Work Text:

There he was. Forest green curls bounced in the sunlight, just adding more to the list why this creature was absolutely mesmerizing. Freckles, that spread across on slightly chubby cheeks, made a certain barbarian wonder if there was more on other body parts.

The boy was busy burying himself into a thick book, sometimes scribbling something onto it made him look not just adorable but smart.

“Is this the day when you finally man up, and talk to him?” The redhead popped up beside his lord and best friend, his gaze suggestively glued to the window, which let the two alpha stalk the smaller boy.

Bakugou averted his gaze for a split second, just to give Kirishima a menacing glare, but nonetheless turned back to the average-sized hostelry.

“Come on, Bakugou! You’ve been having the hots, drooling, pining-“

“Shut the fuck up, you just repeating useless synonyms.”

“-over Midoriya about... well since you presented. Don’t you think it’s time to tell him you’re interested?”

Katsuki knew his friend was right in some way, and damn he would be blessed if it was just that easy.

“Oh yeah, great idea shitty hair! And how would it go? ‘Hey Deku remember I’m the asshole who made your childhood living hell, want to carry my pups?” He growled not exactly directed at Kirishima, mostly at himself.

The redhead sighed, and leaned back on the branch they were currently sitting on. They weren’t close enough for a human eye to catch them, but with their abilities they could easily see further.

Noticing the deepening frown on the blonde’s face he tried to change the subject. “What is he doing here anyway?” He asked curiously lingering in his voice.

“He has some business with the round faced witch I guess.” The other answered with an uninterested face. “He’s been working as some servant in the house. That nerd really got nothin’ better to do?”

“Well if you ask me ‘s kinda hypocritical since you’ve been sitting on the same branch watching him while he’s doing it.” Kirishima showed a light grin.

The inn that was owned by the witch -whose name was Uraraka by the way but Katsuki didn’t bother to remember- and her family, lay much closer to his kingdom, almost on the line of boundary between the The Endeavor kingdom and the Land of Dragons.

Needless to say the moment, the blonde alpha recognized the familiar scent, faintly closer he had rushed there with no further explanations to anyone. Not even the current leader, his devil of a mother who —  if it weren’t for Katsuki witty comrades — would burn their entire place down, dragging the stubborn prince back with herself.

Fortunately, he’s got the most strong, admirable, loyal, smart, quick thinking-

“Oi, dunce face stop praising yourselves in your empty head of yours, and spit it out what the old hag has to say.” The rough command was heard from above, and the blonde who just arrived showed a delighted grin to the two.

“Sometimes I forget you can read our minds...” he mumbled as he made himself comfortable on a different branch across. “Well you see, the queen didn’t take well your absence, and your..” He tried to recall the words. “-Shitty rebellious behavior, and fucking lack of respect.” Denki mentally pat him on the shoulder remembering the words that left Queen Mitsuki’s mouth.

Katsuki frowned and arched a brow, a motion to continue.

“Yes, after that I waited for her to calm down a bit when I told him that you ran off to see your omega-“

“What the fuck you sparky bastard? I told you to make up a lie!” Bakugou gritted his teeth in annoyance. He didn’t want to deal with the questions his mother would throw at him, once he returned.

Kaminari lifted his hands up, a sign of defense. “Hey, hey, hey in my defense... She didn’t say anything after that. She just blinked and asked who is it... I didn’t want to tell her ‘cause I know it’s your dirty secret or whatever, but she used the mind thingy!” He cried out, although it wasn’t the memory the frightened him, more like the explosive blonde who stared at him with bloody eyes.

“..And?” Kirishima spoke, interested in how the story ended.

“She just smiled like- in a knowing way, it was terrifying!” The blonde shivered. If there was someone scarier than Bakugou it would be his mother. “And she mumbled something under her nose, then patted my shoulder. She dismissed me, and told me to go back here.” He finished with a last breath.

“And this whole shit took you four fucking days? We are like two days away from the castle if we’re walking. And you used your fucking wings.” Katsuki barked but no real bite, but his gaze was fixated on his loud blonde friend for answers.

Both him, and Kirishima’s eyes were on him now, but he just shifted uncomfortably on the branch, a small smile tugging at his lips.

Eijirou’s concerned face turned into a wide grin as he crossed his arms.

“You were with the mind-manipulating guy weren’t you?” He implied lightly, and watched with an even wider grin as his friend's cheeks turned pink.

Denki looked away from them, only to notice a greenette coming their way.

“Hey, isn’t he your-“

“Fuck. Hide extras.”

