Work Text:

Izuku has lived in this house since forever. He has also kept his bedroom's shutters closed since forever. That's what you do when the space between your window and the opposite one is about twenty feet and you're Izuku: a shy and self-conscious man who appreciates his privacy.

Besides, he doesn't really need to open them for two reasons.

One: he’s never home during the day, first because of school, then university, now his job.

Two: the sunlight can't go through walls, so looking for it is basically pointless. It hits Izuku’s room directly for about four minutes a day.

Unfortunately, something changed. He can't go outside anymore. No one can. He can't even go to his workplace; his boss called and told him that he and his colleagues have to get ready to work from home. And this is a problem, because Izuku keeps the shutters closed, true, but that doesn't mean that he enjoys the darkness in his bedroom, and his home is pretty small, the only other rooms are his mom's bedroom, the bathroom and the kitchen, so his temporary workplace has to be this precise... hole.

Each morning of the first week, he turns his computer on, looks longingly at the window, sighs and starts working.

         monday

A new week just started and he's already tired. The world situation sucks already, he shouldn't add more darkness to it.

He takes a deep breath and opens the window.

"C'mon, Izu. You don't have to keep them open if you don't feel comfortable." he murmurs. He reminds himself that he needs the little sunlight that can reach him, that he should at least try, so he does it.

He opens the shutters.

He's kinda surprised. The natural light feels weird on his skin knowing that he's standing in his bedroom, but it feels good.

That's not what surprises him, though.

It looks like there's no one living in the apartment in front of his window.

He observes the surroundings: there's another apartment next to the empty one. There's a small plant on the windowsill, so it's surely inhabited. Whoever lives there could only have a partial view of his room, so he pays no attention to it.

This could work!

With a small happy smile, Izuku closes his window. Some light seeps for the first time from his left, and with a new spirit he gets to work.

It's lunch time when Izuku takes a break. He can hear his mom set the table, so he leaves his room without thinking too much about it. He's glad he can spend more time with her, and surely she is too. It happens when the person you live with is your whole family.

He eats and talks with her, he almost doesn't realise it's time to get back to work one hour later. He goes in his room, closes the door. Before sitting down he eyes the window with the plant: some laundry is hanging out, so yeah, someone's there.

When he sits at his desk, he can't see it anymore. And that means one thing: no one in there can see him either. He works and forgets about it, until the light is slowly fading out. Uncertain he opens the window while glancing on the other side, the laundry still there.

Before someone appears, he closes the shutters. He can consider this first day a success.

         tuesday

The second day starts about the same. No people at the window, not even laundry, just the plant. Izuku smiles exactly like the previous day, happy that privacy can still be intact, even under the sunlight.

The first doubt comes around 11 am, when a client calls him.

Izuku does random stuff when he’s on the phone. Sometimes he simply keeps his hands busy with pens and other small object around him.

Today, though, he spins on his spinning chair.

He asks and answers questions because he's a professional, but when the call ends the space between him and the desk is two feet long and he freezes.

He looks at his left, the window with the plant very much visible. And open.

His heartbeat speeds up and he launches himself towards the desk, nearly falling from the chair. Did the neighbour see him? Was the windows already open when Izuku got in front of his? Did Izuku do something embarrassing (beside spinning around)? Does he really need natural light, at this point?

When he goes to eat he feels like a thief in his own house, trying to avoid the part of the bedroom that could be seen, and he acts the same when he comes back too. Yes, he feels stupid, but this awkwardness is exactly what kept the shutters closed all these years.

Before he closes them again, he carefully checks if someone's near the window.

         wednesday

Izuku is standing in his bedroom, eyes on the shutters. Is it safe to open them? What if he does something stupid again?

What if the neighbour sees him when he's naked?

Alright, that's unlikely. Izuku can control the times he's naked.

He takes a deep breath. Lots of deep breaths are taken in these moments, he notices, but he gathers some courage. He opens the window. He opens the shutters.

The window with the plant is open and Izuku can feel his blood getting cold, but he doesn't run away this time.

He can't look away.

There's the cutest cat on the windowsill and he's staring back at him with its clever yellow eyes.

He almost says "hi", "aw" or "take my soul" out loud, but his voice gets stuck in his throat when a man comes into view. He thinks those words all the same, but they can get out anymore, not when the most handsome creature Izuku has ever seen makes eye contact with him.

