    Tensa never was one to leave things to assumptions. In fact, he tended to assume the worst and never hope for the best.

    Every friend he got to know well enough to be fond of and consider worth dating, he hoped they could see him as more than just a small man who should be treated that way - cuddled and sweet-talked - but it all just came across as demeaning.
    Because Tensa didn’t want any of that.

    When he realized that for the first time, feeling that he was just on the wrong side of every interaction - wanting to be the one caring for his partner, not the one so dotingly cared for, wanting to direct and not be the one directed, wanting to make decisions that were frequently made for him - he had immersed himself in research.