And so, they did.

Izuku hummed softly as he wandered between the large trees. He’s been staying at Uraraka’s inn for a few days, and he plans to stay here just as much. In all honesty he loved this place. He, and his mother used to live closer, that’s how he met the young witch here. And that’s how he also met Kacchan.

Kacchan- The name tasted sour, even if he didn’t actually say it out loud. The green head had mixed feelings about the Lord of dragons since childhood. He was always a hero-figure to him. With the abilities he mastered, and with the determination of becoming the most powerful king among the land fascinated Izuku. To other people Kacchan seemed a cocky, all-talk brat who just forced his god-complex onto people. But Deku saw, he knew, that the blonde was actually capable of achieving everything he wanted. That’s how it works.

What Kacchan wants, he will take it without mercy.

He and Kacchan had a fairly good relationship, he was his best and only friend at the time. They had met in the forest that lay on the boundary line between the Endeavor Kingdom and the Land of Dragons, and they promised to meet there everyday.

They were about six when they met the other kids who spent their free time among the trees as well, and let’s say since that encounter he and Kacchan’s relationship wasn’t the same. The fact that Kacchan had to move didn't strengthen their bond either, but it was for the best, Izuku had thought at the time. While he wasn’t delighted by his friend leaving, he assumed if Kacchan would stay their connection would just turn worse by each day. So when the day came the boy let Kacchan go with a heavy heart.

Izuku wondered if he’d stumble upon his childhood friend, but he doubted it. Kacchan had way more important responsibilities than waking around the boundaries of his land.

His mind then pondered back to his town. To his mother who probably worried about him, like always, he would live in their small cottage house. To his mentor, Toshinori who took him as his successor, and trusted him that he’ll protect the lands from the damage, and evil  souls. His heart raced just from the thought that now, he had magic in his bones, veins. True, he hadn’t exactly managed to use all of his powers, but now he’s able to work with it without breaking his bones.

Being born without magic, and as an omega didn’t stop him from becoming the traveler who wanted to be. Protecting and helping everyone he could. This was his fate.

More thoughts flaming into his mind he almost stepped over a small creature with fluffy yellowish fur.

“Oh, I’m so sorry little one.” He gasped out loud and kneeled down to take a look at the animal.

It had big, cat-shaped eyes that matched with its fur. The animal seemed rather in shock and his eyes wandered between Izuku and something in the bushes.

The omega reached out his hand carefully. The bunny-like pet didn’t move but didn’t snuggle closer either. He just stayed still and let the greenette stroke his back with gentle motions.

Midoriya offered a light smile to it, and the being blinked at him and then showed an expression Izuku could describe as a- grin. A smug, teasing grin at that, when he was looking at the bushes once more.

He petted the animal a few more times before picking up his bag. Ochako has asked him to collect some flowers, so she could make the whole house tea.

“Well, see you around.” He stood up and started walking. He didn’t want to admit but there was something weird about the creature, and its atmosphere. He shrugged it off, claiming he’s seen more weird things along his journeys, and shifters weren't uncommon. Maybe this one was too shy to show his real-self.

Explosion sounds echoed in a large bush. It was almost loud enough to outvoice the shouting.

“I SWEAR I DIDN’T MEAN TO-“

“LIKE HELL YOU DIDN’T, YOU SLY BASTARD!”

More explosion sounds. More shouting. And a tired sigh coming from the red head dragon shifter.

Kirishima, having had enough of the bickering, stood between the blondes, and unattached Denki’s neck from Bakugou’s hands.

“Bakugou listen-“ He started, in a calming voice which didn’t seem to work. “I’m sure Kaminari didn’t mean to- getting head pats by your crush.” He finished unsure, and ignoring the fact how ridiculously it sounded

Katsuki must have noticed it too, cause he lowered his hands and dropped himself down with a ‘tch’

“Thanks brother.” Denki whispered and sat down as well, keeping fair distance from the other male.

Kirishima sat between them, and they stayed silent for a minute for what seemed like eternity.

“So...What now?” The beaten up blonde spoke.

“Well i have an idea that might succeed.” Kirishima started making both his friends to turn their attention to him.

The bi-hair colored male let out an exhausted sigh as he got off of his horse, who seemed just as tired as the prince felt.

“Should we rest for the night my highness?” A stoic but worried voice came from his right. He shifted his multicolored gaze to his second-in command, Iida Tenya.

He was a respectable, and loyal beta, and he didn’t lack politeness either. Shoto has known Iida since he turned fifteen, still the man has refused to drop the formalities, even if it was just the two of them.

