there's a saying that if a demon ever looks in the eyes of a human in love, something bad will happen to them.
obviously, a certain dream demon named bill cipher thought that was just a rumor- a story that people pass around so demons like him wouldn’t cause any trouble. but that’s ironic, isn’t it? after all, he’s a demon; causing trouble is what he’s supposed to do- it’s what he’s used to.
“cipher, what the fuck were you thinking?!” eins yelled at the said demon as he crossed his arms and smirked at his crybaby counterpart transporting to who knows where. “i’m teaching him a lesson. you saw how that last deal went down? i could’ve unleashed my plans but no, that good for nothing brother stopped me.” bill responded bitterly.
eins rubbed his temples, clearly stressed out and worried about bill’s partner, will. will was assigned as bill’s partner since the former wasn't used to how deals work. in the end, all will did was “annoy” his partner when making deals which resulted into bill tricking will to make a deal by himself.
“you do realize the shit you’re in right now, right?” zwei popped out from behind eins, chuckling at the demon’s mistake. bill laughed for a moment before it dawned upon him. if will doesn’t complete the deal with malicious intent, then he’d be in trouble too.
bill let out an annoyed sigh and groaned before snapping his fingers, teleporting him to a car crash site. he was in his iconic triangle form as he floated on the broken vehicle, smoke was coming out of the roof of the car. he chuckled in amusement and saw a human with blonde hair, blood coming out of his head.
“help…” the boy cried out weakly, desperate to stay alive, but bill knew it was his time. he was about to leave the boy alone when an idea came to him.
“hello?” the blonde cried out again when he saw a flash of bright yellow in front of him, “heya, haru!” the boy, supposedly named “haru” flinched slightly but winced in pain upon hearing a voice, “is anybody there? please help me!” he screamed, desperately. bill rolled his eye and floated right in front of haru.
“what the fuck?”
“that isn’t any way to respond to your savior,” bill joked, “i’ll save you! think of me as your guardian angel of some kind.” bill explained to haru who was pretty much clueless at this point but he was in need of help. just a second… at least one second to relieve the ache in his body from the crash.
“alright, why aren’t you saving me then?” haru asked in a raspy voice, irritated. bill was amused, he didn’t think a human would be this snappy even in a life or death situation. “look, kid i’m offering you a deal-”
“a deal?” the blonde was skeptical. “aren’t you supposed to save me from the goodness of your heart since you’re my quote unquote “guardian angel”? you don’t look like one either…”
“how many angels have you met, huh?” bill asked, clearly impatient. haru sighed and that answered bill’s question. “now, all i ask for is to borrow your body for as long as i want-”
haru, still in pain, couldn’t process everything all at once. “fine… what’s my end of the deal, though?” bill thought for a moment. there isn’t really anything he can offer to this mortal since he’s just borrowing his body to find will. “well, you’re going to be alive. isn’t that nice?” bill mumbled the last part sarcastically.
the blonde groaned and reached out to bill’s hand, shaking it which then engulfed into blue flames and just like that, bill possessed haru and went unconscious. the last thing heard was the sounds of the ambulance sirens.
