   Summary

   Emperor Taxian-Jun reigns mercilessly, conquering new cities by day and laying siege to others by night. Each day he insists on taking a new cultivator to be his new bride. Each night he marries them and kills them. When one of Chu Wanning’s disciples Xue Meng is chosen he intervenes, deciding to go in his place. Chu Wanning does not fear the emperor. Instead, he makes it his mission to kill him.

   But soon he finds out that the palace is not what he thought and the emperor is not as strong inside as he looks. But Chu Wanning's heart is not as strong as he thought either.