“I think it’s actually a good idea Iida, we should be able to reach the hidden-cave in sunlight, and the prince does look like he could use some sleep.” Yaorozou agreed with a yawn.

Todoroki just nodded. ”I’ll be off for a while.” In all honesty his thoughts were still on his poor excuse of a father and king, who made sure he was threatened, if he didn’t come back with the useless sword that was the object of his obsession for years.

Once he becomes king, the whole Land of Endeavor will change.

But in reality he’s wandering around in an unknown forest, searching for a sword that wasn’t sure it even existed. He just needed that to be successful.

Well, that and a mate.

Without someone, supporting him it was impossible to convince the old men in the council that he was ready to take the throne.

Maybe if he payed to someone for a small amount of time and they’d leave right afte-

He didn’t notice he bumped into something until the thing landed on the ground with a puff and an “ouch” sound.

He blinked slowly realizing it wasn’t really something, more like someone. Someone with an almost unbearable sweet scent.

Todoroki lowered his gaze, only to find a mop of green hair identical with the grass that surrounded them.

He could tell that he was a boy and an omega by the scent.

He offered his hands as he came to his manners. “My apologies, I didn’t pay attention-“ His words stuck in his throat along with the air when the emerald irises met his unmatching one.

Izuku couldn’t tear his eyes apart from

the alpha before him. He was so unique, and beautiful he could stare at him all day and he wouldn’t get tired. And his scent. It reminded the omega of those winter nights he’d curl up in his mother's arms with a cup of warm tea, watching the snow slowly falling, painting everything white.

He quickly came to his senses with a shake of his head, and stood up collecting his red bag, full of different kinds of herbs and flowers.

The man seemed to wake whatever trans he was in and pulled his hand back.

Midoriya was so occupied studying the stranger’s face he didn’t notice the attire he wore.

A highborn. Izuku guessed. No such man would wear a sword like his, unless he stole it. But his clothes say otherwise.

And that’s when realization hit him.

There he stood before him, prince Todoroki Shoto.

He immediately bowed in respect. “Oh my god, oh my god, I’m sorry my prince! I hadn’t recognized right at the moment and I-“

“It’s alright.” Monotone but shooting voice reassured him and stopped his rambling by touching his shoulder.

Shoto didn’t exactly know why he had touched the smaller boy he just felt the need.

“What’s your name?” He asked to cut the silence once more.

“I-it’s Midoriya Izuku.”

“Midoriya...” He repeated tasting the name on his tongue. He liked the sound of it.

“Y-yes! And I assume you must be prince Todoroki?” The green head was uncertain still, but friendly.

“Just call me Shoto.” He suggested with a shrug, and let his hands fall from the boy’s shoulder.

Izuku nodded, not sure what he should do in a position like this. He never once met one of the Todorokis and he was certain he didn’t expect the first meeting something like- this. All Might would tell this, or that about the royal family, mostly the king Enji, and from his mentor's words it didn’t seem like he was fond of Toshinori.

The omega bowed once more and shifted nervously under the heterochromatic irises. “Well I’ll be going then-“ He turned around but a cold firm grip, just enough to stop him, grabbed his wrist.

He froze, not daring to move an inch. He could easily free himself but he wasn’t stupid enough to use his powers on a prince. At least not yet.

“Wait.” When Shoto was sure the boy stayed still he let go of his arm. “Do you know a place where my knights and I could rest for a few days?”

Izuku’s ears perked up, and he shifted his gaze back to the prince who was looking away while- blushing?

The greenette expression grew more excited. Uraraka will float away if he comes back to her with the prince no less!

“Of course. Actually I too, just arrived not long ago. There’s a really lovely inn with...“

And he rumbled further shoto couldn’t help but listen with a light smile. Maybe his travel wasn’t entirely useless after all.

“Where the fuck is he?” A growl emerged from the alpha.

“He’s still out I guess. He hasn’t returned since we ran into him. Or more like he ran into Kaminari’s bunny form.” Kirishima noted munching on an apple. Apple wasn’t his favorite, he preferred meat, but he didn’t have much choice, since he was undercover.

“The fuck’s taking so long?” Katsuki gritted his teeth and a hint of smoke left his mouth.

“Calm down, before you turn into a volcano.” Kaminari laid on his back playing with tiny sparks on his fingers.

Bakugou flipped him off as he got up shaking down the grass from his pants. “I’ve waited fucking enough I’m going in.” He stated simply and started walking towards the inn.

