Chapter Text
Awoken
My body, limp and weak, stirred in my sleep. Darkness was my vision, it was all I could see. Someone screeched a name so violently. Sounding as if their life was nigh.
"M'lady! No!!!" An unfamiliar voice echoed in my head, as my frail muscles began to seize up. Pale across my bed unconscious. I was unaware of my conditions. Unaware of my location. Unaware of what took place. Unaware of my memories. Unaware of my my own self...
Muzzled beeps rung through my ear drums, as a screeching ringing began to sound. My teeth clenched in annoyance, as I moaned helplessly, still detached from reality. I shivered, but had drops of sweat slide down my cheeks. I began moving my heavy head some, as my eyes began to slowly flutter open.
Sudden brightness shone in, feeling like knives to my sensitive eyes. I immeadiately cringed before I hesitantly tried again to reopen them. This time, the light was less intense, but I still couldn't make out what was ahead of me. Everything looked so blurry, and fuzzy.
After a few minutes, my vision finally adjusted, but still my eyes squinted some. I figured I was laying on a firm mattress, in a beige room, looking at a white ceiling above me. I had tried to look around the area, but my neck felt so stiff, and was unable to move. A mask covered my face, pumping oxygen that I assumed was helping me breathe. A bunch of beeping was around me, which I realized were machines I was hooked up to.
Another bead of sweat tickled down my cheek uncomfortably so I went to reach my arm out to wipe it away, but found myself screaming in agony instead. My heart rate increased, as the beeping of the machines beside me grew faster. My arm was shooting sharp stabbing pain everywhere! I panickly tried to lift my other arm, but it was no use. My legs were as of jelly, too weak to even move an inch. My body wobbled and ached when I tried to sit myself up, sending more pain throughout my being.
My chest began to heave, as I began to feel claustrophobic.
"I'm stuck!" My voice croaked from my mouth, as I began choke on some sobs.
"Where am I!? Why do I hurt everywhere!?" I uttered aloud, as I clenched my fists in fear of the questions that filled my thoughts.
I had worked myself up so much, pain surged every inch of me. It began to feel unbearable, until I felt myself blacking out. Darkness slowly swallowed me up, until I lost consciousness once again.
