Work Text:
Luna trembles when she wakes again to Farah, the simple memories torturing her until Farah is at her side, hesitant to touch her until she pushes herself up, walking the three steps it takes to fall into Farah’s arms.
Farah’s touch is soft, so soft, so careful, and Luna sobs. The relief of a gentle touch warms her heart even as it breaks. She holds tightly to Farah’s shirt, burrowing her face into Farah’s chest, hating that she shivers at Farah touching her bare back, the gentleness of Farah’s magic humming through her makes her tremble.
She’s been so afraid since she woke to Farah. She’s ruined now. A victim. Can Farah possibly want her? Farah does want her. She holds her close and tenderly, running gentle fingers into her hair, stroking the other woman’s hair as softly as possible, speechless but understanding.
They take their time heading back to the bed, Luna reluctant to ask Farah to stay, turning bright eyes to Farah, hopeful but scared. Farah eventually climbs over her to settle, her arms warm around Luna as she lay with her, letting Luna feel her heartbeat.
The worries and fears were still there, but Farah loved her, seeing her as the same woman she had always loved. That was enough.
