The Family Fangirl

Summary:

Miwa has undeniably fostered an attraction towards Gojo for as long as she can remember. To be in the presence of the strongest jujutsu sorcerer was an honor she would never take for granted.

But over time, she learns more about him than what he lets on and gets closer to him as a result, though not in the way she expected.

FLASHBACK

"The wave of power you guys have been trying to hold back with your pointless status and traditions has grown bigger than you can handle and is now descending upon us," said the one and only Gojo Satoru in an ominous tone.

Miwa Kasumi found it impressive that he could hold such malice in his voice while sporting a smile.

"I think..." started the 76-year-old voice of Principal Gakuganji, principal of Kyoto Jujutsu High.

"...you're getting a bit out of line," he finished, glowering at Gojo through his long white eyebrows.

"Ooh, scary!" joked Gojo, leaning back against the green couch and crossing his arms. His childish indifference just now was jarring to Miwa.

The board at both Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu High largely consisted of elderly men who were conservative traditionalists that often clashed with those that had progressive ambition.

Like Gojo Satoru.

What a shame, she thought. I would definitely listen to Gojo if he wanted me to. I'm sure his ideas are amazing like him!

"Well, that's all I wanted to say," said Gojo, concluding the 10-minute meeting. "I'll be going now."

That woke Miwa up far more than it should've. He's leaving already?!

But she stood straight with her hands behind her back like the devoted secretary she was, trying desperately to mask how badly she wanted him to stay.

She had to contain herself as he passed the sliding door.

He shocked her when he peeked through again, holding a hand out.

"By the way, Principal Yaga will be coming in 2 hours! That false schedule of his really messed up big time!" said Gojo, waving for good this time. "Later."

Two hours?! thought Miwa. That's a lot of time.

Principal Gakuganji seemed to think the same thing, for he sighed deeply.

"Miwa, could you buy me some tea?" he asked kindly.

"Yes!"

She walked promptly to the sliding door and exited the room. "Excuse me," she said formally before shutting it.

Then she sprung to life and started sprinting down the wooden halls. She squealed delightedly.

If I can catch up to him, I'll get him to take a photo with me! she thought eagerly, speeding up.

"Ah, Gojo-san!" she called, rushing to the polished wooden bridge after spotting him.

The tall man stopped walking, hands stuffed in his pockets as he turned around. "Hey, what's up?" he asked.

Miwa stopped in her tracks, undeniably swayed by how chill he sounded just now. "I-I-I was hoping you could t-take a picture with me," she managed to get out, smiling hopefully.

"A picture? Sure!" he agreed, walking towards her. Miwa couldn't contain her excitement, so she fumbled for her phone in her blazer's pocket and opened the camera.

Miwa held it up, angling it. "Hm, you're not showing in the frame because you're too tall..." she said pensively, finding difficulty in fitting them both in her phone's view.

"I'll lower myself then."

She turned to watch him spread his legs along the ground so that his height diminished.

His quick-thinking made Miwa blush. He really IS cool! she thought again.

Gojo stared at her with a smile. "This good enough?" he asked.

Miwa held her phone up and found that he fit better. "Yeah!" Wasting no time, she moved in and gave a soft smile whereas Gojo did the same and held 2 fingers up.

She snapped the photo in front of Kyoto Jujutsu High's entrance.

Miwa started giggling uncontrollably as she stared at it happily. "Oh my God!" she cried, resting her free hand on her red cheeks. She bowed. "Thank you very much!"

"You're welcome," he said, and Miwa could've sworn his voice sounded a little teasing. He always sounded like that when he was in a good mood. She should know since she's such a huge fan of him.

Before he could leave, she had a spontaneous thought. "Wait, Gojo-san!"

He stopped and turned again. "Yeah?"

Her expression became downcast. "Forgive me for Principal Gakuganji's demeanor. He's quite... staunch, I guess you can say."

Gojo shrugged. "I already know the board's full of stuck-ups, so there's no need to apologize for words you didn't say."

Miwa looked up at him and found that smile again. "T-Then forgive me for calling your conduct problematic. If I'm being honest..."

Her gaze found his covered one again and she smiled genuinely. "...I thought it was pretty cool."

Gojo chuckled, and Miwa split a grin because it was such a beautiful sound. "Thanks. I just speak my mind, that's all."

Miwa vowed to do the same in the future.

"Thank you once again!" she said, bowing once again.

"Of course!"  replied Gojo in his chill voice, descending the wooden bridge's arch.

I got a photo! I GOT A PHOTO! she screamed internally, laughing delightedly as she spun around the halls, holding her phone out as if it were a dance partner.

Then when she arrived in front of the room Principal Gakuganji currently resided in, she took a deep breath and hid her phone, opening the door.

Miwa stood in her spot and held her hands behind her back.

Principal Gakuganji looked at her from his spot. "My tea?" he asked.

"Ah—"

It completely slipped her mind.
