Summary
Remus Lupin survives the war and is hired by Headmistress Prof. McGonagall to teach DADA.
The reader, with muggle-born witch parents who had died many years ago, decided to return to Hogwarts after the war to finish her final year and take her N.E.W.T.s.
... and to continue her crush on Professor Lupin.
To her surprise, the professor reciprocates her feelings this time.
A story of two shy, reserved wizards growing together as teacher and student, as lovers, and as colleagues. A loony, loopy Lupin learning to be deliberately vulnerable and to share his life with someone else. And the Reader navigating early adulthood with Lupin's gentle love and wisdom.
A story about survivors working out their trauma with love.
(I love Tonks to pieces and this is the by-product and cure of the heart-break while writing a Lupin/Tonks piece. I couldn't really write Tonks off as dead just so Lupin and Reader could have a relationship, hence no mentions of Tonks.)