The man is so close that Izuku can admire his piercing red eyes clearly. The blonde hair is a little ruffled but looks so soft, slightly moved by the light wind. Their eyes are locked for probably one second before the man looks away to pat the cat on the head, but it's the longest second in Izuku's life.

His head is turning everything in a slow-motion video. Izuku wishes he could download it and watch it forever.

He closes the window and hides behind the wall next to it and the desk, his heartbeat out of control.

It's superficial, naive, dumb, but Izuku can't help wondering if what he's feeling is love at first sight. When he closes the shutters that evening, he doesn't know if he's disappointed when no one's looking out the window.

         thursday

The image of the handsome blonde man who pats his cat kept him awake. He looks awful and feels worse. Should he open the shutters today? He's torn about whether doing it or not. On one hand he'd love to see the neighbour again.

On the other hand... would he really love it? Knowing himself he'd surely make a fool of himself. Like two days ago, on the spinning chair, or yesterday, when he stared at the other with a stupid expression on his face.

He grabs the handle.

Why should the beauty of a man influence Izuku's decisions? So he opens the window and the shutters. The man is hanging the laundry.

Izuku says hi.

Wait, what?

Oh goodness, did he really just say hi?

A feeling of dread settles over Izuku, who can only watch when the handsome neighbour meets his eyes with a confused frown and nods his head a second later to greet back. After that, the man just goes back to his chores.

Izuku closes the window and sits on his desk. That... was awkward, totally. But went better than expected at the same time?

"I mean, I was just being polite..." Izuku murmurs, lying to himself.

He was just panicking, he was not being polite.

But one could assume he was being polite, right? And that's probably why the man greeted him back.

Izuku gasps.

The man greeted him back.

His lunch break is almost over when he goes back to his room. Izuku is in front of his door and can already glimpse at the neighbour's window. The cat is on the windowsill again, enjoying the sunshine and the attentions of the man.

He is leaning on the windowsill too, head resting on the right hand, the left one petting the cat. He seems lost in thought. Izuku has less than ten minutes before he should get back to work, so maybe... maybe this can be an opportunity.

Izuku walks across his room with his heart in his throat. The opening window's sound captures the attention of the man, who simply looks away from the cat to stare at Izuku. He swears it looks like the man is waiting for something.

Izuku clears his throat "Hello!"

The unimpressed slash annoyed aura coming from the blonde is torture. He keeps petting the purring cat and observing him. Finally, he talks.

"Hey."

Izuku holds back a gasp. He answered! And he's still looking at him!

Shoot, what now?

His eyes dart around, searching for inspiration, until they meet the cat's.

"Cute!" he says, pointing at the animal. Izuku's usually more literate than this, but what can he say? It's a desperate time. The red eyes move again towards the cat.

The man begins scratching under the cat's face and Izuku's not 100% sure, but he probably grins a little.

"Of course she is."

Right, of course. Izuku nods, thinking about what to do next.

"So... What's her name?"

There's another pause. This man is really into making Izuku suffer. In addition, he's not looking at him anymore.

"Catsuki."

Izuku snorts and chuckles "Catsuki, cute. It's funny, because... Well, she's a cat."

The man's eyes are back on Izuku, but glaring "I chose it. I don't need an explanation."

"Right, sorry. It's uh... It's a habit of mine. Explaining. It's pretty annoying, 'cause I also start mumbling an-"

"I got it." the man interrupts him.

"Sorry."

Pause. Izuku should work harder now, don't let this interaction end, even if all he wants to do is cry in a corner.

He leans on his hands and bites his lip nervously, the man curiously glancing at him "And... what's your name?"

For the first time, the man changes position. He puts the hand holding lazily his cheek on his windowsill and straightens his back.

Apart from the fingers on Catsuki's head, he's mirroring Izuku's stance. He's got attractive and broad shoulders and a very, very intimidating stare. Is he weighing something up? And why does a second last so much with this guy, seriously?

The man opens his mouth, apparently come to a conclusion "Katsuki."

Huh.

"Come again?"

The man's glare is back "I fuc- I said Katsuki."

Alright, Izuku's confused. Wasn't that the cat's name?

"It is, but her name starts with c, fucking obviously, and mine with k."

He said his thoughts out loud, but at least he got a very logic answer. Right?

"That's uhm..." Izuku looks for the right adjective.

"Just spit it out!" Katsuki barks. Catsuki looks annoyed because in the meantime her owner stopped petting her.

"Unique!"

"Are you humouring me?"

He looks offended and Izuku's panicking again "What? No! It really is!"

"Whatever."

