon literally started just throwing random clothes and toiletries in his bag and after trying to neatly pack a suitcase J-Hope followed in his example. Still, it was better than what their older hyung was doing.

“Why do you need four headphones for a three-day trip?” Jin asked Yoongi incredulously. “And all of your sound equipment? You're not going to have time to produce songs.”

“You don’t know that hyung. Besides its always better to be safe than sorry. What if one of the headphones breaks? I’ll need a backup.”

Jin smiled at his dongsaeng fondly but firmly removed all the unnecessary equipment, handing the rapper some shirts instead before going to pack his own suitcase. Yoongi pouted and tilted his head at his hyung.

“You know, you shouldn’t be too angry at him.” Suga told his hyung. While Jin was good at hiding his emotions, it was quite obvious that he was frustrated. And if he was being honest, he was too. Not just at Namjoon but their staff in general. It’s not like they didn’t’ know how burnt out the members were. Someone should have reminded them.

The oldest member sighed and didn’t answer Yoongi, continuing to pack his suitcase.

“I just wished he had remembered.” He finally said and the rapper nodded understandingly.

--

“Yah! Namjoon!” Yoongi yelled. The other members were sitting- or in Tae and Jungkook’s case sleeping – in the living room except for Namjoon. Jin sighed in frustration and stormed out of the room and into Namjoon's room.

The rapper was turned towards the door, bag in hand but he was typing quickly on his laptop with one hand. He frowned and sent the message as Seokjin walked in.

“What are you doing Namjoon-ah? We have to leave.” Seokjin huffed giving his dongsaeng a disapproving look. “Come.”

Namjoon grabbed the laptop and charger and quickly followed his hyung. Jin was already saying goodbye to the maknaes when he got there.

“And just order takeout, ok?” Jin told them as Taehyung sleepily clung to him. “We’ll be back in two days.”

“Why so long?” Jimin asked, confused. He knew it only took about a day to finish a shoot.

“Because we need a break from you.” Hoseok teased, pinching Jimin's cheeks which were looking particularly puffy. Jimin batted him off and hid behind Yoongi for protection.

“Mm…I'm going to finish that damn level.” Jungkook mumbled thoughtfully.

“Or you could finish that Vlive your promised you’d do.” Namjoon told him as he pulled on his shoes.

The maknae shook his head. “Holiday hyung.” He gave his hyung a cheeky smile.

Rolling his eyes, Namjoon opened the door. “Come on.” He said gruffly and left. Behind him he could hear more laughing but he pulled out his phone and plugged in his headphones, listening to a beat he was working on for a collab with another artist. The other hyungs came out and Suga went to their garage to get his car.

The car ride was…tense to say the least. As buildings whizzed past, everyone in the car sat in complete silence. No cheerful banter, no karaoke just silence; heavy and suffocating. Jin was sitting up front with Yoongi while Namjoon and Hoseok sat in the back. Yoongi had tried to lighten the mood and turn on some music but Jin just shook his head and firmly removed the rapper’s hand from the radio.

Namjoon took a deep breath as he kept his eyes glued to his phone. He had a hundred million things to finish by the end of the week and if this atmosphere continued, he wouldn’t be able to get anything done.

Before he knew it, they pulled into a side entrance of the airport and were instantly swarmed by their bodyguards and staff. Namjoon bowed politely and was instantly escorted to a private wating area. The flight would leave in about twenty minutes and Namjoon was just glad that they would make it.

Since they had time to kill, Hobi plopped down on a chair and closed his eyes with Yoongi following in suit.

Jin just paced however. To say he was stressed was really an understatement. Comebacks were always stressful even without random duties being sprung on them last minute. Glancing towards the leader, the man was pulling out some files from his backpack and his eyes darted across the pages. Just then they get the announcement that boarding had started and they scramble to their feet, speeding walking to the gate.

Luckily boarding was no issue and in about an hour they would be in Jeju. Yoongi had only been there a couple of times but from what he remembered, he was quite excited for the two basically vacation days away from the dorm and Seoul. The city was his home but sometimes it was hectic and two days near on the beach sounded like heaven. He closed his eyes and let himself drift off, the sound of Namjoon's typing faintly heard in the background over the noise of the engines.

