Summary
"Maybe it's my fault. They're so happy and clearly in love. Who am I to break that up?" Hoseok asked, his lips trembling as he watched the New Year's countdown.
"You were his boyfriend, hyung," Jimin said softly.
Hoseok shook his head. "Doesn't matter. Standing in the way of that kind of love makes me the villain."
"Love isn't an excuse," Jimin snapped, getting angry now. He hated hearing Hoseok talk like this. He'd come so far but it was like he was backsliding after being faced with how happy Yoongi and Jungkook were now.
"How would you know?" Hoseok asked harshly, not intending to be unkind but doing so anyway.
Jimin flinched back, his eyes drifting to the countdown again, watching the numbers slowly tick down. Hoseok didn't know how he felt, so of course he hadn't meant to hurt Jimin with that comment. As far as Hoseok was concerned, Jimin had never been in love.
God, if he only knew.