With that, Katsuki picks Catsuki up and goes inside, closing his window.

Well, this was just great.

Izuku gets back to work sadder than usual. He didn't mean to offend the other man, it was actually the opposite of what he meant to do. Not that he's sure about what he means to do. Still. He's not someone who enjoys making fun of people in general.

The whole afternoon he worries about what Katsuki must think of him now. He was taken aback! Sue him! But also forgive him, please! He's not great at flirting!

Oh well, he found out what he means to do, at least.

At the end of the day, Katsuki's window is still closed.

         friday

It's Friday, AKA the fifth day of open shutters (which could be a great title for a movie). Izuku doesn't know if he'd like to see Katsuki right after the failure of the previous day or if he should ignore everything and go back straight out to his mission.

Katsuki knows what Izuku should do, apparently. When he opens the shutters, the other man is already there. As soon as Katsuki sees him, though, he glares at him and goes back inside. Izuku nods to himself.

Fair. It's fair. They're over before anything could happen. Cool.

He absolutely doesn't feel his heart breaking and he doesn't text Ochaco to tell her that he brutally killed his chance to get to know the most handsome man of the planet. Nope. In fact, the call he's receiving is random.

"Izuku?"

"Yes?"

"First of all: where the hell did you find a handsome man? We're in quarantine. Second of all: teach me."

Izuku snorts "Uhm, I can teach you how to be awkward, if you want."

"You already taught me that! Tell me about the handsome man!"

He checks the time "In a few minutes I should start working though."

"Is it a long story?" she giggles. Well, it could be, Izuku thinks. Depends on how many ways to describe Katsuki Izuku can find. And he's literate, remember?

"I'll be brief."

And he kinda manages, surprisingly, but in a minute he should say hello to his friend anyway.

"Who the heck name their cat after themselves?"

"Katsuki."

"Yeah Izu, it was rhetorical. I mean, I get it. He has the right to be offended, but..."

"But?"

"But you had the right to be confused! I can't stress this enough: who the heck name their cat after themselves?"

Izuku chuckles, a little relieved "You have a point."

"Fancy that."

"I have to go now. I just- I'm not sure what to do next."

"In my opinion, as long as you don't stalk him, you can keep trying to get to know him. At least you can think about something other than your job!" Izuku blushes, guilty.

"Yeah, I should totally think about other stuff." he deadpans.

"Exactly! So, go for it!" Izuku thinks about Ochaco encouragements during every break, every moment he can look outside the window, but there is no trace of Katsuki. Or Catsuki, for that matter. He gives up only when it's dark outside.

         saturday

Once again, Izuku is confused. Today he's not supposed to work, he will probably spend the day fooling around, chatting with his mom and watching some anime. He's glad, but he knows that his mind will be full of Katsuki's glaring red eyes.

After breakfast he lazily goes back to his room, still in his pajamas. He doesn’t need to look presentable or something, Katsuki's avoiding him anyhow.

Except he's not. Izuku opens windows and shutters, and apparently Katsuki is waiting for him because as soon as he does, he looks at him and puts his phone in his pocket.

Izuku holds his stare, open arms and handles in hand.

"Hey."

Izuku gasps inside. He hopes.

"H-hello!"

Katsuki still looks angry, but he doesn't move "You didn't tell me your name."

Izuku blushes and crosses his arms, a little self-conscious about his current attire "I'm Izuku."

"Sounds like a dumb name."

He raises his eyebrows. That's not nice at all, but... Katsuki is talking with him, isn't he?

"It even looks like a dumb name."

Katsuki's eyes narrow "What do you mean."

"You can also read it as Deku."

One second.

Two seconds.

Three seconds.

Katsuki snorts and lowers his head to hide a smirk.

HE SNORTS.

AND LOWERS HIS HEAD.

TO HIDE A SMIRK.

Izuku's heartbeat speeds up while he admires the reaction of the man on the opposite side of the street.

He made that happen!

Katsuki looks at him again, still trying to act serious "Well, shit."

"Yeah."

"I'll definitely call you Deku, then."

Honestly, Izuku doesn't care. He could call him anything, even sewer rat. But it's not time for that, it's time to be brave again.

"And what should I call you?" he asks, hoping that Katsuki doesn't notice the tremor in his voice.

"You know my name."

"I do, but I don't wanna feel like I'm calling your cat."

"She doesn't answer to Dekus."

"Still." Izuku smiles "I'll think about it."

Katsuki humphs and straightens up "Good luck with that."

