Chapter Text

A dim light of the sun shone through the white coloured curtains, directly in Oikawa Tooru's face. Well, where her face would be if it weren't for the mountains of duvets and throws shielding her from the sunlight.

"Get up, we've got a flight in six hours," a tall, skinny, and pale male, named Akihabara said.

Tooru's head shot up when she heard the word flight. She shook her head a bit to get her messy, cedar brown hair out of her delicate face.

"Aki-chan, you should've woke me earlier!" Tooru exclaimed in a loud yet angelic voice.

"It's five in the morning, Tooru. No way in hell would've I woke you up earlier."

Tooru pouted a bit, but got up a few moments later. Shooing off her brother in the process. The young lady walked to her washroom, it was turquoise and white coloured, a large bathtub on the left side in the corner, the shower on the opposite of the tub, a large pink vanity, etc. All the normal objects you would find in a bathroom were there. There she undressed, and turned on the shower. She waited a good ten minutes for the shower to warm up, and hopped in.

Heated water sprayed in her delicate face, it made her skin feel dry, leathery perhaps. Her chest raised slowly with her deep breaths in sync. Tooru's auburn eyes closed and let the relaxing water freely run all over her pale body. A few hums were heard from her, perhaps some singing even. Her chocolate eyes opened a small bit, and Tooru grabbed the large bottle of blue raspberry body wash along with a loofah. She opened the bottle and squirted a bit of the body wash onto the loofah. She rubbed it onto her slim body, and went closer to the water. There, she rinsed it all off.

The floor of her crystal clear shower was soapy, and kinda sparkled. Tooru's eyes opened and she turned around to grab her shampoo. She opened it and put some on to her hand, and scrubbed it into her scalp and all of her hair. Tooru leaned her head back and let the water rinse out all of the sweetly scented shampoo. After getting out all of the shampoo, she opened her brown eyes and grabbed some conditioner. She had the 'leave it in for three minutes' conditioner, but unsurprisingly she never actually left it in for that long, thirty seconds at most. Squirting some of it on her palm, she rubbed it into her hair, and quickly rinsed it out afterwards.

After her shower for fifteen minutes or so, she finally turned off the water. She hopped out and grabbed the pink towel. She wrapped it around her body, and went to the mirror. She grabbed the purple brush and combed through the knots of her wet hair. Unlike her brother, her hair was always harder to manage. Surprisingly though, she had very few knots in her hair. And she'd already got them out!

Since she was finished untangling her luscious hair, it was time for the terrible blow dryer. If there was anything Tooru hated, it was the blow dryer. It was like the devil in a box to her. If she had the time, she'd one hundred percent air dry her hair. But of course she didn't have the time. The blow dryer was her only option.

Tooru took a deep breath and turned on the blow dryer. Heat instantly came roaring out. She was taken aback by it, but soon got used to the heat. The amber eyed woman closed her eyes and dried all of her hair. She was quick, mainly because she didn't want to continue blow drying her hair. After the absolute hell of blow drying her hair, Tooru went into her room and walked to the closet.

She walked inside of her closet, and grabbed the clothes sitting on top of the dresser. A white, long sleeved, blouse sat on the very top. She first put on a bra (of course), and then put the shirt on. Tooru then grabbed a black bow and put it through her collar, tying it into a lose bow. Then she quickly swiped some skinny black jeans from the dresser, pulling them up as fast as she grabbed them. Tooru turned around and looked at herself in the mirror. Her outfit was good for a long flight, quite comfortable.

She smiled softly, and walked out of her closet. Tooru opened her bedroom door, and went out into the hall. She was instantly met with the sweet smell of french toast. She walked down the large, marble, spiral staircase to the kitchen. She walked over to the island in the kitchen, and took a seat.

"French toast and sausage today?" She asked, knowing damn well what it was.

"What else could it be?" Akihabara said, giving his sister a slight grin.

Tooru giggled a bit, but stopped rather quickly. She was served a large plate with french toast strips covered in icing sugar, a small pot full of canadian maple syrup, five short sausages, and some cheesy scramble eggs drowning in more syrup. The brunette licked her lips, and dug in. She grabbed a large slice of french toast and dipped it into the delicious syrup, and stuffed it up her mouth.

"Settle down there. You'll choke and die," the red eyed albino man warned his sister.

"Donf worburry, I wobum chofe-"

"Don't talk with your mouth full, Tooru. It's absolutely revolting."

The young woman swallowed her food, made a huffing noise. She continued eating her food as fast as she could, until Akihabara interrupted her, "C'mon eat faster, we gotta go in twenty."

"Hypocritical of you to tell me to slow down yet speed up moments later."

He groaned and rolled his eyes, "Well, speed up this time."

Tooru sighed and ate up her food, and put her plate in the sink, ready for the butler to wash it. She went to the front door to grab her suitcase and shoes. "Hurry up, Aki-chan. I wanna get going!" She shouted to her brother.

"Jeez, I'm coming, settle down," Akihabara yelled back, and appeared around the corner. He put on his shoes and carried his duffle bag with him. "Grab a jacket, I'll meet you in the car," he told her.

The teenager went to the coat hanger and picked out a long, light pink cardigan. She put it on with a smile. Tooru walked outside to the car, it was a large, black, convertible mustang. The beautiful lady looked at it up and down, and shook her head, "Why couldn't we get a cab... I don't trust your driving, like, at all."

"You wanna walk to Narita Airport?"

"I'd rather walk than endure you're driving."

"Rude."

Tooru giggled, and put her suitcase in the trunk. She closed the trunk then proceeded to jump into the car. Her brother followed along and revved up the engine. He put the car top down, and turned on the radio.

