AITA for putting a lowly wage slave in their place?
Asshole
I am a prince and my wife is the wealthiest woman in the universe. Normally, the wife handles the bulk of grocery shopping and meal preparation, but yesterday when returning home from training with my son we deigned to settle for "fast" food.
However, from the moment I entered the WcNaldo's, I should have known better because I was treated with disrespect the entire time.
A man with my constitution requires a large meal, but the cashier treated me with disbelief and contempt as I made my order. Repeatedly I was asked if I was "sure" about my portions. I told them that such low-class human workers have no place doubting a Saiyan prince but I was only given weird stares in response. I was also told that my order would take a very long time, which misses the point of fast food.
The worst came when I placed my son's order, a Silly Meal and an extra large milkshake. The Silly Meal went through fine, but when it came to the milkshake the WcNaldo's workers claimed that the ice cream machine was out of order and so my son would not get a milkshake. Though just 15 minutes before, I saw someone else leave with one!!!!
Obviously that was completely unacceptable, so I began to berate them for their worthlessness and demanded to speak to whoever was in charge of the establishment. Another human arrived and introduced himself as the manager, confirming that the ice cream machine had just stopped working. I demanded they fix it immediately. They said they could not fix it until tomorrow, but I was unsatisfied as they had already wasted enough of my time. I commanded the nearest cashier to go into the kitchen and fix the ice cream machine right now, and flared some of my ki as a threat.
Around this time, my son began to grow uncomfortable and said he didn't want the milkshake anymore, and I had to scold him for backing down. This was a matter of Saiyan pride and if our family conceded to lowly wage slaves then our pride would be irreversibly tarnished.
I let the frightened workers know they were in the presence of a warrior far stronger than they could comprehend, one wedded to the most powerful and influential human on Earth, and that if they did not fulfill my order exactly as stated they would be wiped off the map, and then the manager intervened to give me the directions to another WcNaldo's down the street where the ice cream machine was functional. My son begged me to simply go to this other WcNaldo's and I reluctantly agreed, though not before punching a hole in the counter as a reminder to the workers here.
We were able to acquire the milkshake uneventfully and eventually went home with our meal, but my son ended up telling my wife about my behavior in the first WcNaldo's. She screamed in my face about our family's reputation and I told her that my pride had been on the line. It turned into a screaming match and she's been giving me the cold shoulder ever since.
My son suggested that I post this here for outside input. I did nothing wrong and simply wanted the respect I deserved. AITA?
