Work Text:
The smell of grass was something he picked up before opening his eyes. For a second, he thought he sleepwalked again into a planes biome but that was quickly thrown out of the window when:
One, he still felt the softness of his nest below him. Two, someone was holding him by the waist and the felt something slightly fluffy around his ankle.
He sighed as he opened his eyes, looking at his side.
Of fucking course Ranboo would be in his nest against his fucking consent.
Sure, his stupid omega brain was happy to have an alpha by his side, probably that's why his first instinct when he woke up was to snuggle closer to Ranboo as this could be consider a scenting session but...
Agh.
At the end, Tommy decided to wake the half-enderman by hitting him multiple times with his pillow.
"You fucking bitchboy, get up!"
Ranboo was awake and finally retired his hands off Tommy, now using them to protect himself from the attacks.
"Stop! Tommy, what the heck!"
"Go away!"
"Ugh, I'm going to smell like fucking grass for like, two whole weeks!"
"I said I'm sorry!"
"Yeah, well, that doesn't change anything, Memory Boy!"
Tubbo was making breakfast when he heard them. Ranboo had a bit of an bit to leave at night and be back by morning, Tubbo wasn't really worried for him. But listening to Tommy whining about the scent on himself, was new.
He put the plates with pancakes on the table. Red for Tommy, white for him, purple for Ranboo and pink for his son, Michael, who was being a good boy by waiting his two other fathers to come to the table. Tubbo ruffled Michael's little tuff of hair.
Ranboo appeared first at the kitchen door, but only because Tommy pushed him.
Jesus fuck, he really smelled a lot like Ranboo. Tubbo made a disgusted face and Tommy, that now was looking at him, laughed at his expression. It's not that he didn't like Ranboo's scent, he does! Just... Not when his best friend has it too.
Usually Ranboo's scent was soft, only one could smell him when hugging the big teenager, now he felt like all the kitchen smelled like grass.
He glanced at Michael who in comparison with his tiny Dad, was happy to be envolved with his scent.
Tubbo sighed.
"Tubbo, I sweat to God, control your fucking husband or I will stab him one day!"
"Been there, done that, it doesn't work." Tubbo replied, taking a seat. The pancakes were lukewarm by now and honestly? The jackalope Hybrid prefers them that way. He put a few blueberries on his and Michael's plate.
Tommy groaned, still angry. That didn't stopped him for taking a pancake with his hands and start eating it, barely even dipping it in the whipped cream.
Ranboo just sit down and begun to eat in silence, smiling at his son that he, at least, didn't looked overwhelmed by the smell of grass.
It was all silence. A bit tense.
"Why did you do that, though?" Tommy asked. He was now at his third pancake and refused to sit down on a chair like a normal person. His fluffy tail swings from side to side, idly.
"I... Don't know" Ranboo hesitantly said. He puts his cutlery on the table. "I guess it was my sleepwalking thing or something, I just had the vague feeling about something going wrong in you room and I just... Slept by your side, I guess."
"Hm. Sleepwalking you surely doesn't know omega boundaries, huh." And he took another bite at his pancake. Ranboo flinched as he muttered another apology. Tommy move his free hand, dismissing it. "Do I need to fu-- flippin' use a lock for my room so you don't enter? By the way, Tubbo, can you scent me again after this?"
Tubbo beamed at him. "Of course, boss man! Thought you'll never ask!"
"I recommend to put a lock if this made you too uncomfortable, Tommy. Again, I'm sorry. I--"
"Shut up, man." Tommy cut him off. His tone though it was more soft, a tad bit more absent. Like he was thinking about something.
The raccoon hybrid drank all of his berry juice.
"Gonna clean up my nest. Tubbo?"
"Yeah?"
"I would really appreciate if you could hurry up. I really don't like smelling like your husband."
They really came far, huh.
Tommy just remembered how he reacted at the first time Ranboo scented him. It was by accident, but even at that moment, he didn't really screamed that loudly at Ranboo for being in his nest as he should've.
Sure, he cried in Tubbo's arms for a bit since he felt overwhelmed by this new scent on him, but he didn't really... Felt that bad.
Now, he saw Tubbo by his side, using Tommy's shoulder as a pillow. Tommy lowered his gaze just to see the peaceful sleeping face of Ranboo.
Ranboo was purring.
And Michael was on top of Ranboo's chest, sleeping as well.
Tommy thinks he likes this domestic live.