“Wait for us!”

Uraraka just finished memorizing a difficult and important spell when he heard the door loudly shut open.

“Hey Deku what took so lo-“

She cut herself off when instead of a small figure and green locks, she met a bare chest full of tattoos and accessories, and light hair.

Bakugou Katsuki the dragon lord himself.

The young witch gulped, trying to force a smile as kind as possible. “Good evening! What can I help you with?”

Bright red head pushed aside the scowling blonde, and offered a smile to the girl.

“We would like to stay for a couple of days.” His tone was genuine but his sharp teething made Uraraka shiver. They sure came from the land of dragons.

“As you wish! We have rooms for-“

Before he could finish a chirping familiar voice interrupted her. All of the heads were whipped towards the door.

“Ochako you won’t believe who I just ran into!” Izuku burst into the room with a wide grin on his face, at least before he recognized the scent and the figure before him.

“...Kacchan?”

The blonde’s heart skipped a beat at the sound of his own silly nickname. Unconsciously a smile tugged on his lips.

“Hey, nerd.”

The witch blinked in confusion. “You know the dragon lord?!” She questioned in disbelief.

“Well yeah, me and Kacchan are-“

“Midoriya?” A deep voice cut through the air, and a bi-colored head popped up at the doorway.

If Ochako was shocked before, well now she was on the edge of fainting. She know she didn’t just witness Prince Todoroki calling out to her friend like it was the most normal thing ever.

“O-oh right! Sorry Shoto.” The boy smiled sheepishly, and stepped aside letting the prince and two more people inside.

Uraraka wasn’t the only one who gaped at the sight. Bakugou’s red gaze wandered back and forth between the so-called prince and the omega.

“What the fuck is he doing here?” The question unconsciously slipped from his mouth.

Todoroki who just seemed to realize there were more people in the room aside Midoriya, glanced up and when the familiar not so pleasing scent hit his nose he scrunched it up.

“I could ask the same question Bakugou.”

It was the greenette turn to be in confusion. Of course he suspected that the royal families knew each other but still. “You two know each other?”

“Fuck yes, I wish i didn’t though.”

“Yes we’re... friends?”

Izuku blinked at the answers, not sure how to handle the mixed energy. He heard faint snickering behind both Alphas, and the counter.

Katsuki growled at the other prince. “You have a poor definition of a friend then half n’ half.” He shifted his gaze back to Izuku.

“Uh- well I’m happy our hostel is popular among the kingdoms but..” The young witch stopped his gaze, finding every person in the room. “We only have three rooms left.”

The room grew silent after she announced the fact.

“So what? We just have to share, two people can fit in one room.” Kaminari suggested.

“That’s not the point dumbass, someone has to share from the other group, and hell if I’m trusting the Endeavor’s bastards.” Kacchan insulted once more.

“Excuse me, dragon lord, but I’m warning you that out countries aren’t at war at the moment, and the unnecessary behavior-“

“Shut it glasses.” The blonde snapped at him, but his eyes were still on Deku and Icyhot, who stood a little too close to his Deku.

He was fuming on the inside, because his plan was almost completely shattered now these extras were also present. It would’ve been easier to catch the green boy alone, but now of course he has to deal with the stuck-up prince and his groupies.

“I can share my room. Mine is way too big for me anyway, and there’s a couch by the window.” Izuku’s silent voice offered suddenly.

“Well I guess I have no fucking choice but-“

“I’d like to share a room-“

Both Alpha spoke at the same time again, filling the room won’t heavy tension as their gaze met.

Katsuki’s blood colored irises were full of fierce annoyance, on the other hand Shoto’s mismatched eyes could seem uninterested, but if someone took a good look at them they were challenging and a hint of mischievous glint was also present.

Katsuki wanted to rip his expression in half with several explosions.

Iida as a conscientious knight of the Endeavor kingdom cut the tension as he spoke up. “Both princes should have their own bed comfortably. I can take the couch in Midoriya’s room for the time being.”

Instead of getting approving pats on the shoulder both Alpha whipped their head in his direction.

Katsuki gifted him a harsh glare and was about to open his mouth but a hand of a red head stopped him from doing so.

Shoto just narrowed his eyes in silence, a motion that was unusual of him but Iida knew that’s how he showed his displeasure.

Did I say something wrong? He wondered.

“That’s very nice of you Iida-kun! Come on, I'll show you where you can put your things. Also would you prefer the bed I can sleep on the couch too for a few days, I know how important it is to protect the prince-“ With that the small green boy dragged the knight with him towards the steps his mumbling voice echoed for a while.

