Work Text:
The window was cold to the touch, foggy and wet. Minho ran his fingers down the expanse of it, waiting patiently for his cocoa. He looked outside, really tried to make out what was out there. Trees, cars, people running through the rain trying not to get wet. He wanted to do that too. To go outside and experience the rain in all its glory, but not yet. He had something more important to do.
"One hot chocolate for...Minho?" That was his order. He slowly got up and approached the counter, nerves all about him. His reason for being here was right on the other side of that counter. Jisung, the cute barista boy with the messy blue hair and round cheeks. Minho fussed his ginger up, subtly checking himself out in the pitch black of his phone before speaking.
"That's me, yes. Uhm,, thank you, for the cocoa I mean." He was not supposed to sound as nervous as he did, but it was too late. Fiddling with his fingers, noticing the lingering stare of the boy in front of him, he carefully slipped a piece of paper on the counter towards him.
"Just.. something in return for taking my order everytime I come here." Before he could grab his drink and be one with the outside, the boy–Jisung, smiled at him, a smile so bright that it had Minho stumbling back a little.
"Thank you, Minho! I'll see you soon." Well. That was unexpected, but it warmed him nonetheless. He smiled back.
"Yeah… see you soon Jisung." Minho walked out, shielding his cup from the rain, a goofy smile on his face. See you soon.
