Chapter Text
Milo drew in a sharp breath as a bookcase started to fall onto him. He braced himself before he felt a hand pull him backwards.
"Milo! Are you ok? You froze there!" Sara asked. Obviously concerned.
"w-what? Oh! I’m fine. Don’t worry." Milo answered. Sara could tell he was lying. She took a moment to think before it finally clicked in her head.
"It’s Melissa and Zack isn’t it?" She softly asked. Melissa, Zack, and a few other kids had gone missing a month ago without any explanation. Milo nodded, not saying anything.
"It’s going to be ok Milo. We’ll find them-" Sara was interrupted by milo shouting.
"BUT WHAT IF WE DONT?! WHAT IF THEY NEVER COME BACK?? HOW CAN YOU STILL SAY WE’LL FIND THEM??" Milo angrily shouted before running out of the library. Sara called for him but he didn’t listen.
milo had been running for what felt like hours. He took a moment to take a break and check his surroundings. He was in a forest with a railway in front of him. It was silent. To silent. Milo wiped away his tears before he heard a train approaching. the train slowly stopped in front of him. "Why here? This isn’t a train station." He thought to himself as he carefully approached the train.
The door shifted open as Milo approached. "Odd. But nothing to out of the ordinary." He knew it was a bad idea to get on but he didn’t want to go back. Not after his little outburst. Before he could even get on the first step of the train a bright light appeared at the entrance. Milo let out a gasp as he was blinded by the light. Everything went black.
