+§50,000 simoleons

“Okay, perfect,” Jisung whispers, rubbing his hands together like a fly, “the plan commences!”

Give Chenle a flower (§40)? >Yes

Chenle and Jisung’s romantic relationship: +15

Flirt with Chenle? >Yes

Chenle and Jisung’s romantic relationship: +10

Jisung squints as he clicks on Chenle’s sim again. Under the dim light of his college bedroom, and the moonlight that’s streaming through the window, Jisung looks like a supervillain up to no good.

“So many options…”

Embrace Chenle? >Yes

Chenle and Jisung’s romantic relationship: +10

Jisung clicks on Chenle’s sim again, and this time a new option appears.

Confess attraction to Chenle?

Jisung halts over the button. He could never do this in real life, never in a million years. No matter how many times Jaemin will tease him for it, or how many times Renjun will send him knowing glances. He’s simply Chenle’s roommate, and it’s likely going to stay that way forever, with Chenle bouncing from friend to friend, the social butterfly he is. Someday Chenle will bring a partner home, and Jisung will simply have to deal with the fallout.

Jisung has the brief thought that, hey, perhaps he’s a loser. Jisung also remembers that he’s twenty years old, in his bedroom playing Sims 4 at two am in the morning.

Yeah, definitely a loser.

Oh, well. Games are a form of escapism, Jisung reasons.

Confess attraction to Chenle? >Yes

Chenle and Jisung’s romantic relationship: +20

Chenle and Jisung are now having a steamy exchange!

Steamy exchange. With Zhong Chenle. Jisung gulps.

He huddles, hunched over his laptop screen, comfortable in his black hoodie and sweats. Briefly, he thinks about making some microwave popcorn watching sims-Chenle and Jisung getting chummy. Hmm. He did miss dinner after all.

“Hey, Jisung, where on earth did you put the extra kitchen tow-” Chenle rushes out, hurrying his way through the door, and Jisung panics.

“Fuck,” he says a little too loud. Jisung desperately tries to shut the front of his laptop, but his swearing seemed to ring some alarm bells in Chenle’s head, and before he can slam the laptop shut, Chenle’s already reaching over his shoulder, keeping the laptop open.

Jisung whimpers pathetically. Sims Chenle and Jisung are making out intensely on the screen. Chenle’s face is right next to his and his arm is resting on Jisung’s shoulder. Jisung prays to every single God and deity the sims don’t start woohoo-ing.

He expects Chenle to ask what the fuck he’s doing, and he’s honestly expecting Chenle to pass him an eviction notice at that very moment. Jisung usually doesn’t hate silence, but he really hates this one. He wishes the ground would just swallow him whole. And he really envies Sim-Jisung, who is making out with Sim-Chenle without a care in the world.

“You got my nose wrong,” Chenle finally says.

“I- sorry?”

Chenle hits the pause button on the keyboard. Sims Chenle and Jisung are freeze-framed, eating each other’s faces out. He takes control of the trackpad, zooming into Sim-Chenle’s face.

Chenle’s hand is still on Jisung’s wrist, and he’s leaning into Jisung’s space to squint at the screen. Jisung’s heart races uncontrollably, he’s getting dizzy, and he didn’t know it was possible to get this red. It’s probably not healthy.

“My nose is more angular than that,” he says, tapping at the screen where Sim-Chenle’s nose is. He uses his middle finger and pointer finger to zoom in some more. He stops when the eighty percent of the screen is just Sims Chenle and Jisung’s lips interlocked. Jisung withers inside.

“And my lips- they’re not cat-like enough.”

Jisung gulps, staring intently at the little dent on the corner of his laptop from the time he’d dropped his computer because Chenle decided to play a prank on him at 12am whilst he was trying to finish a college essay (in his defence he was running on 3 hours of sleep, and Chenle is very, very loud).

Jisung gulps again, eyes trained on the dent. He doesn’t dare look at Chenle’s face— he thinks he might just combust if he tried.