His eyes study Izuku one last time before he closes the window and disappears inside.

When everything you can do has to be indoors, specifically in your own house, it gets boring pretty fast. Izuku has lunch as usual with his mom, this time taking it slowly, then does some chores before thinking about the endless possibilities of unproductive activities.

At some point Ochaco texts him, asking him about the handsome man, and of course he giggles.

"Izuku?"

"Hey!"

"Are you calling me because you have real news?"

"We talked this morning! He asked my name! I mean he didn't ask, but he indirectly asked."

"I don't know what you mean. And then?" Izuku tries to tell her the exact words they exchanged, amused by the excited reactions of his friend.

"A nickname, huh?"

"Yeah, I'm not sure though. I feel like I should talk with him a little more to find the perfect one."

"Ha, you can tell him that."

Izuku snorts "Is there anything more desperate-sounding?"

"Yes, you during the first interaction."

"Ugh, don't remind me!"

"Listen to me, then! Wait, where are you now?"

"On my bed?"

"Check if he's at the window, silly!"

"You said I shouldn't stalk him!"

"Just check!" Izuku sighs. Katsuki's window is out of his view from there, so he needs to stand up. He peeks out and notices the cat sleeping under the sunshine on the windowsill, the window is open.

"Uh, there's Catsuki."

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON THE PHONE?"

Izuku chuckles "Catsuki the cat."

"Oh. Right, how could I forget? Anyway, is the window open?"

"Yep."

"Then open yours too and, I don't know, see if he comes out. Wait, go now! Pretend you're talking with me on the phone!"

"Why do I have to pretend?"

"Too many questions, go." He's not sure why, but he goes and opens the window anyway. He hopes his friend won't make him say embarrassing stuff. He's an optimistic.

"What now?"

"Let's talk! Don't lower your voice."

"I'm gonna regret this." the cat is already looking at him and if she could, she would totally judge him.

"Shush, let me know if you see him."

"How?"

"Just follow my lead. Tell me about your day."

"Oh, alright! I have not much to tell you, honestly. I spent some time with mom and-" Izuku stops when Katsuki looking out the window to check on his cat.

"And?" Ochaco pushes. At the same time, Katsuki notices him and nods his head to greet him. His hair is wet. Now Izuku imagines Katsuki showering and needs to sit down.

"Hi, Katsuki." he squeals, grabbing his chair.

"Are you greeting the ca- OH!" Ochaco shouts in his ear, meanwhile Katsuki minds his own business and starts hanging his laundry "KEEP GOING, IZU!"

Izuku sits down at the window "A-and this morning I watched Jujutsu Kaisen."

"What is it?"

"Wha- Ochaco! It's one of the best animes right now!"

"TOO NERDY, remind me how many times you go to the gym."

What the hell "Uhm, I went three times a week."

"Where?"

"...To the gym? Before they were closed?" Izuku is trying very hard not to stare at the man, but he can see Katsuki glancing at him, frowning. Honestly, he's right. Izuku is acting like a weirdo in front of his love interest, he's an idiot. Katsuki doesn't know this, but he does, and Ochaco laughing maniacally is not helping.

"Are you still hot?"

"Ochaco!" Izuku blushes.

"Answeeeer!"

"How the heck am I supposed to answer?"

"Izuku!"

"I've never been hot, the question is wrong!" Izuku lays his arm on the windowsill and hides his face in it. He definitely doesn't want to know if Katsuki is listening or not, this call has to end.

"So humbleee!"

"Alright, you're just messing with me now. I'm hanging up."

"You'll thank me la-" he doesn't let her finish, Izuku just throws his phone somewhere on the desk and then hides in both of his arms. For a minute he only hears the sound of damp clothes being handled.

Then Catsuki meows.

"Tch, spoiled brat."

Izuku peeps in the direction of the voice. Katsuki is scratching the cat's head, his face completely turned towards her. Despite his words, he has such a fond expression that Izuku melts on the spot.

He's sweet. He acts like he's not, but he is. With his cat at least. Izuku sighs dreamily, then blushes because of course Katsuki hears him and turns to look at him.

"Aren't you calling your girlfriend back?" Katsuki asks. Izuku barely sees the little frown on his face.

"Oh, oh no, I hate her now."

Silence. Then it clicks.

"Also, she's not my girlfriend, she's just my best friend. Was."

"Mh." Katsuki looks at the purring cat again, apparently the only one having fun right now. Izuku secretly wishes he could take her place.

