Chapter Text
Unrequited love.
You could say quite a handful of people have experienced it. Where one person is so deeply in love with another, who is only helplessly oblivious to the others feelings. Or not. There are many different cases with such a common human struggle. Loving someone who does not love them back. Whether they are aware or not, it is still the same.
However, there are also people who don't care much for love at all, or try to ignore those lingering feelings. All they love is watching those who suffer from that unrequited love, through books or movies, some form of entertainment. Or maybe they choose to drown their sorrows by indorsing in many books-people who spend hours a day at the library, to forget. Like a certain character in this story.
Along with those types of people, there are also people who love to mess with those who have such a one-sided love. This person watches from afar as this characters heart breaks, watching the one they love, fall in love with someone that is not them. This person watches as the person the character is so in love with unconditionally loves someone who will inevitably break their heart in the end. This person watches as that characters love, falls in love with the one watching, the one who only plans on tearing both friends apart. The watcher, deceiver, their villain. Why does this person do this, you may ask? It's fun, obviously.
After reading that last paragraph, it probably didn't make much sense anyways, but it will later. I promise.
The story of one man, a certain character who loves frequenting the local library, having an unrequited love for his best friend. This characters best friend who falls in love with the one person who will build a wall between the two best friends. The story of these two friends will come together slowly, like a puzzle...but each piece will be forced into the wrong place.
However, what happens when a certain character finds a book in the library he frequents?
That, is when the story truly starts.
