Nico and Will were snuggling in the Hades cabin when Will asked a ridiculous question, “Hey love, are you going to the Halloween party this Friday?”
Nico shrugged, “I got a feeling if I say no, you’ll just stubbornly force me till I give in.”
Will chuckled, “You know me too well. So are you coming?”
Nico sighed, “I guess so. What are you gonna be dressed up as?” Nico looked at Will with genuine curiosity.
Will just smirked at him, “That my love, would be a surprise.”
Nico rolled his eyes, “Dork.”
Will then kissed Nico at his forehead, “What are you dressing up as?”
Nico hummed, “Something sarcastic and hopefully funny.”
Will smiled, “Well, I can’t wait.”
--- The Night of the Party ---
Nico was wearing a black shirt that has the words ‘This is my costume’ imprinted in white and in a font, that’s usually used on horror movie titles. He was fixing his hair when there was a knock in the door. Nico ran towards the door, secretly excited to see what his boyfriend is dressed up as, because knowing Will, he would definitely go over the top.
Nothing could have ever prepared him though with what was about to happen next. Once he opened the door, there he saw Will with a white long sleeve loose shirt that is unbuttoned on the top 2 which shows his chest really well. Then there was a black sleeveless coat over it that goes down to the back of his knees. Will then was wearing tattered denim jeans with black boots, all of that together with an eyepatch, hook, and pirate hat.
Will gave him one of his dorky grins as he said, “Hey there matey! Ready to go for an adventure?”
Yup, Nico was definitely over the place as he blushed and stuttered, “Oh, umm.. what? Will- Oh gods, pirate? Umm.. Your hot.” He then clamped his hand over his mouth then felt a blush crept up his cheeks.
Will smirked, “I can tell you like my costume.” Nico just nodded for he can’t really trust himself to form a coherent sentence at the moment. This reminds him of his obsession with pirates when he was a kid, and Will definitely revived that obsession, but this time, when you say ‘pirate’, this image of Will is the only thing that’s gonna cross his mind.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when Will began to laugh. Nico looked at him, “What’s so funny, Solace?”
Will shook his head, “You really took funny and sarcastic to a whole new level.”
Nico wanted to laugh with him, but him being dressed as a pirate is really making it hard, ugh, stupid 10-year-old Nico is creeping out, “Don’t change the topic!”
Will looked at him questioningly, “We weren’t even talking about anything.”
Nico mentally kicked himself, then slammed his head repeatedly at the door frame, “Why, why, why, Nico, why?”
Will chuckled at his boyfriend’s antics, “What's wrong, love?”
Nico glared at him, “Your costume!”
Will pouted, “Do you not like it?”
Nico immediately felt guilty, “Not like that! It’s just, a warning would’ve been nice.”
Will nudged Nico playfully, “How was it supposed to be a surprise then? Looks at you all flustered and a mess, it’s adorable!”
Nico huffed, “You just really love getting on my nerves, do you?”
Will chuckled, “Well, to be honest, I did want you to be flustered and all, but I must admit, this is a bit too much. Care to explain?”
Nico sighed, “I had a childhood obsession with pirates.”
Will then smirked at him, “Argh, now you’re making more sense matey!”
Nico glared at him, “Stop that!”
Will chuckled, “But why?”
Nico blushed as he said, “Because you’re reviving my childhood obsession!”
Will nudged Nico playfully again, “Hey, it’s not bad to be a kid every once in awhile. I mean look at us! We’re what, like almost 16? Yet, we’re dressing up!”
Nico sighed, “You really don’t get how this is going to poison my mind, do you?”
Will snorted, “Enlighten me then, Oh wise one.”
Nico rolled his eyes, then crossed his arms, “It’s embarrassing.”
Will pouted, “Pleaseeeeee”
Nico sighed, “Ugh, fine! Geez, why do you have to be hot and cute at the same time in that pirate costume of yours!”
Will smirked, “Aww, thank you love.”
Nico blushed as what he said sinked in, “See?! That’s the reason! Now if anyone says pirate, it would be a trigger to my memories and make me rethink of this night!”
Will smiled softly and cupped Nico’s cheek, “I honestly don’t see what’s wrong there.”
Nico sighed, “I’m just such a flustered mess.”
Will hummed, “And I think it’s cute and adorable, and I would pay everything I have just to see it all again.”
Nico blushed at this, “Oh shut it, you dork.”
Will then kissed Nico on the cheek, “Now, what do you say we set this aside and go to that party?”
Nico nodded with a smile he just can’t stop, “Fine, alright.” He then grabbed Will’s hand then smirked, “Lead the way then, captain!”
Will chuckled, “That’s the spirit!” He then took off his pirate hat then put it on Nico’s head, “Perfect, now, you’re even more adorable!”
Nico blushed for the nth time that night as he started to protest, “I look ridiculous, please take it back.”
Will smirked, “Nah, wear it for the night, captain’s order!”
Nico rolled his eyes, but he secretly really like wearing the hat, though he's not gonna admit that out loud, “I guess I can work with this.”
Will smirked, “Aye! Now, we’re all set!”
Nico can’t help but chuckle at Will’s childishness, “You better know we’re were going, Captain Solace.”
Will winked at him before saying, “Of course I do. Argh! I’m like a walking compass!” Nico chuckled as he rolled his eyes, then let Will drag him towards the party.
