“How are you?” Nick scans Charlie's face. “Wanna make sure you’re okay.”
“Nick,” Charlie chides in that playful, bashful tone that Nick loves so much. “You’re the one who just had a panic attack. I’m totally fine.”
Nick’s entire body tenses. “What?”
“What?” Charlie looks at him nervously, probably feeling the way Nick had immediately tensed up. “What’s wrong? Did I say something? I’m sorry-”
“We banned the S word,” he says distractedly. “You- you said I had a…”
“Panic attack?” Charlie finishes, as if it’s obvious.
“Yeah.” Nick is aware that he sounds ridiculously freaked out, but he can’t exactly hide that. What on earth is Charlie talking about? “I- I didn’t have a panic attack, Char.”
Now it’s Charlie’s turn to look at him like he’s got three heads. “What? Yes, you did.”
“No, I didn’t,” he insists. “Trust me, that’s just- that just happens sometimes.”

Summary
The first thing Technoblade notices is that Ranboo is shaking.
Near viciously, it's easy to see even from his distance, chin lifted up to gaze at the walls of Pandora's Box as if part of him is still contained within, still pounding at obsidian walls with his fists until they turn bruised and bloodied. Still kneeling in that exact spot, his feet still flat against the ground, the only difference being the lack of a blade being pushed through his heart and lungs with the same effort it takes one to cut into warm butter.
In some way, Technoblade supposes, part of him may be truly locked away within the prison's depths for the end of time. Ripped viciously from his grasp and leaving him stumbling to figure out how to live again.
At least, it probably feels that way.
