Chapter Text
"So," a gruffy voice said, "You hear that some old hermit named Obi-Wan apprehended Maul?"
Ezra looked up from his breakfast to Zeb, his friend and the only other occupant of the basement they were in. No. Basement would be an understatement. This is a bunker. A high tech bunker below an old comm tower at the edge of town. "Apprehended...?" A pause. "Killed." "Oh." Killed. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't even have himself take pity on him. No. What he did to Kanan, and so many others, was unforgivable. Good riddance.
"Heard rumors that he was the head of Crimson Dawn. If they were true, it might be a good way to gain intel, or better, get an op done in the chaos."
"Actually," Ezra replied, "I already have an op planned for us. Got intel that a high value shipment is being smuggled through."
" Wait, already? " Zeb complained. "It hadn't been a week since our last op! We have plenty of money around!"
" Okay, number 1. You said it yourself we should take advantage of the chaos. And number 2. We don't have plenty of money. "
" Are you even sure it's Crimson Dawn? We really don't need to be making more enemies right now. And what contraption did you waste our money on this time? "
" That was my money, and, " Ezra hesistated. "I may have bought an Anti Vehicle Guided Missile launcher." Ezra finished in a small voice.
"WHA-. Where do you even find these things?" Zed groaned.
"Doesn't matter! I got it cuz our bunker needed it!" Ezra replied in an defensive stance. "Now, we're heading out the day after tomorrow, so be ready! I'm going to meet with Hera and Kanan and enjoy my weekend. Bye!" Said Ezra as he waltzed out the front door. Maul is dead, he's dead. He thought to himself as he got in his car.
