"Did you once stop to read the report last night, Genma?" Raidou spits his name angrily at his companion. Genma can be a real thorn in his side, constantly. "You see my friend I meet this beautiful woman last night I just couldn't stop talking-" Raidou cuts in "You mean fucking" with a glare of his sides points at Genma, the two climb the stairs into the Hokage's tower. Genma puts his hands up in mock defence "She was very beautiful Raidou, you would have agreed if you hung out with me last night" Genma defended himself the pair rounding the corner thru the large doors.
Lowering both their voices along the large hallways of the tower. "No, because unlike you I had guard duty and then a report to read" he scoffs shoving Genma's shoulder down another hallway "Well since you read it Raidou, mind sharing with me what's going on?" Genma nudged his friend's shoulder "Maybe I should just let you find out on your own" growls the other man getting a frown out of Genma "Pleaseee" the senbon wielder complained with a huff as Raidou kept glaring
"Our village and the Hidden Waterfall are going to do a joint mission. The first one to try to strengthen our alliance after the shit that's just happened" Raidou finally caved from his friend's annoyance. "Oh that's it, I thought it was exciting" Genma sighed putting his hands behind his head as the pair made it to the office doors "You're an ass" Raidou slapped his head opening out the door before Genma had a chance to retort.
"Genma, Raidou" Shizune instantly grabbing their arms whipping the pair inside, "Pleasure to have you joining us," she said bringing the two men around the table. "Read the report?" she asked spinning back around to face them "Of course' Genma lied easily, Raidou flickered his eyes to him frowning "Yeah. Course" Raidou nodded placing his hands on his hips. Shizune glances between them raising an eyebrow, she opted not to ask. Betting Genma was lying but it didn't matter he caught on fast enough normally in meetings.
"Good, the Hidden Waterfall shinobi should be here any minute. Now I've already made sure Lady Tsunade is on her best behaviour we need this alliance to hold; So please, please be good" Shizune put her hands together giving the boys a pleading look. Genma put on his best charming smile with a glint in his eyes "Always Shizune, I'm wounded you would ever think I wouldn't be" he put a hand to his chest playing pretend of being stabbed in the heart "Please don't you dare - and I mean it - flirt with them!" Shizune shook her finger in his face.
"What is with you both today; you're both getting annoyed with some harmless adult fun" He tossed his hands up "You spend most evenings in the company of random women of course I'm going to call you out on it" Raidou scoffed rolling his eyes. Shizune glanced at him pinching her eyes brows then back to Genma "Either way, behave. Please!" she spun around at the sound of knocking at the door, "Please!" she whispered a hiss at him heading directly for the door.
"You two are no found and you know it's because you aren't getting laid" Genma shrugged "Piss off I am getting laid!" Raidou screeched his mouth shut quickly when the shinobi enter "Raidou, behave! No flirty" Genma wiggled his eyebrows with a dangerous smirk "I'm going to smother you in your sleep" he growled in response, low and deadly but that did nothing to quell the playful smirk on Genma's face.
"Thank you Shizune" a female voice drew both their attention to the approaching shinobi. "Oh fuck" Raidou sighed under his breath seeing the smirk only grow on Genma's face "Welcome to the Hidden Leaf village" Genma put on his charming voice as ever, Shizune shot him a look ushing in Lady Tsunade who seemed unphased of whatever was happening. "Yes, welcome welcome let's get this meeting on with it then" Lady Tsunade waved her hand taking her place at the tables head.
Raidou groaned watching Genma wiggle his eyebrows at the women about their age with sparkling blue eyes like waterfall's itself across them. "So joint mission between the Hidden Waterfall and Hidden leaf; Mr Akimitsu please inform us" Tsunade waved her hand to a man next to her.
The shinobi bow his head "Thank you Lady Hokage" the man spoke in an easy tone almost strained. "The Hidden Waterfall has invested interest in the Volcanic island once belonging to the Land of Whirling Tides. We have blood ties of clans. After the destruction of the Hidden Eddy Village, the island was stolen under control of the Hidden Mist village." The shinobi explained, Genma leaned over once to ask Raidou questions or comment something he shouldn't the man wasn't sure but Raidou was quick to elbow his side into standing up firm and silent.
"As you will be aware our village is" the man closed his eyes tightly "limited" he decided his word choice opening his eyes back up "on shinobi. Our village cannot go out of our way to free the Hidden Smoke Village. We've purposed a plan of infiltration, information and assassination if needed. Our village will stand the political fallout. We will also provide you with our informant; most prominent clan in our village she's an excellent choice for this position. Your village provides the additional shinobi. I gather it stands as you two currently" Akimitsu sends a glance up and down the two ben before him.
"Only the leaf's finest" Genma is quick to say. Raidou rolled his shoulders stretching his back, "The Women?" he motioned to the girl stood between the male shinobi. "Yes me, Tsuki." she raised an eyebrow back at him. "Stunning eyes like that you'll catch far too much attention" Genma charmed much to Shizune and Raidou's dismay. Both sending pointed looks his way that the senbon user ignored. The women, Tsuki, didn't seem to dignify him with a reply ignoring his comment for the Hokage's gaze.
