Work Text:
Bam was likeable. It was one thing that drew Khun to him, and it did worry him that Bam was too kind and friendly to most people he met.
They had known each other for what seemed an eternity, but there was always something in the way: Rachel.
Bam didn't realise just how toxic Rachel was to him. Khun knew what she was like, and wanted Bam to get rid of her. Khun wanted Bam all to himself.
Khun was nearly obsessed with Bam. It was close to breaking him.
Small things would go missing from Bam's room, not much that Khun would consider memorable to Bam. If Bam found out, Khun would break mentally. But all the small things meant the world to Khun.
He considered his feelings for Bam to be more than platonic. The feelings of love for Bam grew slowly at first. They were so close. It was such a delicate situation. He didn't want to drive Bam away from him.
But Rachel was always a big obstacle. Khun would always try to spread rumours about Rachel. Some were true. Others were just blatant lies. Khun would try anything to make Bam dump her.
"I've heard a few nasty rumours about Rachel," Khun says nonchalantly to Bam, hoping to get some response. It did nothing. But it was slowly making Bam question his and Rachel's relationship.
They always go out on weekends with their other friends. Kind of like a guys night out thing.
Khun didn't drink anything. He sat by himself near the entrance. Bam was off somewhere, probably talking with the others in the group.
Khun was so desperate to blurt out his feelings. They were best friends, and Khun hoped that Bam shared his feelings. Damn, it was just so tricky to say something like this in front of Rachel.
Bam had left Khun with his phone, hoping he would keep it safe when he returned to sit down beside him.
Yura, a close friend of Rachel's, stood at the bar talking to one of her friends. It was an inconvenience.
Khun could do anything with Bam's phone. Talk trash about Rachel, slander her. Would it bother anyone if Khun wrote one snarky thing about the woman, who he felt, was using his best friend? Fuck, no. She was nothing to Khun. It would hurt Bam if he found out. Or it could make it easier for him to leave her. It was possibly either going to ruin their friendship or help it develop into something else.
Everything happened quickly and hazily. There was a fear of being discovered, but it was too much of a thrill to leave it. Word spread of the mess of words Khun had just sent. Yura was quick to catch on to what Khun was doing.
Bam returns to Khun's side.
"Look, I know I've not always been the nicest when it comes to your relationship with Rachel. I need to get something off my chest." Khun says in Bam's ear as he sits next to him.
The loud music masked what Khun was saying to Bam. No one would ever tell what he was talking to Bam about.
"I'll follow you anywhere. Let's get out of here. Forget Rachel, I'm right here, Bam. I adore you too much to watch you walk away to be with her."
It was a risk to tell Bam what he felt. But he was vocal with it all, and hopefully, it was apparent what Khun had said to him.
Khun held out his hand to Bam. Their eyes fixed on each other as the minutes passed.
His mind was blank as Bam's hand grabs onto Khun's, dragging him off somewhere. By now, Rachel would have seen the post that Khun had created. It was on Bam's Twitter account, where everyone he knew would see.
But nothing else mattered to Khun now. He had admitted his feelings. They were off somewhere that not even he knew where.