--

‘We are preparing to land. Everyone please put on your seatbelts.’

Blinking, a small smile formed on Namjoon’s lips as he closed the word document, finally happy with what he had written.

“Manager-nim will meet us at the location in two hours.” He told them reading the text as they walked towards the exit. “There’s a car waiting for us.”

“Let’s go.” Hoseok exclaimed and lead the way, marching as he went.

The drive to the hotel and the few hours they had spare went by in a blur and soon enough they arrived on set. A pretty, secluded area the beach and it looked like everything had already been set up by the crew.

They had quite a relaxing time as they posed for picture after picture. The sun was shining down brightly and the ocean breeze kept them cool. The concept was laid back and they were able to have fun with it. It took about six hours to finish up everything and the second the crew told them that they were done for the day, Namjoon quickly went to get his makeup removed and change his clothes.

When he got back, he was quite surprised to see the others running in and out of the water. Yoongi whined and groaned when Jin and Hobi tried to get him in the cold water but noticed the mischievous look in his eyes and hurriedly splashed some water on himself. Namjoon started to walk over to them but before he could more than four steps, their PD-nim came to him.

“Namjoon, there are a few things we need to ask you about.” He told him and gestured to the car that had brought them here.

Namjoon nodded and sent a text to Jin telling him that he would meet them back at the hotel later.

Hoseok noticed Namjoon leaving and turned to Yoongi who was sitting on sand and letting the waves wash over his toes.

“Where’s Namjoonie going?”

Suga shrugged turning around just as the car pulled away.

“He probably ha things to do with Hyung-nim.” Jin said and then turned around dumped a bucket of water on the two rappers giggling in the process.

--

The next day was something all of them had been craving; a day away from the dorm. Not that living at their dorm was bad but it was definitely hectic and there never really was a quiet moment.

Yoongi resumed his reading that had gotten interrupted yesterday while Hoseok ordered some breakfast and then went to the giant swimming pool that he could see from his room.

Jin just slept in and when he woke up, sleepily rubbed his eyes and checked his watch which told him it was past noon. He sleepily went to check on the others and when he got to Namjoon's room he couldn’t hear anything. Quietly he inched open the door and saw a sleeping body on the bed, blankets tangled around his legs and laptop precariously near the edge.

Walking over, making sure not to trip over his suitcase that was laying on the floor, he gently shook the sleeping rapper awake.

“Namjoon…time to wake up.” He murmured and turned away, pulling open the curtains, blinking as the bright light flooded the room.

“Hyuuung.” Was the grumpy reply he got. “M’ tired.”

“Hmm, well maybe you’ll sleep sooner from now on.” Jin told him smirking in amusement.

He turned back to his leader and rolled his eyes. Namjoon had not moved an inch and from the looks of it, was not planning of moving anytime soon.

“Namjoon, up. It’s late and from what I remember to have work to do.” Namjoon had been muttering of having e-mails to respond to and had pushed it to today.

“…Day off.” Was all Namjoon muttered.

“Not for you it isn’t.” Jin told him firmly. He knew what would happen if the rapper pushed his work back until the last second. It involved sleepless nights and a breakdown which he desperately wanted to avoid. “I’m giving you ten minutes.”

About twenty minutes later Namjoon had gotten up and had splashed some water on his face.  As he walked to Yoongi’s room to get his headphones, the smell of coffee filled his nose. Good, he wasn’t going to survive the day with only four hours of sleep and no coffee.

Mumbling a ‘good morning’ he drank his coffee and flopped down on one of armchairs deciding to just finish his work here, ignoring Yoongi who told him that he had his own room, and powered on his laptop to get work started. He had to respond to a few dozen e-mails and then he had to talk to Sejin hyung. He was sure he was forgetting something but honestly it probably wasn’t important.

Jin appeared a while later looking quite awake and he greeted both of them and asked Namjoon how work was coming along.

“Slow.” Was Namjoon's response. “I’m never going to finish this.”

“You’ll be fine. After all you are the leader of BTS.” Jin encouraged, patting him on the shoulder.

Even with his hyung’s encouragement, it still took him a few hours to just get through the e-mails. He finally got on call with Sejin when the other member left to get lunch and go swimming. The call was relatively short but he still needed to do a few small things for Sejin that took another hour. As he was wrapping up, the other came back, dripping water all over the floor.