“Is- is that all you’re going to say?”

Chenle rolls his eyes. “You know, you could’ve just asked me for help, Jisung,” he sighs, “I’ve been bored all day .”

Which is… not what Jisung thought Chenle was going to address, especially with what’s on the screen right now. He figures this is some weird way for Chenle to save Jisung from eternal embarrassment— to just ignore that he caught him making his best friend make out with him in a life simulator, and Jisung honestly can’t tell if he’d rather Chenle just confront him about it upfront.

But Chenle already has the upper hand here, so Jisung decides he’ll play along.

“Help with… what?”

“Figuring out how to woo me in the Sims,” Chenle huffs out, finally letting go of Jisung’s wrist, flinging his hand back into his own lap. Jisung belatedly realized he’d never let go of Chenle’s hand, either.

He’s just about to fight back with a why on earth would I ask you that? , but Chenle beats him to it when he clicks on his own sim, looking at the interaction options, and asks a very painful question.

“Which interactions did you use?”

Jisung considers shutting his laptop and getting on his knees to beg Chenle to never bring this moment up ever again. He also considers crying. However, he does neither, finding himself frozen and resigned.

“Uh. The flower one,” he replies meekly.

Jisung thinks he might go blue because he’s been holding his breath for so long. Blue like the stupid flower Sim-Jisung gifted to Sim-Chenle for fifteen extra romance points.

“The flowers?” Chenle says incredulously, and Jisung wants to shrivel up and die, “since when was I into stupid romantic gestures?”

“It’s just a game, Chenle,” Jisung tries, in a tiny and uneven voice. His heart rate has not gone down since Chenle set foot in his room.

Chenle continues clicking through the romantic interactions, and Jisung stares very hard at the bedsheets. He still can’t bring himself to look at Chenle again, so he settles on counting the number of threads he can see woven through the bedsheet. He’s on thread count number twenty-five when Chenle finally speaks up again—

“Ooh!” he exclaims, like a kid in a candy store, “caress cheek! I like that one.”

Jisung coughs out a laugh, a harsh exhale of the air he’s been keeping in. “Chenle,” he giggles, thinking about the many times he’s jokingly brushed Chenle’s cheek when teasing him, “I do that one to you all the time.”

“Yeah,” Chenle says evenly, “I never said it didn’t work.”

Jisung’s laughter dies down. The air in the room changes. He stares at Chenle, who’s still staring at the computer screen.  After a brief moment, Chenle’s eyes slide over to Jisung. Usually, Jisung would look away, run out of the room or do something stupid like kick his foot into the doorway in the process, but none of that happens. He just stares at Chenle.

The moment feels loaded.

Tentatively, Jisung sticks out his arm, reaching out to grasp lightly at Chenle’s cheek. He doesn’t miss the way Chenle leans into his touch ever so slightly, or the way he can hear Chenle’s sharp intake of air.

And Jisung wants to back down, wants to cower in shame because he literally got caught doing what might be the second-most embarrassing thing he’s ever done (first being, you guessed it, the time he dropped his laptop and cried), but he finds himself gravitating towards Chenle. They’re really close, their noses almost touching, and Jisung learns a little later that Chenle had met him halfway.

Then, barely above a whisper, he hears Chenle speak.

“It’s okay, Jisung. You can do it.”

So he closes the gap.

Jisung learns Chenle’s lips are soft, despite him only using lip balm when Jisung nags at him. He learns that Chenle kisses the way he acts, insistent and with intent, but never pushes the boundaries beyond what’s comfortable. Jisung also learns that, so what if he’s a loser, because he’s kissing Zhong Chenle .

When they come up for air, all Jisung can croak out is, “oh,” in a tiny, ragged voice.

“You big loser,” Chenle laughs, and Jisung finally smiles at the nickname, “kiss me again.”

This time Jisung doesn’t hesitate.

Ask Chenle to be your boyfriend? >Yes

Chenle agreed to being Jisung’s boyfriend!

Chenle and Jisung are now dating!
