Work Text:
The air was heavy. They were supposed to kill each other, weapons provided and everything. Kotomi’s body already laid on the floor, a shot through her chest.
“Everyone listen!” Murasame’s voice rang in the silent classroom, “None of us are going to kill each other. We stand together through thick and thin right?”
Kashhiki’s soon followed “Yeah, He’s right. We’re all friends! And friends don’t abandon each other. We’re better than that.
“Yeah right! I predict in one minute you’ll be killing each other in cold blood!”
The sound of a gun cocking rang in everyone's ears. At the front of the room stood Ryota, a shot gun held in his small hands.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing!?” Ichino shouted, walking over to the plushie maker.
“Those two girls need to die! I have to advenge her murder”
“Easy there we shouldn’t do anything rash” Ichino said reaching for the gun. Ryota pulled it closer to him. A few seconds later a shot rang out. The girl with pigtails layed on the ground a shot through her chest. Ryota cocked it again aiming for the soldier before Kashiki stood in front of him grabbing the gun from his hands.
“Ryota don’t shoot again” She said gently, setting the gun on a nearby desk. “It’s not worth it.” Opening her arms to Ryota who hugged her tight.

There was someone running down the hall. Soon the doors to room 5-c slammed open Principal Jin Kirigiri running in with Koichi Kizakura hot on his heels. “What happened here!?” Aiko spoke up, “these two girls came in... they wanted us to kill each other. One of them shot Kitomi...” Kizakura kneeled down next to her body, shaking his head once he found no pulse. “It’s no use she’s gone.”
“Maybe there’s something in the lab?” Ryota asked from where he was being held by Kashiki. “Seiko is really good with medicines, maybe she made something that could help?”
“That’s a good thought! Me, Kiriko, and Murasame will go check it out!” Ichino yelled, already running out of the room the other 2 trailing behind. Mr. Kirigiri looked back at the hallway where one of the class first years was lying lifeless. “I’m guessing she had something to do with this?” he asked, gesturing toward her body. “Yes sir. She was one of the two girls.” Karen replied her head hung low as if she was ashamed that they had two people dead. “May I ask who killed her?”
Ryota looked up, staring their principal down. “I did. It was to advantage Kitomi’s death.” Jin let out a sigh. “That makes sense. I can’t make any promises about what will happen but I will promise you that I will do all I can to help.” They all said a quick thank you before Ichino, Kiriko, and Murasame came running back in a vial of purple liquid was in Kiriko’s hands. “We found something that might work.” She said quickly kneeling next to Kitomi, “I hope this works...” she slowly poured the liquid in kitomi’s mouth, a little bit of color returning to her face. Kizukura placed his hand on her neck, a faint pulse present. “We need to get her to a hospital.” He said brushing the bloody hair away from her face. Kirigiri pulled out his phone quicily calling an ambulance to the school. “They will be here soon. The police will need a statement for everyone.” They all nodded mutely, worried about their friend. A few minutes later Kitomi was taken to the hospital as everyone else gave their statements. Once they we’re done they all sat in the classroom tired from the night. Some holding on to each other for some sort of comfort. Kizakura chose to stay and watch over them. Pulling his phone out of his pocket he looked to the kids, “Any request?”
They looked between each other, before Tsubassa piped up. “Something with a happy tune please.” He nodded scrolling through his music for a happy song. He stopped at an older song. It was something about love. Slowly some of the kids relaxed, even falling asleep for ones like Aiko, Kubo, and Ryota. Hours later as the sun started to fill the room in orange, all the kids were asleep peacefully for the first time in the past hours.