“This was my favourite jacket Hobi-ah.” Jin grumbled as he stripped it off and threw it on the bed causing Yoongi to huff.

“Sorry hyung.” J-hope said, smiling widely at him.

Yoongi rolled his eyes as both of them playfully argued and turned to Namjoon who had not moved much all day.

“You’ve been here all this time?” he asked the younger man.

“Yeah, but I'm done now.” He said, stretching his sore arms.

He was more than ready to sleep until they had to leave tomorrow. However, as he got up to leave, Seokjin got a call from the maknaes and called Namjoon over to say hi. He walked over and took a seat next to Jin and smiled at the camera. Jimin was aggressively handling the phone and Jungkook was sitting in the background waving at them.

“HI Hyung!” Jimin yelled when he saw Namjoon.

“Hi Jiminie.”

“Did you break something?” Jin asked them, narrowing his eyes playfully. “Because I swear to god Park Jimin…”

Laughing and almost falling over Jimin shook his hand at the screen. “No, no hyung. Just called to say hi.”

“Hmm…well hello.” Jin giggled. “Where’s Taehyungie?”

“Oh sleeping. He practiced one of the songs like twice before giving up. We had to carry him to his bed.” Namjoon rolled his eyes, slightly jealous.

Before Jimin could continue and say anything else, Jungkook mumbled something to him and he handed the phone over to the maknae.

“I couldn’t reach you hyung.” He told Namjoon. Jin frowned at that and Namjoon took the phone out of his hand.

“Sorry Jungkook-ah, I was busy. What did you want?” Namjoon asked.

“Yeah…um did you listen to the track I sent you?”

Shit. He had sent guide tracks to all the members as he always does and then they would send it back to him to get feedback before going to the producers and PD-nims. He had gotten the track about a week back and he hadn’t even listened to it.

“Ah…well, I haven’t gotten all my thoughts together yet Kookie. I will give it to you tomorrow, ok?”

A flash of disappointment passed across his face but he smiled back and nodded.

They talked a bit more and then Jin took back the phone and they all said goodbye. One more thing to do and then he could relax. It wouldn’t take too long to give Jungkook feedback because after doing this for six years made Namjoon pretty good at doing things efficiently.

“Namjoon, we need to talk.” Jin told him as he got up. Seeing the younger man’s confusion, he continued. “Forgetting our photoshoot and now Jungkook’s track? This irresponsible behaviour is unacceptable.”

As annoyed as this statement made him, RM just gave hyung an apologetic shrug. Seokjin however wasn’t done.

“Not to mention the fact you’ve been living off coffee these days. Honestly Namjoon-ah as the leader you-” He was cut off by Namjoon letting out a dry chuckle.

“It’s not a big deal hyung. We managed to get here on schedule and I don’t actually have to give Jungkook feedback until Monday.”

“Don’t interrupt me Namjoon.” Jin warned him.

Sorry, just didn’t see the point in listening to you.” He told Jin very boldly in English. And even though Jin didn’t fully understood he got the gist of it but before he could scold the younger boy Namjoon continued.

“Now I’m going to go and ‘be the leader’ and do work unlike you.” He turned on his foot and stormed out.

The eldest was shell shocked for a second but as he went to go after his dongsaeng, a hand on his shoulder stopped him. Unbeknownst to them, Yoongi had been quietly observing them from his bed.

“Let me hyung.”’

Jin hesitated for a split second but nodded his head and let the older rapper go after Namjoon.

Yoongi found him angrily pacing in his room. He just leaned against a wall and watched the younger boy. He was ignored for a few minutes but when Namjoon realised he wasn’t going anywhere, he turned around.

“What?”

“You over reacted.” Yoongi said plainly although he didn’t particularly like Namjoon's tone. He wasn’t looking for a fight.

Namjoon scoffed at that and stopped his pacing. “I didn’t. And even if I did, I don’t care.”

“Either way you should apologise.” Yoongi told him. “Jin hyung is just worried about you.”

Namjoon shook his head. “No.”

“Namjoon-”

“No! I’m the leader, aren’t I? You don’t get to tell me what to do.” He sneered making Suga experience a moment of déjà vu.