"Genma," Tsunade said getting him to look in her direction "You'll be accompanying Tsuki of the Hidden Waterfall. Your skillset is ideal and compliments Tsuki's. So you'll be representing our Village. Raidou will be the Handler. Communication between you both and us" Tsunade clapped her hands glancing at Shizune as if to silently ask could she leave now which the black-haired women was already shaking her head. Raidou's mouth dropped open just slightly shaking his head barely visibly "Why are you teaming him up with a pretty girl" Raidou whispered silently only allowing Genma to hear the words. "Because I'm ideal" Genma whispered back repeating Tsunade's words. "Your an idiot" Raidou snorted
"Are you willing to help us Genma ..." Akimitsu hung on his name looking for his clan name. Genma chewed the senbon "Shiranui" he answered easily. "And yes, I'm quite willing. Tsuki?" he jumped his eyes across to met hers. Sucking in a breath Raidou guessed to try to calm herself (much like he needed constantly to deal with Genma as well) "Yes, I'd like to get this mission done as cleanly and effectively as we can" Tsuki explained, "Then I'm your man, m'lady" Genma grinned "I'm going to position your next meal" Raidou sighed leaning his head back to the roof. Tsuki offered back a forced smile "Great" she nodded in agreement.
Tsunade clapped her hands once more "I gather you are capable of deciding your plan of action. Don't get caught or I might be forced to deny your existence Genma." she stressed staring the man down. Genma chewed his senbon, flickering it to the other side seemingly unaffected "Of course Lady Hokage. I wouldn't dream of being such a nuisance" he teased. Lady Tsunade smiled, "Right then I have very important paperwork to do, don't I Shizune! Let's go" She clasped her hand over the younger women marching from the room.
When the door closed Akimitsu turned his gaze to the two men "Is your Hokage often like this?" he asked, Raidou and Genma glanced at each other "This was a good day, no one got thrown out the window" Raidou groaned placing his hand's palm down onto the table where the map lay across. Akimitsu copied him with only a slight frown at the comment "Here is the Volcanic island, take the port here" he speaks pointing to the closest tip of the Land of Hot Water, Genma was already shaking his head pointing to a bay just above the whirlpool "Better to take the port here. You've too many Hidden Mist Shinobi who stop at those ports along the coast there to refuel and drink. At least in this bay, you'll find more pirates, men more likely to take you to the island without turning you over to the Mist" Genma explains easily slowly twirling the senbon around.
Akimitsu looks up to him with annoyance "That sounds far less safe dealing with pirates when one could simply take a merchant or travelling ship at these ports." the man scoffed, Genma shrugged "Each to his own. If this is infiltration, undercover I'd like to be quiet about it. Not piss off the Mist before I've even reached the island." Genma challenged. Akimitsu raising to stand the same level as the other man "We won't be having our shinobi in danger-" Genma laughed "She'll be fine with me, I know a good few pirate's there that'll sail us to that island without delay. I'd gather a might have a touch more experience on this than you and you are seeking our help" Genma flicked his Senbon up to attention.
Akimitsu growled, the other waterfall shinobi scoffed hard crossing his arms at Genma. Raidou shook his head in annoyance, already going swimmingly. "Play nice gentlemen." Tsuki voice broke the challenging glares of the men around her. "Yeah, gentlemen-" "That includes you Mr Shiranui" Tsuki cut him off. The assassin raised his eyebrows to smile growing on his lips.
"You know the region, Mr Shiranui?" Tsuki asked pointing to the map, "Genma. Call me Genma" He didn't dare take his eyes away watching the roll of them "Genma" she acknowledged after a pause "Aye, I do. Pirates and Mist shinobi are surprisingly a lot of fun to drink with" he explained leaning his forearms onto the table. "What he means to say is that we've had plenty of missions on the southern shores and we know how to avoid the Mist Scout ships. Some ports are better than others to travel to, even in the so-called land of forgotten wars. Their ignorance to battle is what allows it to be a difficult place to move" Raidou interjected explaining in a way he hoped would settle the tension between Genma and Akimitsu.
"Right then on this occasion, I'll put my trust in you to get us to that island safely and quickly. If we leave tomorrow, travel quickly how long will it take you to find us a good ship?" Tsuki asked him staring down at the man still leaned on his forearms at the table. "A few drinks" he teased getting a growled from Akimitsu once more "Fine killjoy; a few hours most. It depends on who is at the port. If the winds are good I can get someone to take us fairly quickly" Genma told her watching as Tsuki nodding in time with his words.
"Right, We leave tomorrow." she decided, "So soon? Barely a chance to get to know you, Tsuki" he teased standing back up "You can get to know me as we travel to the port, Happy?" Tsuki crossed her arms against her chest having to stare up at him. Towering over her. "Quite" he winked.
"We'll return to our rooms than to prepared" Akimitsu side-eye Genma who didn't bother a glance in his direction. The shinobi left them standing there, the moment the door closed Raidou slapped his head "What part of don't flirt with them didn't you understand?" he stressed "The 'don't' part, you know that word always trips me up" Genma tried to settle his laughter as Raidou smacked him again "You're like an angry older brother Raidou, always scolding me for having fun!" Genma retorted "That's because you're an idiot having too much fun!" Raidou pushed the door open wide with his shoulder shaking his head.
As promised by morning light they two met at the gate. Tsuki spoke in hushed whispers with her shinobi; though to Genma, it looked more like they were talking down to her. He didn't comment on it when they silenced themselves for he and Raidous presence. Raidou once more whispered at his ear to behave, with a cocky grin Genma assured him he would never dare think to do anything else. With a flick of the wrist, the pair started off from the village.