Bakugou bit down harshly on his friend’s hand enough to draw out blood. “Get your dirty hands off me, shitty hair.” He grumbled.

The blonde ignored the painful yelp, and the chattering between Denki, round face, and the other knight, and turned towards the weak-excuse of a prince.

“You didn’t answer my question, Icyhot.”

Todoroki just lifted a brow. “I came to collect the ancient sword of All Might. We’ve been traveling for days, and it seems to be a good place to rest.”

“What do you want from Deku?” In honesty he didn’t care about the other male’s shitty traditions or whatever was that. He definitely didn’t like the way he looked at the omega.

Shoto blinked. “You mean Midoriya?” He questioned but he already knew the answer. It was obvious. “I don’t think it’s any of your concern.”

The dragon prince wasn’t pleased with the answer in the slightest.

He was just about to grab the stupid half-face but the collar and make it obvious that Deku, Izuku was his and don’t even think about laying his filthy fingers on him—

But the bastard had nothing, but the guts, the audacity he spoke up before.

“But his scent is fascinating. By the end of my trip I might just take him home. If he agrees of course.”

Katsuki saw red. Massive explosion crackled between his fingers and before he knew it, his palm collided with a cold ice wall, nearly stopping him from making another ugly scar on the prince’s face.

“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY?!” He shouted, now trying to shake off Kirishima who on the other hand did his best to stop Bakugou from combusting. He was present a few times when the Todorokis and Bakugous would meet, and it was rather peaceful. Sure Bakugou always got the temper, but Shoto was ignoring him or paid him as much attention as was necessary. But now from how the crown prince’s lips twitched upwards Kirishima knew something was fishy about the situation.

“Hey, is everything alright here?” A concerned voice cut through the tension like a sword. “Oh my-“ the boy gaped at the shattered ice pieces laying messily on the floor and the smell of burning sugar mixed with incredibly strong and mad alpha pheromones, if he didn’t know better he’d say he’s witnessing a battlefield after a tough match. “Okay stupid question.” He murmured.

Everyone shot their attention to him and honestly it was weighing. The most intense stare was probably Kacchan’s and that’s when he remembered he needed to talk to him. Perfect timing. Well no, actually not but it seemed like a good idea to put Kacchan away to a place without people for a while.

Nobody answered the question, partly because nobody knew the reason behind the sudden outburst. With a sigh Midoriya took off his bracelet and started to release calming pheromones.

Everyone, including even the betas like Uraraka, Momo, and Kaminari could smell the fresh and sweet smell coming from the omega. The tension in the room dismissed almost immediately, which was a surprise. The scent definitely had the strongest impact on the blonde dragon lord of all people. His scowl softened, and the rage in his eyes disappeared filled with something else, something ...fond.

With careful steps Midoriya approached Katsuki. “Kacchan, may we talk for a quick second?” He asked in a tone that was between uncertain but confident.

Kirishima released the blonde who stepped towards the green head. The red head was sure Midoriya could ask Bakugou to run around the kingdom in women's clothing and the blonde would obey without a word. Just how much power the small man held.

And with that he dragged the furious blonde out of the lobby leaving a shocked witch, two amused dragon shifters, a confused knight, and a grumpy prince alone.

This is going to be a hell of a vacation.

“So if you’re having questions about anything, I’m mostly at the reception desk with Ochako-san, but you can also find me here in the forest. We have breakfast, lunch, and dinner together but you can use the kitchen anytime you wish.” Izuku explained with a last breath.

“Thank you for your generousness Midoriya-san. I wish to rest for the day if you don’t mind.” The knight said, ready to collapse into the couch.

“Of course Iida-kun! Sleep well.” The boy nodded and left the room. He was planning to go to bed later today, since he woke up late.

When he heard the door soft click, just realized the weight of the whole situation held.

Katsuki Bakugou, his childhood friend, and personal bully was here, under the same roof with him and he didn’t know he wanted to laugh or cry.

And if it wouldn’t be enough he bought home the crown prince of the land of Endeavor on the top of it.

“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY?”

Deku led him to a garden full of colorful grass, and if he really wanted he would surely find some edible vegetables, and berries in it. Not that he would at the moment.

It was dark so the human boy must haven’t seen that much of the surroundings, but he knew the place perfectly well as he plopped down to the grass in front of the small garden.

