Will didn’t mean to, he really didn’t. Who knew that such a simple thing could make Nico act like this? He must admit, it’s actually funny, and witty, and maybe also a little cute, but still! Nico was being a child and it’s getting annoying.
--- Earlier That Day ---
Will was looking for his boyfriend. He just finished his shift in the infirmary, and he was wondering why Nico didn’t even bother to visit or help out, because he usually does. That’s when he saw Nico talking to his siblings, Austin and Kayla. They were near the forest. Nico was leaning on a tree while holding an apple. Kayla and Austin seemed to be laughing about something.
Will tried to approach them, as he got near though, Austin noticed him then pointed at him. Nico smirked as Will got nearer. When he was close enough, he said, “Hey guys, what are you laughing about?”
Kayla and Austin seemed to be holding back a laugh. Kayla then looked from Nico then to Will again, “Oh you know, just hanging out.”
Austin nodded, “Yup, definitely.”
Will then looked at Nico, “And what are you doing with my annoying siblings, love?”
Austin and Kayla wanted to protest but Nico just rolled his eyes then took a bite from his apple, then walked away without responding.
Austin and Kayla then bursted out laughing. Will was shocked as he faced them, “What just happened?”
Kayla composed herself as she said, “Don’t you get it, William?”
Will narrowed his eyes, “Get what?”
Austin was still laughing as he said, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!”
Will’s eyes widened in understanding, “Oh gods, is he mad at me?”
Kayla snorted, “As if that will ever be possible.”
Will huffed, “Then why is he avoiding me?”
Kayla rolled his eyes, “Why don’t you go ask him then?”
Will huffed again as he said, “Oh gee, I don’t know. Maybe because he’ll just bite at his apple again then walk away!”
Austin patted him in his shoulder, “Then go figure it out.”
Will tried to think then gasped, “Oh my gods, he isn’t mad because I ate his McNuggets, is he?”
Kayla smirked, “Finally! You should really know better than to eat your boyfriend’s McDonald’s.”
Will face palmed, “I can’t believe he’s doing this.” Will sighed then went to look for Nico. He knocked at the Hades cabin, “Nico!”
“I’m eating my apple, Solace!”
Will opened the door anyways, “A stupid idiom won’t get in the way of me seeing my boyfriend, you know?”
Nico huffed as he threw the remains of his apple in the trash bin, “You really are stubborn, Solace!”
Will rolled his eyes then sat beside Nico at the couch. Nico then moved away, “Don’t you dare.” He hissed. “You stole my McDonald’s!”
Will then immediately put his arm around Nico then pouted, “Please forgive me, my love. I didn’t mean to, I was just hungry, and your nuggets just happened to be there!”
Nico huffed, “You could’ve left some for me, you know?”
Will sighed, “I know, and I’m sorry.”
Nico just crossed his arms as Will tightened his grip on him, “You owe me McDonald’s.”
Will snorted, “You’re acting like a child, love.”
Nico glared at him, “Do you want my forgiveness or not?”
Will sighed, “Fine, I’ll take you out to McDonald’s this evening, happy?”
Nico hummed in satisfaction with a nod, “Yup, but next time you touch my Happy Meals, I won’t be too nice.”
Will shrugged, “I guess that’s understandable.” He then kissed Nico on the cheek, which made the son of Hades blush. “But we all know you won’t be able to resist me.”
Nico rolled his eyes, “Whatever, Solace.” Nico then finally leaned into Will’s touch. “You’re paying for later, right?”
Will sighed, “Do I have a choice?”
Nico smirked, “Of course you do, but choose wisely, because this would determine whether or not I truly forgive you.”
Will chuckled, “You play a mean game, Di Angelo.”
Nico nodded in content, “Nice of you to realize. I mean I have a stack of apples in one of my drawers, I could always just throw it at you if eating it doesn’t make you go away.”
Will gasped, “Now that’s just pure evil!” Will then kissed Nico in the cheeks, “Alright then, guess I’m paying.”
Nico smiled, “Good choice, Solace.”
Will snorted, “Imagine if you do throw an apple at me, but then I caught it, wouldn’t that technically mean, based of Ancient Greece rules, that we’re engaged?”
Nico blushed then buried his face in his hands, “Why must you ruin all my plans to push you away?”
Will chuckled, “Too early for that joke?”
Nico glared at Will, “Idiota!”
Will just laughed at his now really flustered boyfriend.
