Work Text:

Soft lips gently press against Odalia’s forehead. She slowly opens her eyes to see that same smile she fell in love with just a few years ago. “Morning ‘Dalia...” he sweetly says it to her.
“Morning hon...” she says with a yawn making him chuckle. “Happy Mother’s Day.”

“Mmm...oh? Again?”

“Yes again.” He giggles, Odalia wasted no time getting out of bed. “Oh darling would you want to go down for breakfast first? The chefs allowed me to make one of your favorites.” He explains noticing after she gets in her robe and heading down the hall opposite to the stairs.

“Yes yes but I need to go somewhere first.” She assures, saying thank you to some maidens and butlers as she walks to her destination. From a distance she hears those hurried small steps. Odalia's smile grew more and more the close they got. “Momma!” The twins say in unison while hugging her. She places kisses on their foreheads. Edric always wanted more, making Emira chuckle seeing her little brother’s antics.
“Why don’t you two go find daddy and we can play in a little while?”
They nod with grins and run along allowing Odalia to continue on to her prior task. Soon enough she stands outside of a particular door. Carefully and slowly opening it to reveal a crib in the middle against a wall. Quietly approaching she sees her new baby daughter. Peacefully asleep in her white rabbit pajama onesie. Just by a few seconds of standing there, Amity opens her eyes. Still looking a little groggy, Odalia gently picks her up. Hearing that soft snore again on her shoulder. She loved her brown hair, feeling joy that there were dominant parts left from Alador. Though it did break her heart that she would often have to hide it from her parents or when guests come over to avoid criticism comments about her baby.

She loves Amity the way she is and it was frustrating that no one else in this high power clan called family couldn’t accept her fully. But here in these four enclosed walls with just her and Amity. She was able to see that cinnamon colored hair freely.

Amity yawns, letting go of her pacifier but Odalia swiftly catches it. “Good morning Amity.” She delicately says. The baby coos giving her mommy a small sleepy smile after receiving a kiss on her forehead. The mother Blight chuckles and let’s her place that tiny head back onto her shoulder, rocking her. Amidst the breakfast, treats, and even relaxing massages she gets in this particular holiday. Amity will always be her best gift. Odalia suffered through three miscarriages, at some point making her forget her twins. Two negative pregnancy results that made her almost feel useless to her family, Alador, and even herself. But by a miracle, Amity was brought into this world. It made Odalia feel choked up being lucky to receive another child by the man she loves dearly.

“Amity you will always be my miracle baby...don’t you ever forget that...” Odalia says earnestly, happily walking out of the nursery. Holding her miracle child.