Katsuki, still in daze because of the omega pheromones, did the same, and just like that the greenette slipped back his bracelet. The scent weakened but was still here. However, it was enough to snap Bakugou’s mind back to its place.

So they sat there in mid-uncomfortable silence as neither of them knew what they should say.

It wasn’t a surprise when Deku broke the silence. “So.. how have you been doing Kacchan?”

“...such a Deku way to start a conversation.” Katsuki was never good with words, so that's the best he could come up with. The blonde could almost hear Kirishima’s annoying snickering in his head, having the guts to call him out because of his lack of social skills.

“What does that even mean?”

The greenette sounded offended but there was no real bite to his words.

“Okay...then another one— what are you doing here?”

“Hah? Am I not allowed to be here?! Five seasons ago it belonged to my territory!”

“No, that’s not how I meant Kacchan! Is there some specific reason you’re here right now?”

You.

Of course, he wasn’t going to declare the truth just like that.

Not because he was afraid of rejection or any ridiculous thing like that.

Definitely not.

The Katsuki Bakugou wasn’t afraid of anything.

“We’re just.. passing by.” He shrugged off nonchalantly and blessed the gods his voice wasn’t as unsure he was feeling inside.

Before Deku could ask anymore questions he himself didn’t know the answer to, he asked instead. “What are you doing here, Deku?”

“Just helping out Ochako since her parents left for a few weeks. If I have the time I’d always come back, being here just... feels like home somehow.” Izuku explained, his gaze was fixated on the stars above them.

Damn right it does feel like home. Katsuki watched the omega, observing how each star would light up izuku’s emerald eyes differently.

Comfortable silence surrounded them, cricket chirping, and other animals shuffling around were the main noise source.

Katsuki didn’t know why. Didn’t know why Izuku was the only one who could make him feel such strong emotions. It was always there. Since he was a brat, Deku was the only one who could piss him off the most, who could calm him down. Who could even— make him a better person.

Bakugou didn’t want to live in a world where the nerd wasn’t beside him.

“Tomorrow..” The green head started, playing with the hem of his bracelet. He wasn’t sure why Kacchan was so calm. Sure, they haven’t met in a long time, but have the blonde changed that much?

Izuku shook his head. He was ready to rip Shoto’s head in half just two minutes ago.

He had a lot of doubts. Does Kacchan still consider him as a friend? Like Kirishima? He couldn’t place himself in Katsuki’s list of priorities. There was so much to say and yet, they couldn’t utter a word.

“Tomorrow what?” The dragon prince snapped after realizing Deku won’t finish the sentence he started.

The other jumped at the tone, landing at his butt a few inches away. “Oh! Um- Tomorrow, I’ll go with Prince Shoto and the others to look for All Might’s legendary sword.. Do you want to come? You know, we always wanted to explore the world when we were younger.. since you probably don’t have the time for that I- I thought we could do this together..” Deku rambled out, and honestly he thanked his ancestors. It was dark and the blonde couldn’t see the hint of pink appearing on his cheeks.

Is this a courting invitation? Bakugou shook out the thought of his head, and that’s when a whiff of something, in Izuku’s scent caught his nose. He leaned closer without any bother, and sniffed dangerously close to the smaller scent gland.

“K-Kacchan!” The omega choked out placing a hand on his childhood friend’s chest who just grumbled in response.

“What is this Deku? Your scent.. changed.” He stated simply, waiting for an explanation as crimson met emerald.

The thought of Deku, his Deku, already having some poor excuse of an Alpha crossed his mind and he gritted his teeth not to explode right there and then. He would absolutely slaughter whoever was foolish enough to claim the man who was rightfully his.

Izuku furrowed his brows, and then he realized. Kacchan didn’t know about his magic. He still believed he didn’t have it. That he was just a weak omega to protect.

He smiled, standing up offering a hand to the dragon prince. “Want me to show you?”

Katsuki was taken aback by the sudden mood change, and eyed the hand that was held out to him suspiciously but accepted it nonetheless.

Izuku led him further into the woods, they chatted, bickered like all those years ago back then. Holding hands too, just like back then.

Just like it should be. Katsuki thought, but couldn’t ignore his racing heart. He also thanked his ancestors that the sun went down by now so Deku couldn’t catch him smiling like a stupid softie.

“Here we are!” The green head said excitedly as he let go of Katsuki’s hand.

The blonde raised a brow, as Izuku stepped further away from the moonlight giving access to see his face.

“Hurry up, and show me nerd” He tried to sound uninterested but actually the omega got his attention.

