Summary
Over the last nine years, Din'd had a multitude of children come through his house. Some were only temporarily there until their own families were able to take care of them again, but Ben had been with him the whole time. He was twelve now, and Din was the only parent he’d ever known. His mother had signed over legal guardianship to him when Ben had been three and then walked out of their lives. Din had tried a few times to find her, but she had just disappeared.
Din is a foster dad with five children, four of them foster kids. Luke is his case worker and their relationship is just in the beginning stages. How will everything work out when one of the kids gets sick beyond a doctor's care? The story of Din and Luke navigating their new relationship, the foster care system and the children.
