Sandy Christmas

Summary:

2nd fluffy installment of the Christmas challenge I did a few years ago.

Work Text:

Y/n and Jungkook were lying on the bed tangled in each other’s arms, giggling and waiting for Seokjin to get home. They had a big surprise for her for Christmas that she was completely unaware of, and Seokjin was picking up some flowers on his way home from the studio.

“Where are my darlings?” Seokjin called as he closed the door and stepped into their shared flat.

“We’re in here, Jinnie,” Y/n called in response.

Y/n watched the doorway as she heard Seokjin’s eager footsteps coming down the hall towards their bedroom. When he stepped into the room and saw Y/n propped up on a pillow with Jungkook’s head on her chest, he smiled brightly.

“Ah, my heart!” he exclaimed, dramatically gripping at his chest with his left hand. “You two are so cute together!”

Y/n giggled at his behavior. “Welcome home, Jinnie. We missed you,” she pouted, making grabby hands at him.

“Is Jungkook not enough for you, Princess?”

“Never. Need both my boys in my arms.”

Jin gave in easily and curled up on her other side and wrapped his arms around both of them. Jungkook looked up at Jin with a smile. “Have a good day, hyung?”

“Yes, but it’s better now. I missed you both.”

They laid there for a few minutes chatting about their days and catching up, just enjoying being together. No, their relationship wasn’t the most conventional in the world, but it was definitely real. The love they had for each other was all they really needed; the thoughts of the rest of society were irrelevant.

“My darlings, can you come into the living room for a few minutes?” Seokjin asked softly after a while. He met Jungkook’s eyes then.

“We have a surprise for you, Noona,” Jungkook whispered.

Y/n looked between the two of them for a second before agreeing. Jin and Jungkook got up at once and they each took one of her hands to walk into the living room. Jin was leading the way, while Jungkook was bouncing with excitement after them. When they entered the living room, Jin grabbed the bouquet of roses he’d brought home and handed them to Y/n along with an envelope. She smelled the roses, before Jungkook offered to hold them.

“Noona, open the envelope.”

Y/n didn’t know why her hands were shaking, but they were as she started to open the envelope. When she looked inside, there was a card that had a picture of a palm tree with Christmas lights. Inside the card was a key and three plane tickets to a tropical place. Her mouth dropped open and she looked up at Jin.

“What is…?”

“This is the first part of your Christmas gift. Go get packed, Baby. Our flight leaves in 3 hours. The key is to our beach house. JK and I packed while you were at work yesterday and our suitcases are already in the car, just waiting on yours to join them.”

Y/n leapt into his arms and kissed him hard before turning to Jungkook and giving him the same treatment. “You are both too good to me.”

Y/n felt like she packed in record time, and then running out the door to the airport. It was a relatively short flight, and then they were landing in a much warmer place. Seokjin had rented a car ahead of time and arranged for it to be waiting on them at the airport, so they were able to be on their way really quickly. They arrived at their beach vacation house just before the sun went down.

“Princess, get your swimsuit on. We have one more surprise for you,” Jin told her before kissing them both on the cheek.

Once they’d all changed into beach attire, Jin led her out the back door directly out onto the back patio where dinner had already been catered in for them overlooking the beach.

“I thought we could have dinner here, then walk on the beach while watching the sun go down and the moon rising.”

They ate, laughed, and just spent the entire evening just being together. It was so wonderful to be able to spend time just the three of them with no pressure from other people and no one else bidding for their attention. They spent a good amount of time walking on the beach with their toes in the water and kissing often. After their beach time, they showered together then fell into bed together, skin to skin.

At midnight, Seokjin kissed them both slowly before whispering, “Merry Christmas,” to them against their skin. Y/n had forgotten it was even Christmas time, but lying in bed with the two loves of her life made it a great Christmas already.