Deku grinned as green lights emitted his figure, at the very same time Katsuki’s eyes winded. He couldn’t- Deku didn’t have..

“You have magic?” Was all he sputtered out. How? When? And questions similar like those tugged in his mind yet he chose to stick with the most simple for now.

Izuku stopped lighting up the clearing, “Yes..” And then he told him. About All Might, about being the successor of the alchemist.

He wasn’t supposed to. But All might did say he can tell the person who he trusts the most. Someone who had an honest heart.

That person was Kacchan.

Even if the blonde was quite (a lot) bashful most of the time, he spoke what he thought. Even if it was hard for him. And deku admired him because of that. In a world like theirs honesty is something rare.

Bakugou listened quietly, with an occasional furrow of a brow. He didn’t, and he won’t admit out loud. But he was amazed.

All Might was— is still someone who he adores, who he looks up to, which seemingly doesn’t happen really often. And to think that all of the people in the realm, he would choose Izuku. Deku.

He wasn’t even mad.

Which said something. If it was any other person he’d probably be filled with rage, and uncontrollable fury that someone like Yagi Toshinori chose some callow nobody, when he could’ve chosen the dragon prince himself.

But the person in front of him wasn’t a nobody. It was Deku.

His Deku.

“..And now I can use it without breaking my bones.” The greenette smiled like it was the most natural thing to say, and lifted up his arms, a motion to save that they are in one piece.

Oh? Did Katsuki just imply he wasn’t angry? Yeah, well he wasn’t angry for not getting the magic, however...

“Stupid Deku, are you really that reckless?” He grabbed the smaller man by the shoulders and stared down at him with narrowed ruby eyes that sometimes shined up in the dark night. “Just a bad flick, and your leg is broken. Do you really just want to.. throw your fucking life away?” The alpha shook him, like he was in a trance, to wake up.

Deku’s eyes narrowed at that “Careful Kacchan... you almost sound like you’re concerned..” He bit back with such a bitter tone, it even made the furious Bakugou stop in tracks. He was about to open his mouth but Izuku interrupted “This was- this is my dream. I want to help people. What else am I supposed to do with my life? You don’t understand Kacchan.” He ripped himself away, making a good two meters between them.

Katsuki reached out a hand but drew it back after the harsh glare he had received from the omega. It definitely didn’t turn him on for some sick reason.

“Deku—“

“I am not the small, magicless useless omega you happen to know in the best Kacchan. And I’m going to prove it. Just watch, I’ll go getting the sword tomorrow.” He cut him off again defensively.

As he walked past him he caught a whiff of his pheromones and it made him shiver and take every piece of his self control to not just ravage the image right here and now.

And yes, he’d been practicing self control.

“Have a good night Kacchan.” He whispered before he left alone the dragon prince in the forest.

He had fucked up didn’t he?

The next morning when the golden string of the sun peeked between the curtains of his room, the green head magician woke with a sudden determination. He wasn’t going to back up.

He’d faced quite a lot of villains before, but there was something he never wanted to face.

His feelings for his childhood friend.

They were always there. There were times, too many than Deku would like to admit, when he wanted nothing more than to rush back to his hometown, and maybe all the way to the land of dragons— hug the angry alpha and never let go.

There was time he even started, but he knew it was just hopeless.

So he tried to get his mind, his heart off about it, about Kacchan but well.. his sudden appearance didn’t help much in his situation.

“I will be fine, he just goes away after a few days and then, everything will be back to normal..”

But did he really want that though?

“Midoriya-san, it’s time to go. Prince Todoroki, Prince Katsuki, and Momo are already at the front doors.” The knight interrupted his train of thoughts and Izuku just nodded, following him down the stairs.

It will be an adventure that’s for sure.

Todoroki wasn’t interested in omegas, alphas, betas nor men and women.

He had one goal, to take down his father and be the king everybody deserves.

While he knew it was pretty unlikely he could do everything alone, he was sure he could manage at least half of it. And for sure his advisers, and friends would help him in a thing or two.

So no, he wasn’t interested in Izuku at all. But he did seem like a good person, and he was an alpha with eyes. He couldn’t deny how cute the omega was.

But since he has eyes, very well working at that, he also has seen the way Katsuki Bakugou reacted when Midoriya entered the room.

How could he not grab the opportunity to tease the arrogant prince?

Oh well..

“So how have you slept Midoriya?” He asked casually, looking down at the smaller who was walking beside him, going deeper in the forest with each step. He side glanced towards the blonde who was already staring at the green head, and just shot him a glare that suggested ‘i’ll kill you’ but looked back to Izuku millisecond after.