Another bunch of seconds passes before anyone moves or says anything, until Katsuki clears his throat.

"Have you read the manga?"

"Huh?"

"Jujutsu Kaisen. Have you read it?"

"Oh!" Izuku's heart skips a beat. Katsuki was listening. He kinda wants to disappear "N-not yet, I want to, as soon as I catch up with the anime. Uhm, have you?"

"Of course I have." Ah, this guy. Acting all tough, scratching an adorable's cat head.

"Is it good?"

"Do you think I fucking like wasting my time with something if it's not good?"

And, of course, Izuku answers without thinking "Is that the reason why you're still talking to me?"

Izuku would like to describe himself as smooth, but he can't. He's too honest. However, when he sees Katsuki's ears become a dark shade of pink, he thinks that okay, he's not a lost cause.

The stunned expression on his neighbour's red face is probably the best thing he's ever seen. And Izuku has seen Katsuki showering. In his head.

"It-It's called charity work." Katsuki stutters? "Keep up, Deku."

Oh, he keeps up, alright.

It's time to push forward.

"Is that so?"

"The fuck are you smiling about?" Katsuki picks Catsuki up and Izuku knows what that means, but he won't let him run without a fight.

"You know, I think I found the perfect nickname for you!"

"Like I give a shit!"

Izuku smiles and Katsuki takes a step back.

"We both know you do." Katsuki glares at him so intensely that if he could, Izuku is sure he'd explode him right off. But Izuku is not done.

"You know, 'cause you're very kind to me with this charity work of yours. Also..." Izuku prays for himself "You're very cute, Kacchan."

"FUCKIN- FUCK OFF, FUCK YOU. GO WATCH YOUR FUCKING JUJUTSU KAISEN SHIT, FUCKER." And Izuku's pretty sure that the sequence of insults carries on even after Katsuki closes his window.

In the meantime, Izuku is on cloud nine.

         sunday

Izuku wakes up and smiles when he looks at the window. He saw Katsuki for the first time on Wednesday and he's ready to marry the man. He starts his day looking forward to the moment he'll talk to him, hoping he won't hide somewhere in his home.

He can picture him almost clearly, sitting and cuddling Catsuki with an angry pout on his face. Adorable. Izuku should seriously think about asking him out, the only problem is predicting when this quarantine will be over. What if it took months? Years?!

Izuku can't wait that much. But then, another question pops up in his head: is Katsuki even single? Wait, does he like men? He doesn't act like someone who doesn't like men, he looked too flustered, or maybe he looked flustered exactly because he doesn't like men.

This is getting tricky. Izuku has to gather the same confidence of the previous day and ask him. No, he should ask him if he's single, then ask him out. Asking directly if he likes men is not nice. Or is it? Whatever, he doesn't care as long as Katsuki likes Izuku, specifically.

He can do this. Even Ochako said that he can do this when he called her after dinner to rant about their conversation, so.

With bed hair and pajamas on, he aggressively opens windows and shutters. Katsuki is there. He stares at him with wide eyes, caught red handed while opening his window.

He has his pajamas on, too! This is fate. Izuku is imploding.

"Good morning, Kacchan!" he exclaims beaming.

"Shut the fuck up."

"You look good!"

"It's too early for your shit."

"It's not shit, you do look good!"

"Christ, Deku." He sighs annoyed, but he rests his arms on the windowsill, too. Good sign.

"So, Kacchan," he starts, more seriously "I was curious about something."

"Should I care?"

"I guess so? It's about you."

"What do you want from me?" It doesn't sound like a question and even if it was, Izuku should not answer. Inappropriate things would come out of his mouth.

"I was wondering, are you single?" he blurts, before he changes his mind.

Katsuki narrows his red eyes, glaring at him. Well, like he always does. Izuku realises it's the exact same gaze he had before telling him his name.

"Why are you asking me that?"

Oh well, lying is bad, isn't it?

"I wanted to ask you out."

"We're in quarantine."

"I can wait!" he assures, determined "If you accept, o-of course.”

Katsuki doesn't answer right away. He keeps his eyes on him, pondering.

"What if I can't?"

What if Katsuki can't what? What if he can't accept? Izuku frowns and his shoulders deflate. He looks away and lowers his head.

"W-well, I tried?" he murmurs.

"I meant, what if I can't wait, dumbass." Izuku perks up immediately.

Katsuki is intently staring at his plant with a very red blush on his face and all Izuku wants to do is jumping towards him screaming that he's cheesy as heck and that he already knows who their wedding guests will be anyway.

