Summary
Xiao stops a small distance away from Venti , just a few steps, and ignores everyone but him. His heart is pounding more and more the longer he waits for Venti to look at him--if he will at all. Finally, Venti turns, and their eyes lock immediately. Both of their hearts stop for just a moment, time around them seeming to still as recognition flickers and flames between them. Venti is hardly audible when he utters his name, but Xiao can hear him as if he's loud and clear, right next to him, the single word carried across the wind as softly as a sigh against his cheek.