Honestly, what kind of power does Midoriya have?

“It wasn’t bad, thank you for asking Todoroki-kun and...”

They chatted, sometimes comfortable silence filling up the air, and it felt like more than a trip instead of a searching mission.

“Okay so, Ochako gave us two locations. One here.” Momo pointed to a place on the map. “And the other is here.” He slid her fingers a bit further but it was still close. “It would be wise to split up, and check the both of them while sparing our time too.” She suggested standing up, putting away the map.

Everyone looked around for a second, then the dragon prince spoke up. “I’m going with the nerd. You three can go to the other.” He stated by simply grabbing Izuku by the arm.

“You didn’t even clarify which location you would go to, prince!” Iida shouted after them waving his hands around.

“The further one asshat!” Todoroki heard the blonde shouting back, giving him one last menacing glare as they disappeared in the woods.

The half and half boy couldn’t help but smile and wonder ‘Do I still have that rare type of cold noodles at home?’

“Kacchan! What was that for?” Izuku finally gasped out as he released himself from Katsuki’s grasp.

“What shitty Deku? Do you think just because you got magic now, I’m not good enough to walk beside you huh? That’s what you wanna say? That you’d prefer that half’ n’ half’ bastard?” He spat the words with venom, as he continued marching forward the spot the sword might’ve been.

Izuku  stopped for a second, but after realizing the alpha wasn’t going to slow his pace or wait him up, he rushed even faster. ‘Oh what a deja vu..’ “What are you talking about?”

It was Bakugou’s turn to halt, the green head colliding with his well built back, landing on his butt in surprise.

In a blink of an eye Kacchan was on top of him, pinning him to the ground, a growl escaping his lips. “Are you really that fucking blind?”

Izuku furrowed his eyebrows at that and opened his mouth to protest, but his words were swallowed by the alphas lips, tasting him ever so slightly.

Before he could even react, wake from the stance of shock, Bakugou pulled away an angry, from up close Deku can see a hint of sadness in those mesmerizing red eyes.

“Deku I- fuck.” He breathed out but not letting go of the smaller. “I-I’m sorry. Not for what I did just for not asking for your—“

Midoriya didn’t let him finish the sentence as he pulled him down for another kiss, now as a willing participant. This one was much more heated, filled with all the emotions they’ve been holding back.

When they parted away again after the kiss-turned-into-make out-session, Katsuki cupped his cheeks “Izuku, I want to make you mine.” He whispered out, and the omega couldn’t decide if it was the raspy tone, the statement itself, or just the simple use of his name that made him wet in less than a second.

“Kacchan-“

“You have no idea..” He started, kissing his freckles one by one. “..How long I’ve been waiting, wanting to tell you but fuck-“ Red orbs met emeralds and they understood. They understood it very well how deeply they had it for each other. “-I fucking suck at words. I’m an alpha of actions so.. let me show you how much I want you Deku. We can stop now, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to stop myself if we’re going further.”

Izuku felt like he had died and this was some ridiculously pleasing afterlife. It was like his brain couldn’t adapt what’s happening. Did Kacchan- The Kacchan he had always admired, and longed after was here... admitting he felt the same?

All the bottled up feelings over the years. They all overcame him, as he leaned into a kiss once more. It tasted salty, he didn't realize he was crying. The alpha gently wiped his tears away waiting for him to say something. “Make me yours Kacchan.” He whispered, eyes glinting with lust and love.

Katsuki needed nothing more, and with a smirk he dug into the meal that he’s been waiting for for too long.

Back in the inn, a redhead and a blonde were bored out of their mind, playing with old cards they’d found after the sword-searching squad left.

Their peaceful idleness was interrupted by a loud slamming of the front door, and they both whipped their heads towards the entrance.

There he stood, Bakugou Katsuki with an unreadable expression for most people, but if you spend as much time with the blonde like Kirishima you’d notice the softness of his eyes, and his lips slightly twitching upwards.

The prince was half-naked, his cape wrapped around the person in his hands and the two immediately knew.

Bakugou stomped as quietly as possible he could, and shot a glare to the two “Shitty hair, dunce face, tell the old hag I’ll be back in two days, try to not lose her head until then.” He grumbled out, before smiling down to the sleeping omega in his hands, as he entered his room.

Eijiro turned to his friend with a smug grin. “You owe me twenty gold coins.”

Because after all, what Kacchan wants, he’ll take it without mercy.
