Summary
At first, with the wildly changing stage lights and the screams from the crowd, Chu Wanning can’t make out any features of the three individuals. He assumes the one going towards the back of the stage must be Xue Meng as the person takes a seat behind the drums. Then the light flashes on the face of the one taking their place at the keys and Chu Wanning is graced with the sight of a delicate beauty, his features soft and gentle as he smiles for the audience.
The crowd’s loudest screams, however, seem to be reserved for the man who takes center stage, swaggering up to the microphone with total confidence. The lights flash too quickly for Chu Wanning to catch a proper glimpse of his features but he can tell that this lead singer is handsome. It isn’t until the music starts and the man starts singing that Chu Wanning gets a real understanding of what he is watching.

Upon just finishing his PhD, Chu Wanning goes out and does something stupid for the first time in his life. He has a one night stand. 5 years later, he runs into the same man at a concert, only this time as nothing more than another faceless fan in the crowd.
