Dream pauses, taking in a steadying breath. “This skin doesn’t feel like mine. I’m just so fucked up at this point. I guess it’s kind of embarrassing in a way? I don’t want you to see me like this.” It’s more honest than he intended it to be, and he drops his gaze to the hollow between George’s collarbones.
“So what?” George responds, without much hesitation. “You have a lot more scars, and you’re a bit too thin to be healthy right now, but so what? I don’t care what you look like, Dream. I just care that it’s you.” He sounds so sincere that Dream almost feels dizzy.

Or: It’s been two months since Technoblade freed a broken Dream from Pandora’s Vault, and recovery is a difficult process. George has been with him each step of the way, and although they’ve managed to slowly fix the chasms between them, Dream still fears truly touching him. Perhaps all he needs is a guiding hand.