"You ready to go?"

"You know it, Aki-chan."

They started driving to Narita Airport in Tokyo at a rather fast speed. Tooru's fluffy, wavy, and chocolatey covered hair blew in the wind as her brother drove at a high speed. She glanced at the time, 6:30. Four and half hours until their flight and one hour to Tokyo. It's not a bad drive nor a long one, but Tooru just wanted to jump onto that flight to London, England. She didn't really know how to pass time. She could talk to her brother, but he really just wanted to drink his Gatorade. The seventeen year old looked at the radio, and turned the volume up to fifteen. And out of luck, one of her and Akihabara's favorite song started to play, Forget You by CeeLo Green. The song was already two years old, almost three, but the two of them still loved it.

"I see you drive 'round town with girl I love, and I'm like, forget you." The Oikawa siblings sang in unison. They weren't the greatest of singers, sure, but that never stopped them!

" I guess the change in my pocket wasn't enough, I'm like forget you and forget her too."

"Said, 'if I was richer, I'd still be with ya.' Now ain't that some shit? And although there's a pain in my chest, I still wish you the best with a forget you."

The two belted out the song with large, genuine, and happy smiles. Suddenly, the car ride felt less boring. Perhaps fun, even.

"Tooru? Tooru, wake up!"

The brunette tiredly woke up and rubbed her eyes. She stretched and yawned her seat, "What is it?"

"Start getting ready to leave, the plane lands in an hour," he said in a rather deep voice with a small yawn.

Tooru nodded, and checked her phone to see the time. It was two in the goddamn morning. She most definitely wasn't used to waking up this early, even to get off a flight. Perhaps a sixteen hour flight you get on at eleven AM isn't the greatest idea.

Her brown eyes looked at her surroundings, it was a pretty normal looking plane. The only difference was, she was in first class. "I'm going to order a coffee or something at the bar, you want anything?" She asked.

Her brother shook his head no, and went off to the bar. She got herself a french vanilla latte and a cake pop. Maybe it wasn't it the healthiest, but that didn't stop her. She came back to her seat and sat down. Looking out the window, she saw the ground below her. She couldn't make out where in England they were, but she did know they were about fifty or so minutes away from London so, that's a start.

"Are we there yet?" She asked the cab driver. He nodded a no, which only made Tooru more bored and somewhat frustrated. She really wanted to get there already. But then again, the academy was two hours away from Heathrow Airport.

The brunette's face tightened with a large frown and furrowed eyebrows. She was incredibly bored. She just wanted—no, she needed to get back in the saddle. So to be away from that for a week was absolutely dreadful. Her life felt like it was over. Out of boredom she looked out the window to see the dozens of fields and such. It wasn't actually interesting, but hey, it was a decent distraction.

To Tooru's surprise though, the cab finally stopped at her destination, Firefly Academy. She smiled and got out of the car along with her brother, Akihabara. Her eyes light up like thousands stars when she saw the gates to the school. "Ah, I can't wait to see Voluptas! I bet he missed me so much!"

"Of course he did! He throws you every three hours, which is a sign of your horse loving you the most!!" Her brother said, sarcastically.

Tooru rolled her brown eyes, and grabbed her suitcase from the taxi trunk. Smiling, the brunette thought of all the great riding she'll be doing. She closed her eyes and took in the (not so) great smell of England and the academy.

"You ready? I'll be going now. So, if you need ya me, just call. K?"

"Of course, Street face."

"Shut up, shit face."

"Building one, dorm four fifteen," the receptionist said, giving Tooru a key to her dorm. Tooru bowed as a thank you. She walked off, and went into the building beside her, building one.

She went up the elevator to the fifth floor, and went to the very last dorm. Four hundred and fifteen. Tooru quickly put the key in the door and unlocked it. She looked at it for a few seconds before her roommate caught her attention. She had medium length black hair, absolutely no make up, a red t-shirt, bootcut jeans, and a pair of brown cowboy boots. She analyzed the girl for few moments more, before she was interrupted.

"Top bunk is mine," she stated. Her voice was a bit deeper, not soft and fragile like Tooru's. Honestly, if it weren't for her chest and curves, Tooru would've mistaken her as a guy.

The brunette nodded wearily and put on a small smile. She was oddly intrigued by this girl. Tooru didn't know what to think of her. But in the end, she just shook it off and started to decorate her bunk and the room.

Tooru clipped the last picture she had on her LED lights, it was a picture of Akihabara and her hugging each other from a few years back. She must've been thirteen or so at the time, so, rather young. She remembered it being taken after her brother graduated from high school, and Tooru was just so glad, she hugged her brother to death. It was a pretty great memory, really.

Finally, Tooru had completed her decorating. Surprisingly, the room looked pretty decent, if we avoid the western and music posters all scattered around the room. She was pretty proud of herself. She sat down and went on Facebook to look at what her friends were doing. Most were just taking selfies of them boarding their flights to London, and the other few were her friends just doing stupid shit. It was rather uninteresting, unfortunately though, there wasn't much to do. The next three days are just preparing for classes to start. What a boring week, Tooru thought to herself.

Almost as if a lightbulb went off in her head, she decided to try and be friends with her roommate. I mean, she didn't even know her name! Tooru got out of bed, and stuck her head up to see her roommate on the top bunk.

"Yahoo~!" Tooru exclaimed.

The raven haired teenager looked at Tooru, and raised an eyebrow. She put her book down and asked her what it is she needed.

"My name is Oikawa Tooru, and I'm a showjumper! How about you?"

The black haired lady muttered a small oh, and smiled, "Kuroo Tetsuro, barrel racer."