"Me neither!"

"You said you can wait!"

"I can and I can't wait at the same time!"

"I'll regret this."

"No, you won't!"

"I definitely will. You're weird, you act all shy and literally the next second you say the most embarrassing shit."

"But you're so cute, Kacchan!"

"AS I SAID, THE MOST EMBARASSING SHIT."

Izuku is smiling so much that his face hurts. The man is still staring at him with a scowl- actually, it seems like he just snarled, but he honestly couldn't care less. He accepted! They'll go on a date!

"Do you mind giving me your number?"

"Why should I do that?"

"So that we can get to know each other a little more!"

"We are neighbours and we can't leave our homes, isn't that enough?"

"But we can't arrange our meetings at the window!"

"Are you fucking serious?! This week you bothered me EVERY DAY."

"Yeah, and I can't push my luck!"

"I can't stand you." Katsuki straightens up and grabs the handle "I need coffee."

"Wait, what about the nu-" Izuku doesn't even finish the sentence, Katsuki already closed the window. It doesn't matter, though.

He knows that's all an act, he knows Katsuki stands him, and he really really wants to know more about him. One day he'll get Katsuki's number, one day they'll go out, one day they'll be closer than twenty feet, and that's what really matters to him.

         sunday 2.0

Izuku is on the bed, lying on his side and head rested on the left hand.

"I love you so much." he whispers sweetly keeping his other hand in movement. This moment is hands down one of his favourites. He feels so calm and relaxed, so full of love.

"You're the cutest of the land, Cat."

"For God's sake, Deku, I'm trying to sleep." Izuku looks away from Catsuki and stares at his boyfriend's hair. The cat is nestling against them. Between Izuku and Katsuki's back, to be more specific.

"You're jealous." he states, petting the cat.

Katsuki scoffs "Jealous? I wouldn't want some weirdo whispering nonsense to my ear."

Izuku giggles and drags himself towards him, trying not to disturb Catsuki. Now that he hovers over him, he whispers "Are you sure, Kacchan?"

Katsuki grumbles and hides his face on the pillow. The lack of insults and screams gratifies Izuku, who completely crosses the cat and lies over Katsuki's back. When his boyfriend grunts, Izuku can't hold a snort back.

"How can you be so annoying at ass o'clock in the morning?"

"Kacchan, it's ten am."

"It's also Sunday." Izuku whines, then he rests his forehead on Katsuki's nape. Katsuki slightly shifts "Your stupid hair tickles me, leave me alone."

"If I knew you'd be so grumpy, I would have never asked you out."

"I'll believe that when your fingers won't be brushing my biceps."

"Party pooper." Katsuki snorts at that and moves his head, half of his face visible again. Izuku kisses his cheek without thinking and gazes at the grin appearing on the other's face.

Katsuki is right, what Izuku said is a big fat lie. Asking him out is the best thing he could've done that day. In almost four years, he never regretted doing it. Not once. The first time they met outside their homes, standing in front of each other felt so weird.

Knowing that they could touch the other, though? That was exhilarating. Katsuki's personality was intense, but so interesting. Izuku could finally admire the light in his red eyes when Katsuki joked, even if he had the most serious face and tone.

Up close his broad shoulders were as irresistible as they seemed and Christ, Izuku almost cried when he registered that of course Katsuki had a great ass, too. Even at arm length, every part of Katsuki made Izuku deeply fall in love with him.

An hour barely passed before Katsuki held his hand.

Thirty minutes later Izuku asked him if he trusted him enough to momentarily take off their masks and let him kiss him.

Katsuki brought him home.

Best day ever. It's been years, and Izuku still gets butterflies in his stomach.

"Whatcha mumbling about, nerd?"

"Mh..." Izuku pauses "Biceps, I guess."

"So dumb."

"And your ass."

"Why did I even ask."

Izuku laughs and kisses his shoulder blade before getting comfortable on top of his grunting boyfriend.

Lazily petting Catsuki is one of his favourite moments, but this? This is heaven. Thank goodness he opened those shutters.

Hello!
This story was originally a thread on my Twitter account. I got really fond of it, so I decided to correct all the mistakes I could find (the double "thursday", for example lol) and publish it here!
It made me laugh a lot (maybe too much?) and tweeting the "epilogue" made me a little emotional. I hope you felt something good, too, while reading it!
If you liked my writing, you can find other works here! I'm currently working on a long fic ("On the hook").
Thank you so much! (besto friendo)
