Chapter Text
the light washes over georges screen as he hears the ping from his discord, as he turns to look at who caused the ping that echoed throughout his room he sighs as he see’s the name that is illuminated across the screen.
“what do you want now quackity?” george says with jokingly annoyance in his voice.
“woah, whats with the attitude georgie? why can’t i just call my dearest friend to talk?” quackity exclaimed with sarcasm and a hint of fake concern.
“okay. so what would you like to talk about?” george says knowing that quackity didn’t just call to talk, but going along with the joke anyways, mostly just to see what quackity would come up with.
“oh you know, how’s, um... oh! how’s cat doing?” quackity says obviously blank brained on what to say.
“cat... come on quackity, you couldn’t come up with anything better than cat? why are you calling me?” george spat out through laughs and slight annoyance.
“okay, you caught me, maybe i do need something.” quackity muttered knowing that george was going to say no.
“okay and? spit it out before i leave the call, i already have a feeling i’m going to say no, is it worth it to ask me?” george says questioning his friends motives.
“wait! no don’t leave! i’ll spit it out, just.. don’t immediately say no, think about it before you make any rash decisions.” quackity said practically begging his best friend.
“no promises. continue.” george said flatly.
“okay so... there’s this thing tonight... and um, i would really appreciate it if my best friend in the entire world came along with me.. and i’d owe him practically forever.” quackity sputtered, nervousness laced in his voice.
“what thing? what kind of thing. i already dont like how this sounds.” george said on the fence of saying no before he even knew what the thing was.
“well, my most cherished friend, friend that i love so much. i kinda already told people you would be there, so i don’t really know why i was offering you a choice. there’s this concert, before you stop me just listen. it’s not a big venue, and i’m personally friends with the band, you can drink and just sit next to me, you dont even have to talk to anyone, just sit and make me look, um, not as lonely as i am.” quackity spurts out in record time.
“a concert? and you already told people i would be there? i think i should ditch you just for lying on my name. seriously quackity what if i had something to do tonight?” george says trying to sound angry but is probably not as mad as he should be.
“no! please don’t ditch me! i’ll do anything, literally anything you want, just hit me.” quackity begs.
“anything?” george says considering going now that he sees quackity pleading.
“anything. just please come.” quackity said with full seriousness.
“fine.” george said with a monotone voice.
“fine? really?! you’re gonna come? yes! wait, whats the favor...?” quackity said, excited at first and then faded into slight fear.
“yes i’ll come. now for the favor, i don’t know yet, i’ll let you know when i get there.” george smiled knowing that quackity was now wrapped around his finger until he let him go.
“well, okay i guess.” quackity said wondering what george was planning.
“what time is the stupid concert?” george said with slight annoyance present in his voice.
“it’s at seven, but i’ll be there at six if you want to come early.” said quackity.
“i’ll be there at seven, don’t, and i mean it, don’t make me regret doing you this favor, or i swear i will make yours hell.” george said with only half seriousness.
“you worry regret it, i promise. ill see you at seven.” quackity beamed as he ended the call.
“how did i get roped into this?” george quietly mumbled as he walked away from his screen, toward his wardrobe cursing himself for not asking about the dress code.
