Quelii is of no strategic importance, except for the fact that it has access to a hyperlane that would let the Republic drop a fleet out to attack Mandalore from behind, where their defense cordon doesn’t protect as well. If the Republic establishes a permanent base so close to their conquered worlds, all of Revan’s people are in danger.