“No hyung! I am the leader. You don’t tell me what to do.”

A memory he didn’t particularly feel like remembering but he didn’t have time to dwell on it as Namjoon opened his mouth to continue his rant.

“I forgot one damn thing one time! He is being an asshole.”

The moment he realised what he had just done, he knew he was screwed. Like Agust D taken over his hyung, Yoongi’s eyes got dark and his lips curled into a sneer.

“Seems like you’ve forgotten our last lesson Namjoon-ah.” Yoongi sighed shaking his head. He grabbed the younger’s arm and lead him to the small dining area of the room, pulled out a chair and sat down. “Did you really think that was acceptable just because it’s been seven years?”

Namjoon didn’t connect the dots for a few seconds but when he did, he let out a small whimper.

Namjoon stormed into their tiny dorm which they called home with a frustrated Yoongi on his heels.

“Namjoon-“

“No hyung! I am the leader. You don’t tell me what to do.”

Yoongi growled in frustration. It had been a few months since he had come to the dorm and everything seemed to be going well. He had gotten along with Namjoon and also Hoseok who had joined just about a week back. However, Namjoon seemed to be having some problem with him and honestly, he did not sign up to deal with a bratty teenager.

“Namjoon-ah enough! Seriously stop being such a child. If you have a problem tell me or get over it.”

The younger rapper just turned away and over his shoulder he gave his hyung the finger. Where he had gotten the confidence to that he didn’t know but seemed like the right thing to do in the moment.

Yoongi honestly didn’t think before he yanked the boy back to him and delivered a few sharp swats to his backside. He pushed the boy over the back of their run-down sofa and lay into him.

After it was all over, with Namjoon profusely apologising as Yoongi hugged him they managed to sort out his issues.

Yoongi had never had to do it a second time and they never mentioned it again, deciding it was a one-off thing that could be forgotten. Even after Jin used this as a punishment for all of them, Yoongi never brought it up because he never took the younger boy over his lap again.

But back to the situation at hand, Namjoon was furiously trying to get off Suga’s knees. Even though he had a good few pounds of muscle on his hyung, in this position he really stood no chance.

“I asked you a question Namjoon-ah.” He said expectantly.

Taking a deep breath Namjoon nodded slowly. “I…I didn’t mean to hyung.”

“That’s not what I asked. Did you think that it was acceptable?”

“N-no.”

Nodding at that Yoongi raised his hand and he felt the younger boy tense under him as he brought his hand down sharply three times. Namjoon hissed but otherwise remained silent.

Yoongi wasn’t one to lecture much so he just focused on bringing his hand down harshly on Namjoon until the leader was squirming uncomfortably. He stayed completely silent unlike last time when he was screaming profanities.

Smack smack smack

Shit.”

First word to come out of his mouth and it was a curse word.

“Seokjin hyung won’t be happy to hear you swearing.” Yoongi informed him casually as he continued his ministrations. “And speaking of hyung, I have never heard you speak to him so disrespectfully Namjoon-ah.”

“So-rry.” The boy hissed.

“I’m not the one you should apologise to. And since we’re here, do you want to tell me what the hell is up with you?” Yoongi knew this was a part of some deeper issue and this was an efficient way to get to the bottom of these things.

“You swore…” All this earned him was a couple of hard smacks to his thighs. “I…”

Yoongi waited but when Namjoon didn’t respond he went back to the punishment. His hand was starting to sting and he decided to ramp up the spanking a bit. He grabbed the pyjama bottoms that Namjoon hadn’t changed out of and pulled it down to his knees causing him to let out a sound suspiciously close to a whine.

The sound of the spanking instantly became louder and Namjoon cringed as he realised the other were right next door.

“Hyung wait.” He grunted looking back.

Yoongi paused and raised an eyebrow at him.

”I…was just tired.” Namjoon whispered hoping that would be enough of a reason for his hyung.

“Bullshit Namjoon.”

Yoongi knew this wasn’t just a case of bad sleeping habits. He and Namjoon had many sleepless nights together and this was just something else.

Namjoon didn’t respond and Yoongi sighed. They were going to have to do this the hard way. His hand was sore so he looked around them for something that could be used for a suitable implement. He spotted a big wooden ruler next to Namjoon's bag and winced sympathetically as he reached over and grabbed it.

