Chapter Text
It had been a few weeks since the Fellowship had returned to Hobbiton, a place where everything seemed to be colorful again, where no one had to worry about anything other than their homes and families.
After their exciting but painful adventure, all the Hobbits wanted was to enjoy each other’s company forever. Go on walks together, eat dinner together, sing together, share their favorite books, play games. But it was all fantasy, and they knew it.
They did come back in one piece, putting on a happy face for those they love, but they all deeply struggled in privacy. Some in the Shire, in fact most of them, might have thought Frodo Baggins was hurting the most, but it was indeed Samwise Gamgee, who had since lost all forms of happiness known to Hobbits.
He had been so strongly affected by the too many sights of his dear friend being hurt that he had come to terms that his heart would forever be scarred. More nightmares were to come after his already troubling ones. It had become impossible for Samwise to sleep alone, or during the night, these aspects reminiscing him of the scariest places in Middle Earth.
Unfortunately for him, his worst nightmare was about to take form.
Mister Frodo, as he liked to call him, had asked his former companions to meet him by the docks to unveil an urgent matter.
