Summary
Matty and George are best friends. Matty comes out to George. Things are ok. Until they're not.

“What can he do that I can’t?” he almost begs and Matty loses it again.
“George I want someone to love me!” Matty raises his voice, stepping away.
“I do love you! Matty you’re my best friend,” he reaches out for Matty but he wraps his arms around himself so George can’t grasp him.
“Oh my god George,” he yells, “It’s not like I’m replacing you as my best friend!”
“Then what do you need him for?!” Matty’s patience has run out, the candle has burnt down to nothing. There’s nothing left.
Everything that he’s been holding onto has been thrown out into the open, it’s been shoved out into the light for both of them to see properly and he’s so sick of it, he so sick of his stupid fight.
“Well George you’re not going to fuck me are you?!” George is taken aback and he looks at Matty, baffled. George looks like he’s about to say something else but Matty stops him before he says something he’ll regret.
“Don’t.” Matty stalks away, fuming and finds his way somewhere else before he’ll do something he really can’t take back.