The second Namjoon spotted it he immediately gave escaping another valiant try and almost pushed himself off by swinging his weight to one side suddenly. Unfortunately for him, Yoongi was quicker than him and gave him four harsh swats right in the middle of his butt for his disobedience.

“Hyung not that.” He begged.

“If you just told me what’s up, I wouldn’t have to use this.” Yoongi responded and he being honest. If Namjoon came out and said it he would put the ruler away. He waited a beat but the younger rapper just bowed his head and tensed his body.

Sighing he pulled down the boxers he had left on and brought down his implement which left a burning bright red strip in its wake. Namjoon jolted but through sheer willpower kept silent.

He shook every time the ruler landed and just lay there, too tired to put up much of a fight. When Yoongi got to his upper thighs he let out a small hiss.

“Hyung.” He muttered miserably burying his face in his hands as he tried his best to stave off the tears rapidly forming in his eyes.

Yoongi ignored him and kept bringing the ruler down, painting his bottom cherry red. It took a few more minutes but eventually Namjoon let out a loud yelp

Smack Smack Smack

“I’m sorry!” Namjoon finally shouted. “I'm sorry I was an ass and I'm sorry for forgetting. I'm the worst leader in the world.” He mumbled the last part, tears silently rolling down his cheeks.

“You’re not the worst leader Namjoon-ah.”

Namjoon didn’t believe him though and shook his head. “No! I should be able to do all of things I'm supposed to but I can’t! I…I just want a break. I’m so tired hyung.”

This confession broke Yoongi heart and when he looked in his dongsaengs eyes, he didn’t see RM leader of Bts, he saw a small boy called Kim Namjoon. Laying the ruler on the table he fixed Namjoon's clothes back in place and lifted him up and lead him to the sofa and pulled him close when they sat down.

“I just want to go swimming to hyung or sleep in.” Namjoon told him as he cried into his shoulder. “But I shouldn’t want to. I’m the-”

Before he could continue Yoongi placed a finger over his lips. “Shh. Yes, you are our leader but Namjoon-ah your human and no matter how much you fight against that fact you need to eat, sleep and relax just like anyone.” He told his dongsaeng.

“What did you tell Jungkook when he stayed up at all hours to work out or when Jimin and Hoseok to dance practice having three hours of sleep?”

“Um…take a break?” Namjoon asked hesitantly and Yoongi nodded.

“Yes, a break.” He saw that Namjoon was about to argue and held up his hand. “I know a break is going to be hard to get anytime soon but we are all absolutely of helping you.”

He had made up his mind to talk with their managers and help divide Namjoon's extra responsibilities among them even if it was only for a while.

He gently carded his hands through Namjoon's hair until he heard soft snores coming from him. He smiled down and reached for his phone, calling the other two to come and help him.

The came immediately and helped Yoongi carry the sleeping boy to his bed and tuck him in.

“He-”

“We heard.” Hoseok told him

Jin had a soft look in his eyes as he sat next to his dongsaeng. “Aish idiot didn’t tell me and I was such a jerk.”

“Maybe a bit.” Yoongi agreed earing him a glare from the eldest.

As Seokjin opened his mouth to scold the rapper Namjoon's phone started ringing and Yoongi picked it up.

“Sejin hyung.” He mouthed to them and greeted him.

“Yes hyung-nim…Namjoon is sleeping. Yes, I know… well he’ll finish them by Friday. That’s the due date, right? Ok goodbye.”

He ended the call and immediately put the phone silent. If their managers had anything to tell them they could talk to one of them instead.

“Maybe we should order some Japchae.” Jin said thoughtfully as he pulled out his own phone which was promptly snatched from him by a sleepy Namjoon. He had been semi awake this time but hadn’t seen a reason to join in their conversation.

“Sleep first.” He yawned and looked at Jin with possibly the biggest puppy dog eyes ever. Instantly the singer was snuggling under the blankets and cuddled the rapper until he felt his ribs cracking.

“Goodnight Namjoonie.” He murmured as his eyes started to droop.

Namjoon looked over at the other two who had taken up residence on the couches and were well on their way to dreamland. He grabbed a pillow to hold and slowly fell asleep the sound of his hyungs’ snores
