*Man I love amongus,* I thought to myself as I steadily moved my crewmate across the map. Having only been 2 weeks since I downloaded it, I was entranced by the super popular game. I followed my friend Juliana down to electrical, as it was never a good idea to be alone here. I had seen her scan earlier and knew she was safe.
As we crossed over into electrical, we passed a red crewmate who bore the name “Posty.” This particular player, along with 4 others, had been playing with us for a long time now, which was fairly unusual.
“We should ask them if they want to start a discord server,” Juliana said through the zoom.
“Good idea,” our other friend Lili put in.
I was still relatively new to discord, the chatting app where you could talk to people in text and voice chats. I really only used it for robotics and quizbowl, but Juliana is on countless servers.
After the next game ended, Juliana asked them if they had discord in the chat. When they told us they did, she sent her Id and a few minutes later, I got an invitation by Midnight, one of the players on the servers, to join a server.
When I logged on, it was composed of only a few people. From my friend group, there was me, Juliana, Lili, Crostini, and Xanthe. I recognized the other names from the game as Midnight, Posty, Kevin, Stephen, and Robb.
Little did we know then that our small group of 10 would grow immaculately to over 40. We would eventually branch out from the murder mystery game to play Minecraft, jackbox, scribbl.io, and other games together
Even less expected, this was the beginning of a different story.
